In our PPR league I traded Pierre Thomas and Willis McGahee for Matt Forte. This trade opened a roster spot for me but required the other guy to drop a player. I was absolutely shocked at who he dropped. Percy Harvin??? even more shocking considering it now leaves him with only 2 WR on his roster (bench included, and 6 RB) He also has 3 QB, 2 Def, 1 TE, and 1 kicker. Personally I'd have dropped one of my RBs or my 3rd QB and that would be Matt Flyn since he'll likely only get snaps in a blowout or the very unlikely case where Rodgers goes down with injury beyond maybe a one game loss for concussion. Not to sounds harsh, but as I've read, the Los Angeles and California taxpayers are footing a serious bill for the Jackson funeral. From my understanding, it sounds like it should be a cost that both the Jackson family and the promotion company, AEG, should be paying. The Staples Center and surround Theater hold about 25,000 people at best, and my understanding is the Jackson family had about half that held for them. it kind of almost sounds like a private ceremony and promotion. I've noticed many of you guys are from places like Ireland, Sweden, Chile, Arizona, Los Angeles, etc. I was just wondering you became Bears fans? Were you born here then moved due to money issues or a new job? Or was it a choice growing up to just pick a team and it happened to be the Bears?

Just wondering if there any people on this board who play Modern Warfare 2 on Xbox live. I would consider myself a casual gamer some of the people... ok most of the people on the multiplayer seem to take the game entirely too seriously and play it non stop. It might be fun to set up a clan or do some multiplayer matches with fellow Bear fans. This is going to be a long offseason for the Bears might be a fun way to pass the time.

Things in the polls look good. But I have little faith. I have almost no faith in an electorate and an electoral process that twice sent George W. Bush to the White House. I fear what the election of John McCain will mean to this country. I can't imagine four more years of ineffective governance. But, as you know, I see things differently than some others here. Some time back, I gave a quick "first hand" (me being from Alaska) perspective of Governor Palin and the full story of Troopergate and other news tidbits. Now, those of you in Illinois have a bit of a story your own with your Governor Blagojevich. So is this something that has been getting local attention for some time?
