http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,2975485.story Don't like that this is going on. At this point I'll say getting rid of Angelo, Martz and paying Forte are the Bears priorities. Even before signing a WR or OL

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...925,full.column I swear this guy is always on the wrong side of the truth. One minute he's schilling for the management, then he bashes when no bash is needed. I used to really respect his writing, but now, I think he's lost it.

Veteran C Olin Kreutz is walking away from the Saints because "he no longer feels passion and doesn't want to just collect paycheck," according to his agent.

After watching them this whole season (living in MN...) and seeing the weapons that he has to become the QB that he is, I don't give many props to Aaron Rodgers. Granted, he can throw the ball, and do it nicely with minimizing his mistakes. But when you have 5 WR and 2 TE on your team, that would compete for the 1 & 2 spots on almost ANY team in the league, you had better do a great job with them. Watching them all season, including the game tonight, just showed how often his WR are left wide open in a route and can catch the ball. Constantly they are on perfect timing. Now, whether that's their 'chemistry' or not, the speed and intelligence that ALL their WR…

    1. Thank god this travesty of a season is 7 days from being over. 2. Is anyone going to begin to listen to me now when I say it's not even funny to make fun of JA always drafting DE's and DT's? They clearly need help there. Melton and Peppers are the only good players, and even they were MIA today. Toeaina and Idonije suck. 3. McCown was decent enough, I guess. Bell is a keeper IMO. 4. Williams played good today, but he'll be gone next year. I'm still on the fence with Sanzenbacher. Hester is a ST player who has looked like s*** lately (yes, I know he's hurt). 5. Bowman is horrible. For everyone who wanted Jennings out...happy now? Bowman stinks. Oh, a…

It has the Bears taking WR Michael Floyd. That'd be good with me. Interestingly, it also has Mohamed Sanu going before Alshon Jeffrey.

  8. JA said last year they were happy with the Oline unit as a whole and that it would take time for them to gel as a unit. Everyone else has been calling for an upgrade to he Oline for the last 4 to 5 years. The last decent oline we had was 06 when Thomas Jones and Benson had a good year. Emery takes over and the only big thing that has been done was the Marshal trade. Two things that we know- Williams and Carmi are coming back. This will help the oline unit as a hole. We dont know if Williams is being put back at LT as stated in another thread. My major concern is the LT spot. Webb in my eyes is not good enough to be a starter and should only be a backup in c…

  10. below are some statistics i compiled for the old board about 8 years ago and i have updated the information to date, pre-draft 2012. it lists all players drafted in slots 1-20 in the first round and how they compare to obtaining a quality player drafting in these slots. feel free if you wish to copy this information for your own records but please acknowledge where you got them from as it was an incredible amount of work putting this together. thanks, Lucky Luciano my conclusions after looking at the statistics below i know i am not so sure i wouldn't consider trading up EVERY year into the top 10 if you want the odds on your side with selecting a qual…

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,6270139.story So, I'm thinking: Floyd Mercilus Coples Then who? Probably at least one DT (Brockers probably). Other DEs probably, but would it be: Ingram? McClellin? OT? I wonder if guys like DeCastro or Kuechly might be on their board (I would assume not, since they are unlikely to be available). Maybe Kirkpatrick? Guess we'll find out in a couple days . . .

Beyond popular belief the rest of the FAgency will be valve choices. We had the one big one, so now we find people at our price. We made offers to Peanut and Melton but they think can get more money out there, so they are letting it play out. Now there could be a Cleamons(S) or an Allen(DE) still there but they will be at our price. It is not fun when we(fans) dont get a bunch of players to goggle over, but they addressed the biggest need, and will wait to let the rest fall in place. Slauson, D.J., Anderson last year didnt excite us, but they filled needs and now Slauson is a staple on the OLine. D.J. is coming back to give us time to find a MLB, or maybe Bostic grow…

I think I've mentioned this in the past too. The NFL has really screwed up. Making this a prime time event may draw them extra cash but I seriously doubt it's made their fans happier. What do you guys think? I used to have a Saturday party with multiple buddies coming over, shrimp on the BBQ, ribs, beer... It was an all day affair! A real tradition to kick off the start of spring. Now the first round is being held on the ferkin' Thursday night! Idiots. Some things are best left alone.

Just a joke (mostly), but in truth an all Florida State draft would address a lot of holes on this team and isn't too unrealistic, I don't think: *Trade down in first and 5th for extra 3 & 4 1) Timmy Jernigan, DT 2) Terrence Brooks, S 3) Lamarcus Joyner, CB 3) Christian Jones, LB 4) Devonte Freeman, RB 4) Telvin Smith, LB 6) Bryan Stork, C/G 6) Kenny Shaw, WR Any other "one college" drafts that would work?

Alright so I'm kinda getting ahead of myself here, but I find looking at the 2015 season very intriguing.....Look at who we already have locked up... QB-Cutler/Fales RB-Forte/Carey WR-Marshall/Jeffery/Wilson TE-Bennett/(Onubun) LT-Bushrod LG-Slauson C- ? RG-Long RT-Mills DE-Allen/Houston/Young DT-Ratliff/Ego/Sutton LB-Bostic/SMC/Greene/(Jones) CB-Jennings/Fuller/Frey SS- Mundy FS- Vereen They have all of that AND about 30M in cap space. Hypothetically speaking if Bostic takes a step forward, SMC proves to be a solid LB, Greene shows the talent I saw in him in college, Vereen takes the starting FS job and runs with it, and …

With Dallas losing Sean Lee for the season I'm wondering if anyone would consider trading Briggs to Dallas? There are no rumors so this is purely my fantasy league. We are dealing with Jerry Jones who is known for his desperation moves and Briggs is a natural fit into Dallas' defense. Right now there is no way I'd do it solely because I think we can compete at a high level in the playoffs and there is too much risk in all the young players. However, if SMC and Bostic are looking good (I'll assume DJ Williams is "good") and the coaches think guys like Greene and Christian Jones will be decent backups then I'm open to it. We can't know that now, or rather the coa…
