Bears4Ever_34
Ben Johnson has been a disaster for the past month. 100% blew this game with his refusal to throw the ball inside the 10. Unbelievably bad coaching.
jason
3/G at the 2, and we can’t get in? That’s rough. Still running between the tackles to no success. Collinsworth is right…gotta get Caleb in space so he can get more time and place the defense in danger of run.

Two horrible calls that last series.  One to the throw attempt at Benedet and not throwing on the 3rd down near the goal line.  They had everyone on the line and nothing but open endzone.  Ugh.
jason
Can’t blame the defense on this one. They’ve been outstanding. Basically shut down one of the best offenses in the NFL. The Bears should be tied or down by 4 at the 2:00 warning. If not even better considering other mistakes.

Throwing to an offensive lineman in crunch time is a terrible idea. Too cute. Just run a play that they are great at.

Bears4Ever_34
Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson both had their worst games as a professional. Caleb's down field accuracy cost them this game, as well as Ben Johnson's decision making in the redzone. Gut wrenching loss. Defense played their ass off. On the INT, what was the play call there? 4 deep routes, no one underneath. You got there dinking and dunking, just keep doing that until they stop you. You needed 15 to 20 yards. They weren’t moving the ball all that well all game.

The quarterback is still too much in all or nothing mode. There were several times in this game he missed the RB in the flat for major yardage. He misses 5 yard out routes. It HAS to get better next year. Their lack of run game only highlights the necessity for having a quarterback that is efficient with the quick game to make up for it. ASHKUM BEAR
Offseason talk is now official. Lets see what Poles and Johnson have in store to improve. Our D showed improvements tonight, cant wait to see how they build. On Offense, what changes do they make there? No one expected to see us a play or two away from the divisional game. Agree, we had the chance to win this game. A few drops, bad officiating, BJ had some bad decisions, Caleb played well but has some bad decisions. Great season. The good things, the defense came to play, we need to bring Brisker back, they will regroup and learn from their mistakes. Another good draft, resign some players, get help on the DL, come out dominating next year with Caleb another year better. For the first year of BJ, we are now super bowl contenders next year. Could have been in the NFC championship game.
50england50
What a fantastic season this year. I did not expect what we have done, and Caleb has shown we have finally got the QB we have dreamed off having in the windy city.  A few different choices in the game and we would be playing Seattle. A big miss was losing Loveland late in the game. On the last interception, the long season, tough game and age, probably prevented DJ from getting to where he needed to be to either catch the ball or prevent the pick.  Hats off to the team, they have battled adversity and produced a remarkable season.  Now it’s on Poles and Johnson to make the correct decisions needed to make the roster better, either keeping the players we need to resign on affordable deals, moving on the players that make sense schematically and fiscally, and drafting and signing free agents, that make us a formidable team, because Caleb and Johnson should put us in the mix to be frequent playoff and Super Bowl mentions. Additionally, players might want to come to Chicago on affordable deals because of getting a chance of winning a ring.

Yeah, seeing the replays, he was jogging the entire route and the Safety from a standstill was able to beat him to the spot and make a play on the ball. I don't know how you can come back from that, all the other players saw it or will see it a million times between now and next season. The problem with DJ has always been effort. This year targets down, effort down. This was his first time on a winning team in his college and pro career and this is how he acts? Too accustomed to the loser mentality.
