Since the Bears moved up and invested everything for the Trubisky pick, that signals to me a few things: 1. Pace is staking his job on this pick. 2. Trubisky will be given every possible chance to win the job. 3. Trubisky absolutely will be starting next year, regardless of how well Glennon does. 4. The Bears are embracing the new era approach to the passing game. With all of that said, I don't care who is there with the second pick. If Cam Robinson is available, that's a slam dunk. PFF came out with there projects of OLines and have us ranked 5th. PFF is just one of many ways to look at NFL players but if we just do the eye test, we have a top10 Oline. I watched the run and the replay, and I have to say I'm surprised some of you are so upset about the run. Was it out of bounds? Hard to tell for sure, and even the replay leaves a small amount of doubt (I personally thought he was in). Having said that, it should have come back anyway. Bellamy clearly held on the play. His initial block and subsequent drive were good, but his left arm definitely hooked the defender and restricted him. That should have been a foul. He’s tried to learn the offense as quickly as he can. He gives us some versatility as well because he can line up as a fullback for us as well as an inline blocker. He just has that mass. I have seen some ask this, though I am not sure if it has been talked about on this board. One reason I think it may be worth consideration is, if we put Basanez on the PS, which I am pretty sure he is still eligible for, would any other team really steal him? To steal him, another team would have to give him a spot on their 53 man roster, and I am just not sure anyone would be willing to do that. With the latest issue with LJ and the Chiefs it is highly possible that he could be avaiable and a change of senery could do him well. I think LJ and Forte would make a nice rotation. Would you trade Harris for LJ?.
