I found this hilarious. Everyone talks about how good the Patriots are and everything so much it makes most of us sick. So check this out. My information is from NFLDraftBible on Twitter. Between 2005-2008 the Patriots had a total of 26 picks and hit on just 3 of them. (Meriweather/Mayo/D. Thomas) He refuses to call Gostkowski a hit because he was a 4th rd pick where Brandon Marshall was selected just after him and Elvis Dumervil and also Ray Edwards later in the rd. He refuses to call a 4th rd pick on a Kicker a hit. I tend to agree with him as we have a better Kicker and he was undrafted. Just saying.

Now that we've all thanked Forte for his many contributions to the Bears for the last 8 years it's time to figure out who we are adding to the roster at RB. There is no way a RB focused coach like Fox is heading into the season with Langford and Carey as certain #1/2 on the roster, and with no clear 3rd option. I don't think there is much love for S. Perry among the coaches. I've seen no signs they are very interested in re-signing Jacquizz Rodgers, although he might be offered another 1 yr deal later in FA. While they will be looking for Langford to assume that #1 role I can't see Pace or Fox just handing it to him. There will be some competition for the job…

This is cool enough to share in a few places. This graphic from the Guardian shows how every team in the NFL has used its cap space, broken down by offense/defense and by position. One could waste a couple hours in this. Bears spent the 5th most on their offense in the league. Found that interesting.

W/ the draft so close, I wanted to take a fresh look at the OL. Here is my board. 1. Albert - I have him ahead of Clady, but ask me again tomorrow, and it could change. They are that close. While I think Clady has the most potential to start right away at LT, I simply think Albert is going to be a stud somewhere on the OL. IMHO, he has a ceiling of being a Walter Jones at LT, and a floor of Ruben Brown at OG. If we had no need for OG, I might edge Clady, but we need to hit on our 1st pick, and Albert is as close to a sure thing IMHO as any. 2. Clady is next, by a hair. Well, the Bears are more than on the ropes and they get a division-leading team Monday night.

I think we're in pretty good shape considering our financial situation and a limited draft. We added speed = 3 WRs , Kmet, Graham and Harris that makes the TE room better. A new QB, Patterson is going to be RB2 with Cohen the specialty back. One of the UDFAs may make the roster. The oline is still a question but they have new faces and holdovers that may take a step forward. Defense has depth at CB, S, OLB plus the front already did. Johnson, Quinn and Gibson may actually be better than who they replaced last yr. There were better options than players we picked up but with the money we had, Pace has did a good job. With the draft coming up, I thought this might be a good "catch-all" thread for people's favorite or least favorite prospects, or things they've noticed, low round prospects who are underrated, player comparisons, etc. All I know is what I read and what I see on YouTube and Draft Breakdown clips, but: - I don't see a ton of difference in tape and measurements between 1/2 round pick Nelson Agholar, and mid/late round WR Kenny Bell from Nebraska. - I mentioned this in the Safeties thread, but I like Kysheon Jarrett from VT as a late round safety/rover.
