  1. Started by Pixote,

According to NFL.com, the Bears have signed C.J. Gardner-Johnson. Here is hoping he can give us a boost over the pedestrian efforts of our current DBs. Chauncey Gardner-Johnson signing is a reunion to help save Bears’ injured secondary

  2. Looks like the Bears will come in at 6.5 underdogs to the 1-5 Ravens. The LBs and Gordon are going to have to spy Jackson and stop Henry. This will be a tough one, but Baltimore's defense has been bad and that won't change much out of their bye. If the refs call this game fair (unlikely), I could see the Bears winning this in a close game. However, the refs have shown they don't call games fairly, so I am thinking this will be close loss, both teams in the mid-20s.

Finally, I was beginning to fear they would have him sit out the year. They waited until the last minute to activate him, even though he was practicing. Now the big question: will he start against Cincy?

Where is Everyone who loved the Loveland pick? Where is the 12 personnel? Is it even being run? When it IS being run, is it even successful? When it IS being run, what’s the percentage of time the first round TE is blocking? Horrible pick at an unnecessary position. I know it’s early, but what a waste. He is underutilized, and so is the other good TE on the team.

  5. it's a new era in the nfl. gambling cartels in all probablility decide who wins games and who loses or at least the spread on points and probably about a hundred different things that can be bet upon. it's not even close anymore. the refs can choose to shave points or decide who wins or loses on selective penalties and calls during multiple games every week. they control the clock and the flow of each and every game which in turn controls the scores or other gambling points. is there any investigation into these allegations? certainly not. too much money is involved. the nfl itself is either complicit with this or just plain stupid, the same is for the owners. t…

  6. we hire an up and coming HC, the good. then we give an extension to a GM who has done less than nothing... the BAD the draft? seriously, the draft??? he could pull names out of a fish bowl wearing a blindfold with better results. we need this to start the season: DE and LT. what do we draft? every position we have a strength at. at freaking #10, a luxury TE when we have at the LEAST a competent one in kmet. we pass up 2 or 3 LT's. how many DE's? we draft high in the 2nd. our first pick... what do we get? a freaking WR? we had so many WR's we let one good one go. what do we pass up? LT's and DE's? 2nd round pick #2... we pick a RT. yea a RIGHT TACK…

  7. Started by adam,

Welp, that was fun while it lasted. Didn't think I would need to start this thread this early, but it is hard to see much light at the end of the tunnel with the brutal schedule. As of this writing, the Bears are one of 7 teams at 0-2, with 2-3 more likely by the end of the week. So the entire top 10 may be winless after two weeks. What sucks for the Bears is the reverse order SOS, so not only do you get punished in season with the toughest schedule, that also equates to the worst draft pick. The league should move to strength of victory as the tie-breaker, and only use SOS for 0-17 teams. That would be a much more accurate indication of a team's true strength.…

  8. The Bears just won back-to-back on the road, and 3 in a row. The schedule lightens up a little bit over the next month, but they cannot overlook the Saints on a short week. The Saints are 0-5 when they allow 20+ points and 1-0 when they allow 19 or less. They themselves only have one game where they scored more than 21 and that happened to be the only game their defense held their opponent under 20 (lol). That also happened to be the game where the Giants had 5 turnovers. So as long as the Bears don't have a crazy sloppy game like that, they should win by double digits. The Bears can't lose to a 1-5 team like the Saints at home, they just can't. I think this is…

  9. The early line has the Bears as +4.5 Dogs coming out of the bye. I think the line will shift as we get closer and determine the health of Daniels and McLaurin. Washington plays in LA at 3:25pm on Sunday, so they have to travel back home, but get an extra day of rest for MNF. So they very well could be 2-3 heading into the matchup with the Bears. The Commanders' offense is still putting up points, even with Mariota at QB. They scored 27 and lost to ATL, yet Mariota only threw for 156 yards. They had 147 rushing yards, which is what kept them in the game. The Bears need to shore up the run defense, especially if Daniels is back. Too early for predictions. W…

  10. I'm not here to start anything, but simply don't understand the choosing of this artist for the Superbowl. He doesn't sing in English. I've been blasted on other platforms for being racist, old and out of touch. To me, it's the demographic. I'm being told the demographic is not what I believe it is. I don't get it..

  11. Started by adam,

People forget how bad last year's Week 1 was because the Bears won, but I doubt people remember that the offense didn't score a TD (Stevenson had a Pick-6 and Owens had a Blocked Punt Return). The offense had 11 first downs, 5 passing, and had 148 total yards. This year they had 20 first downs, 10 passing, and had 317 total yards against a better defense. Williams' performance has also improved: 2024: 14-29, 93 yards, 48.3%, 0 TD, 0 INT, 3.2 Y/A, 2 sacks, 55.7 QB Rating, 22.5 QBR, 5-15 rushing. 2025: 21-35, 210 yards, 60.0%, 1 TD, 0 INT, 6.0 Y/A, 2 sacks, 86.6 QB Rating, 63.8 QBR, 6-58 rushing, 1 TD.

  12. Started by adam,

Kmet may have just had his worst game as a pro. They are overpaying for a very average TE. Too many drops and penalties for a veteran. DBs should not be able to tackle him so easily. I would consider trading him before the deadline for anything if Loveland is healthy. I really like him as a person, but he continually underwhelms and has seemed to take a huge step back this year.

  13. after watching these new kickoff rules for some time now i truly dislike them. especially in tight games with time running out the field position caused by this new rule is atrocious. it starts teams out on a drive 2 first downs from kicking 60 yard plus field goals to win (somebody riddle me this... the nfl existed for 90+ years and a 50 yard field goal was considered nearly impossible. now it's almost like an extra point.). add to that mess, it eliminates legitimate on side kicks with this nonsense. if they are worried about injuries, make a rule that all special team players have to wear those helmets that help protect against concussions. add to that if they…

  14. So looking up some different stats, I was shocked to find out that there is only one QB in NFL history to open their career up with over 4,000 Passing Yards, +25 Passing TDs, less than 10 INTs, and 500 Rushing Yards before the age of 24. Caleb Williams. I think he has 5 more games before hitting 24. So every stat he gets will stack onto this own record. He should easily hit 5K and 30 TDs by then. Crazy.

Looks to be out for awhile or possibly the entire season. Crazy think players can get hurt outside of work and basically get workers comp. Good reason for a fire sale I guess. Clean house at deadline and reset for next year. Use this year for offensive development and to evaluate players.

  16. The Hail Mary ended Flus's run, the team was sleepwalking after that game. My hope is this is the signature gritty win they were looking for, battling for 60 minutes to scrap out a last second win. Johnson needs to improve his play calling; felt like he was forcing the runs that were turning into instant lost yards. Then, with first and goal at the 2, you score on first down when you could have burned the clock all the way down and forced them to use their timeouts. A lot of learning points while getting a win going into the bye. They really need Edwards, Jarrett, Gordon, and Wright back.

In the last two games he has allowed 3 receptions for 16 yards on 12 targets with 3 PBUs, an INT, and a forced fumble + fumble recovery. PFF had the LVR game as his highest graded game of his career at 93.3 and the DAL game was his 3rd best. So in the last two weeks, Stevenson had 2 of his top 3 games of his career, and both games he was technically CB1. This is year 3 for him, but if he keeps this up, the Bears may want to get in front of an extension because he will only get more expensive.

  18. Started by Mongo3451,

Year one: he inherited a team with a terrible o-line, cap hell and no number one receiver. Not much to do, but fix the cap and try to accumulate picks. Year two: we get year three of the Justin experiment. Terrible o-line, the DJ Moore trade, Flus, Darnell Wright, Sweat and still no pass rush. Year three: the payoff. Draft Caleb and Rome. Terrible o-line, no pass rush and flus fired. Drafted a punter in the fourth instead of trench help. Year four: draft offensive weapons Loveland and Burden. Traded and signed entirely new IOL. Left tackle problems continue, no pass rush and no running game yet. History may judge him for not drafting an LT an…

  19. this tit-for-tat flame war has BURNED out!! i'm sick of it and i assume others on here are also. it's repetitive/redundant and quite frankly boring as hell. the flames are as creative as copy and paste material from an instruction manual on how to use a sewing machine. watching three grown men go on for months trying to get in the last word on here is plainly enough. nobody gives a shit anymore who is right or wrong. all three of you contribute to this site when you give us Bear's info and are interesting and very informative and nobody wants anybody to leave. but you are wasting our time clicking on threads containing this BS. 3-2 in 2025, should be 3-1 this year, that Week 1 loss to McCarthy still stings. Still feels great to get a win and go into the bye at 2-2.
