LOVE THAT SHIT

WF just did their post combine mock and gave us... 1R-Shelton 2R-PJ Williams CB 3R- AJ Cann OG 4R- Shane Carden QB Meh... I'd switch it up and go 1R- Beasley OLB- obvious 2R- Shaq ILB- According to WF, teams are putting a 2R grade on him. 3R- Grasu OC- obvious 4R- Ty Montgomery WR- Potential pro bowl returner, with some upside as a WR. Could be a steal. That all coupled with Knighton (Though I bet he follows Del Rio to Oak), Chris Culliver, Rahim Moore, and Jeremy Parnell(OT), and I think we'll be looking at a quick turnaround.

http://img.ibtimes.com/www/articles/201109...-for-season.htm Very shady with his new rediculous deal. Sucks to see a guy hurt, but be nice to see the Colts suck

Seriously, could someone on this board be a better GM than Angelo when it comes purely to talent evaluation and drafting? With regards to the salary cap, let's just pretend that someone else is handling it on the team (even though I think LT2 could do a better job than anyone on the Bears). In regards to the draft only, do you think that someone from the board would have done a better job than Angelo since he's been with the Bears?

I feel pretty confident stating that today is plretty much playing out what the vast majority of us expected to happen. And it's pretty muc Turner as scapegoat, and lame duck Lovie for at least 1 more year...2 if the planets align. In the meantime, we give Jay 4 OC's in probably 5 years. 3 line coaches for Williams...etc. This just delays the inevitable. It's the hallmark of a family run business. I'm not sure Smith is kept on so much for the loot, but I think becasue old Virgiania just likes Smith as a person. Too bad she is not a football person and can't see he is not a good HC. Well, given what we're expecting to hear at the conference today, my …

Packers: Favre has "itch" to play GREEN BAY — Brett Favre has the itch to play football again, but the Green Bay Packers apparently prefer for the legendary quarterback to scratch it elsewhere. An NFL source told the State Journal on Wednesday afternoon that Favre — or agent James "Bus" Cook on his behalf — contacted the Packers "within the past few weeks" about returning, and the conversation ended in him asking the club for his release. The Packers refused. Favre has communicated his potential desire to coach Mike McCarthy, but talks have not advanced to a substantive stage, a Packers source told Mortensen. The league source, who spoke to the State Jou…

He got a 3 year 12 mil contract with 3.5 mil guaranteed. That is basically a one year deal. Not let me see, Freeman at the same money or Shea? Man did we win that one.

http://www.suntimes.com/sports/4422823-419...k-in-kenya.html Jay Cutler quietly goes about charitable work in Kenya By Sean Jensen sjensen@suntimes.com Mar 21, 2011 01:50PM Bears quarterback Jay Cutler has opted to fly under the NFL radar in the days, weeks and months since he left the NFC title game with a knee injury. But now Cutler’s not even on the continent. Cutler accompanied his girlfriend, Kristin Cavallari, on a trip to Kenya with the non-profit One Kid One World, which focuses on rebuilding schools and providing supplies to students and teachers in Kenya and El Salvador. On March 8, Cavallari posted on her Twitter account that s…

I thought this would be interesting to see where people think he is going based on the different situations. Do you think he should do a for-tv special like Lebron an donate proceeds?

Great write-up by the same guy who did the offensive lineman grades earlier in the year. http://www.chicitysports.com/2013/12/30/th...mock-offseason/

Has anybody heard when they will be releasing the full NFL schedule for the upcoming season?

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/183949-...from-mediocrity Article I wrote on the transition from Orton to Cutler. Thoughts?

I've seen mention of Taylor getting more carries than Forte, but I just don't see how that can be. Taylor last year with a great OL got the same YPC as Forte got behind the paper mache OL. Actually, this is why I'm not all that impressed with the signing...aside from it being a minimal concern in regards to other needs. On a semi-related note, does everyone think the prevailing theory that every team needs TWO top-line RBs is a load of crap? I believe a 30 carry RB is still feasible, and signing two starter-quality RBs is somewhat wasteful considering the team's performance and record last year which indicated glaring needs for multiple other positions.

Sounds like he will be released in St. Louis. I think he'd be a real nice signing for our back-up QB spot (with Hanie as our 3rd stringer). Basically if Cutler went down and we were in contention, you go to Bulger, if Cutler went down and we are out of contention, you go to Hanie.

Cowboys | Safety Roy Williams released Thu, 05 Mar 2009 07:43:24 -0800 Todd Archer, of The Dallas Morning News, reports the Dallas Cowboys have released S Roy L. Williams after not being able to trade him. Williams confirmed his release Thursday, March 5. His release will save the team about $2 million against the salary cap. Is he worth a look? I haven't seen many Cowgirl games lately so not sure if he can still tackle since he can't horsecollar people anymore...

from the trib Hester story Defensive tackle Dusty Dvoracek (bruised hand) didn't practice and Harris (knee) was limited Friday. Anthony Adams and Israel Idonije received the first-team reps as the interior linemen. Linebacker Jamar Williams is nursing a tender ankle. … Kyle Orton started the day running the first-team offense, although Rex Grossman got a lot of work too. Man I getting tired of DD and JW on the sidelines, If harrison pans out I see DD going bye bye,

Official Bears Draft board... RD 3, 11 (75) - S Major Wright, Florida RD 4, 11 (109) - DE Corey Wootton, Northwestern RD 5, 10 (141) - CB Joshua Moore, Kansas State RD 6, 12 (181) - QB Dan LeFevour, Central Michigan RD 7, 11 (218) - OT J'Marcus Webb, West Texas A&M

Good to see Roberto back in time to play against his former team. Although DLP has done well. But what I'm really intrigued by is the possible starting of Christian Jones. I look forward to seeing how he does in a full game. He looked a little raw last week in spot work but something tells me he could be another gem in the making. http://www.chicagobears.com/news/article-1...b4-2bc193050e61

The Bears tagged Jaylon Johnson - no surprise, and likely contract negotiations will follow.
