I said it and a lot of others said it, the Bears were way to predictable last year. I remember being at the games calling out plays before the snap. I was drunk to boot. http://www.csnchicago.com/bears/bears-mart...ense-empowering From the article : “At first [the Trestman offense] was difficult to learn but after you got it, it pretty much was what it was, no changes week to week,” Bennett said. “We ran the same offense no matter what… . Last year we ran the same stuff no matter what. It was predictable. If it was third down and the down-and-distance was something, I could call a play before it came in.

Are they here next year? I cannot see the front office spending good money on either of there two players. I know we all want them to retire as Bears but not if it costs us getting a top notch offensive lineman or two if free agency. Thoughts? Peace

Really? You're still defending this clown? After multiple seasons and multiple games of horrendous decisions, atrocious clock management, and a complete inability to adjust in real time? Lovie must wear a diaper, because there's no way he'd make a decision to sit on the toilet early enough to stop the shit from staining his shorts. And if he did have enough time, he'd probably think holding it would be the best idea, and he'd go for it...kind of like he did with the 4th quarter.

http://chi.scout.com/story/1524412-bears-h...wn-rebuild?s=25 Marshall is gone and Cutler and Forte are on the trade block and the whole world knows it. Giving away Marshall for a mere 5th RD pick means we want to move on now and we'll just about pay you to take our players and their big contracts away from us. This much cap space puts anyone in FA in play and this is the best FA year in a long time, maybe ever. If you are going to go all in like this to remake a roster now is definitely the time to do it.

Here we go...now lets sign the kid and get to the work of the playoffs!!! Ex-Lions RB Jones paying Bears a visit By David Haugh | Chicago Tribune reporter 12:24 AM CDT, July 15, 2008 Really, the Bears have been jonesing for a running game since trading Thomas Jones to the Jets in March 2007, a month after their last Super Bowl appearance. Can Kevin Jones help supply the potent 1-2 punch that has been missing since then? Apparently, the Bears are curious enough to take a good look at the ex-Lions running back, a former first-round draft pick who believes he can return to 1,000-yard form after two serious injuries the last two seasons. Wha…

R Williams is a player that interests me, he was a highly touted prospect that hasn't flourished. Maybe it had something to do w/ JAX. But when it comes to a complimentory WR to fit our other WR's, I think Williams can bring that Larry Fitzgerald type. Adding Williams should be cheap and it can give CHI more options in the draft. ------------------------------------------------ 2004 DRAFT PROFILE: Reggie Williams 6-4 212 40 time - 4.48--4.62 at proday Positives: Reggie Williams has good speed for his size, great natural ability, and excellent hands. He is very physical, has good strength, and rarely loses out on a jump ball. In terms of player toug…

http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...2372&spln=1 Justin Smiley: Dolphins to release Justin Smiley? Justin Smiley - G - MIA - Apr. 27 - 7:45 am et The Dolphins are considering releasing LG Justin Smiley, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. The Fins shopped Smiley throughout the draft, but couldn't even use him as a trade throw-in. The addition of third-round pick John Jerry may have sealed Smiley's fate, though we'd think his $2.9 million salary isn't too much to pay an effective, experienced backup. Smiley was not a major liability in '09. Apr. 27 - 7:45 am et Source: South Florida Sun-Sentinel To me, this would solidy the …

Pats ended up getting the win, but the Dolphins blew a late lead as Troy Smith led the Ravens down for the game tying field goal. Stover to attempt a FG in OT for a Ravens win. Come on, make it, I want those stinking fins to go 0-16 with the Pats going 16-0 just to shove it to that old Dolphin team.

2 hours until we should start getting alerts from the usual suspects on social media. Last year Swift's deal was announced exactly at 11am. So I assume the Bears first deal will come in that initial madness. With 2x larger deals handed out to Thuney and Jackson already, they may go for a lesser Center upgrade than Dalman. From a money allocation standpoint, I think they may go Edge and DT with the last "bigger" deal. Then address the other positions of need in the 2nd wave.

BEARS SIGN BASANEZ Posted by Mike Florio on February 3, 2009, 3:15 p.m. Though there could be plenty of free-agent options on the market once the annual signing period opens later this month, the Bears have gotten a head start by adding to the offseason roster quarterback Brett Basanez. The team announced on Tuesday the signing of the former Northwestern quarterback. Basanez previously played for the Panthers. He spent most of the 2006 season on the practice squad, all of the 2007 season on injured reserve, and all of the 2008 season on the practice squad. Basanez was the Big Ten offensive player of the year in 2005. It’s unknown whether Kyle Orto…

  19. We went from being 3 point dogs to 5.5 favorites after Week 1. This is a game we have to win. The Steelers completely shut down Barkley (15 carries for 6 yards). They literally had 2x spies on him the entire game (and it worked). They made Jones beat them and he threw 2 INTs and was sacked 3 times. Slayton was their secret weapon with 2 TDs but the game was out of hand at 26-10, so one of those was in garbage time. Pittsburgh was able to run using their backup RB (Snell), so that is promising for the Bears who averaged over 5 YPC against Detroit. The Giants are playing on short rest after playing MNF at home. So they had one less day of rest and prep, plu…

Just curious if anyone is watching the game right now? I've seen some stats flash over my Bears app on the phone. Doesn't appear to be a very exciting game. And for what its worth Cutler still hasn't had any turnovers...so far. But his yardage looks short so I'm guessing they're employing more a dink and dunk approach, which I like. Noticed that Miami scored in the first 7 minutes of Q1. I have it set to record tomorrow when it replays on NFL Network. Just thought I'd ask if anyone is watching now and overall thoughts of the performance.
