I remember when he first went out they said he had a strained thumb and then recently I heard someone say ligament damage. When is this guy going to be playing again? I don't see us being able to develop any of the talent with Barkley at QB. Peace

Smith FS Fres (110) With such an early pick in the round, I don't see Pace deviating from his current draft mentality. With that, a few of these guys should be available with the 7th pick in the round. If they are not sold on Petty or Hundley, I would go Smith/Shaw/Ekpre and pray for Ryan in the 5th. So it would either be CB-LB-S or S-LB-Other in the last 3 rounds.

The Bears are working to set up a visit with free agent WR Bryant Johnson. It'd be Johnson's first visit. He could be in Chicago by early next week. It's no surprise that the overrated wideout isn't being highly sought after.

There is a possibility we are gonna make a run for Turner? I didnt think so at first but now watching them sit idle I could see them trying. We know they want to bring in a RB for competition Benson.

So the guys at Walterfootball.com have done a 5-round mock draft for all 32 teams. Here's who they have Chicago picking: 1. Mike Pouncey, OG, Florida This would be a stellar pick, in my opinion. Get a genuine stud at left guard, move Chris Williams back to left tackle, and let Omiyale and Webb compete for right tackle. Three birds with one stone. 2. Marvin Austin, DT, UNC Drake Nevis is off the board at this point in their mock, making Austin the best remaining under-tackle prospect. The gift that keeps on giving. I thought a 2nd rounder was steep for a WR3, but at the time, not knowing they would be able to get Moore, I understood it. However, now after a good chunk of the season, an entire offseason, and now he lands on the PUP for the start of the real offseason training camp. Not a good trend. With the addition of guys like Moore, Tonyan, and even Scott, and possibly some increased PT for Velus, Claypool is going to be the odd man out. Only so many targets to go around. It seems like the pecking order is Moore, Mooney, Kmet, Tonyan, RB1, Scott, then Velus or Claypool. By the time you get to the 5th player, that is about 5 targets a game.

It's great to see Briggs back, even though I was prepared to see him leave. So, what's next JA? The papers say your working on our own players to extend contracts, but shouldn't you be looking at adding an outside piece here or there? Or, are you trying to extend our own (Harris, Url, Hester, Anderson) to gauge what there mindsets for $$ is so you know where our cap space will be for the next couple of years. Those guys are players we want for sure to be around long term and if we can get them extended now, the better. If extensions cannot be worked out, at least we know what were up against next time at the contract table. Hopefully in the next week or two…

Just a thought here but with all the upbeat chat about Rideau and Aromashodu playing so well it's obvious Rashied Davis has not stood out in camp. Reality is that QBs decide where they are throwing the ball. Of course if the OC doesn't like the reads the QB is taking some risks but right now Cutler isn't worried about his job security. I'm just wondering if Cutler sees the athletic ability and potential of a guy like DA and is he just giving him as many chances as possible to make him successful at the expense of Rashied Davis?
