I don’t think this means he’s close to returning I just find it odd he’s training in bare feet https://bearswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/bears/2026/09/02/bears-kyler-gordon-rehab-training-calf-injury/91581753007/ Report
Thursday at 05:13 AM3 days comment_235384 He’s doing sprints / makes you wonder if frustration with Bears is - they look at that and see someone who should be on field but he just isn’t there or isn’t quiet willing to trust his body to make that final push. Clearly he is not aligned with the staff. I actually was glad to see this video cause it in some way shows a bit of a fight back like hey I do care and I am working…which is more than I could say about Nate Davis. Report

Fireworks and popcorn could follow. I hope his intentions are to be the best and wish he took the route the Bears wanted. But that did not happen and IG posts about going to Paris for fashion bring back a taste Bears fans haven't forgotten. Report
Thursday at 07:47 AM3 days comment_235386 The PR on this aint great, and the Bears could say something but they choose not to which is a big sign. I mean i dont know anything about whats goin gon, but if you believe in the Bears, then it doesnt look good on Gordon. At the same time the talent is undeniable. If he comes back and plays well, i suspect we will trade him and he could well have a resurgence on another team, which is fine as long as we get something good in trade for him. It's too bad, because he is so good when he plays, but I dont think its so easy to earn Ben Johnson's trust after all of this.Kyler has to get back on the field and ball out no matter which scenario it ends up being. If not, he's out of the NFL pretty fast, and then, dude, no one is gonna care about your podcast. He's made enough money that he never has to work again, maybe he has Nate Davis vibes. i dunno. But the team is moving on without him whatever it is, and no matter how good he is - and he IS - it doesnt matter if youre not on the field. It's baffling, frustrating, and obnoxious. Report
Thursday at 12:32 PM3 days Author comment_235387 I remember being surprised he made the trip to Cincy when others were left behind to rehab. This video proves the Bears point that he is willing to do things on his own but not with the training staff. While Poles didn’t say that outright he alluded to it. Report
Thursday at 12:39 PM3 days comment_235388 I thought someone asked Poles and he was working out at the training camp staff? Now maybe that is just recently and why people are noticing him around but wasnt before. I never like to rag on injured players. For anyone that has played before some play with aches and pains and some dont. He has always been a team guy before but has had some nagging injures . Clearly brass in not liking the situation but he is here this year because of the cap hit to get rid of him. No one is trading for a big money player not on the field. Report
Thursday at 12:58 PM3 days comment_235389 As Poles and Johnson have previously stated, the locker room knows. Players that want to be part of the team outwardly show it. The way the brass is handling Gordon is warning other NFL teams. Buyer beware. Report
Friday at 11:23 PM1 day comment_235412 My assumption is Gordon wants to feel 100% before returning and probably stops the minute he feels something. Until he gets over that mental hurdle, he is going to be stuck in this loop. At this point, I don't even consider him part of the team anymore. If he comes back and contributes, cool, but I am not betting on it. Trapilo had a traumatic injury and recovery and is out there months ahead of schedule, and Gordon can suit up because of soft tissue without a surgery to recover from? Report

He watched Nate Davis do it and is following his playbook. It is my dark theory and it is sad many fans have to think about this. I hope I am wrong and he does return and plays a huge role in the Bears success. His workout videos show he rehabbing, so not sure he would be throwing hints of his progress and work to quit. Report

1 hour ago1 hr comment_235424 As anyone that's played before, injures are always different for each player. He is working out at Halas Hall so we can monitor his progress. I never got the impression from Gordon before that he was a soft player. Money changes your mental outlook so as it plays out, it will show if that is the problem. I think with his injures last year where he came back and wasnt 100% that he wants to make sure he doesnt have a reoccurring problem with injures and wants to make sure he's 100% before he steps on the field. Is he safeguarding it to much, probably. He has a month to completely be healed then I expect him to balls out when he does come back. The key to the defense is can someone carry the load before he comes back. With Bryant being out , this is critical on our performance early. Ourlads has the depth chart as Cam Lewis and Blackwell as the first inline to play there. I have read Muhammad is taking snaps there but I think they will prefer a vet as to letting the rookie ride the spot early. I am asking for your opinions, do you think we play with the 3 LB sets more? DeMarco Jackson, Devin Bush and TJ Edwards seem like a strong group and with the added speed at that spot, will it stay on the field for more snaps. Last year we were in the Nickel defense scheme 75% of the time. Maybe 60% this year? Report
