Not a ton of news...Theres a good chance we draft a QB at some point. There are already teams wanting to trade up with us supposedly. They're still looking at Izzy and others to sign to the roster. They supposedly like Garza at OC. He was disappointed with the arrest of ERod.

Honestly, f*** this guy. Just now on ESPN's MNF pregame show, they showed the Bears highlights. Millen went on to say the OL is improved and the D is great led by Urlacher. Young followed by saying the Bears are Super Bowl material but Cutler can't make boneheaded throws like HE DID YESTERDAY. He said the stats looked good but made too many risky throws still. Is Steve Young f***ing lost? Go f*** yourself, Steve. He made 1 bad throw all game and that was on the 3rd down with about 4 minutes left. ONE bad throw, stupid f***. Seriously, what the hell is he saying? I could give 2 f***s about giving credit to the Bears. People have their reasons for hating this tea…

This would be a difficult pill to swallow. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown...00408--nfl.html I agree with the quote in the article. This guys gets paid millions to be available on 16 days a year. If he is out one of those games because of something non-football related, I think he should be fined a game check. I know it sounds harsh, but he's being paid to play the game. He's not being paid to play it unless, ya know, he's got other stuff going on.

I know there are varying opinions on whether the Bears should spend the #3 pick on a QB. I also know there are a ton of mocks that have the QBs going all over the place. Often I've seen a "top 3" QB drop into the second round. Assuming the Bears pass on QB in the 1st, and one of the top 3 QBs slide, is it a guarantee that the Bears pick said QB if he fell to them? If somehow Trubisky (highly unlikely), Watson (unlikely), or Kizer (fairly unlikely) fell to the Bears in the 2nd round, I think it's a 100% guarantee that the Bears would have to draft said QB. Agree?

The Bears win 10 games. The Bears lose in the NFC title game in Lambeau. McClellin has 8 sacks. Peppers had 13 sacks, combined with a few FF's, FR's, and an INT or two and wins DPOY. Cutler has 30+ TD's and less than 15 INT's and plays all 16 games. He only will get sacked 28 times. Conte has 7 INT's. Evan Rodriguez is a starter by week 17. Marshall leads Bears' WR's in catches and yards. Bennett is second in both categories. Jeffery leads all WR's on the Bears in TD's. Urlacher doesn't play until week 7 (week after the bye).

Not sure why Cutler deserves all these excuses people keep making. "It's those darned receivers." "He was being rushed." Well... weren't these the same problems there last year? In fact, this year's receivers are better overall than last year's (Booker, Lloyd). Why was no one ready to make these excuses for Orton? Granted, Cutler's arm is better. But who needs a rocket arm if you're throwing it to the other team. If we wanted a one-trick pony who can throw the long ball and is interception prone, seems like keeping Rex Grossman would've been more economical. Cutler better turn it around soon.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_...?urn=nfl,193266 I think it is a little too early for a comparison like this. Especially considering that Forte's rookie year was better than any year by either of the two. I also believe that he is playing injured, our O-Line has been bad in support of the run, teams have stacked the box, and we've played 2x 3-4 defenses.

  8. For the longest time (unfortunately) I've been complaining up a storm over this regime. Realistically, I don't see any reason to stop complaining until actual results happen. However, I'm going to relent a tad and take a swig from Pix's kool-aid jug. Of course, I'm putting a dram of Scotch in it to keep me honest...but I digress. As a kid, I remember a comic book called. "What If?". Its premise was to play out the universe as if something else happened. For instance, an example could be "What if the Fanastic Four had different powers?" The comic would then go about showing how the "universe" would change, etc due to that premise. I recall it being interesting,…

To get myself to chill with all this 12-4 talk, I took a look at the Bears performance on defense. We're on a pace to give up 408 points. We gave up 277 last year. In fact, only 8 teams last year gave up that many points and guess what... Not one of them was a playoff team. You can sugarcoat this any way you like but if this trend continues, the Bears aren't going anywhere this year. I don't care how good Cutler and Forte turn out to be. The D needs to improve and they can start by getting a little pressure on the opposing QB.

The more I look at this draft, and working under the assumption at the moment that the Bears don't move Olsen for a 2nd, I feel like the best value pick when the Bears pick might very well be at CB. Guard is a need, but they tend to fall anyway, so unless you fall in love with someone like Jon Asomoah (and he's available there), you might be able to wait a round or two and get Mike Johnson or Brandon Carter or someone like that. The best pure free safeties (Morgan Burnett, Nate Allen) will probably be gone, so I'd rather not reach for Major Wright when you can probably wait and get Robert Johnson or Kendrick Lewis or Darrell Stuckey. But the CB crop is loaded this ye…

Cutler may have had opening night gitters but I think he the coaching staff failed to prepare him for the 3/4 defense. He looked bewildered. Lovie's two challenges were ridiculous. The fake punt was a player mistake but this is a vet of what, 15 years? They put that quick snap in there but apparently they never coached him on when not to use it. The Packers 12 man was on the sideline for a few seconds before that snap. Halftime adjustments were just fine. With Urlacher out I expected to lose by 21. We were winning until a minute left. But why in the world aren't we READY for the team we play in game one this year? We were ready for the Colts last sea…

Unfortunately on offense we are starting from scratch. One could say we are rebuilding on offense with alot more question marks now then last season. I love our picks and the deleting the garbage from least year. But whos at left guard, is still wide open ( metcalf......please! ) Reed and Tyler are in the mix hopefully one of them will out outright take the job by good play and not by who least sux. RB seems there might be a light at this tunnel but again lets make that light brighter by bringing in kevin Jones who has something to prove. While I like Peterson and Wolfe I still want somebody who can take it to the house on all 3 downs. This keeps defenses hon…

After the game, I heard Rex say about how the offense was put into a hole with such bad field position consistently. Well, according to Larry Meyer, that is no excuse.. Thoughts?
