In no order of importance what do you all think our draft needs are for the upcoming season. Safety (both) CB Slot receiver Center LB's (all) #1 receiver return man special teams help Tackle Running back DT DE Punter Did I miss anything? (in my terra voice) F my life!

I say, OL(1st round if there is a 1st rd LT out there, move Tait back to RT), Safety(high only if there is a mike brown type leader out there) Linebackers(Middle/Strong even if we resign briggs. I am concerned Urlacher will never be Urlacher again. ), DT/RB take your pick.

So looking at the draft do we draft for needs or for BPA? Looking at our roster below we have a few needs. I say we need DT,LB CB,,FS and a SS. We still have roster cuts and FA...but we cant get them all in the draft.. Not sure if it's because I'm interested in the way Pace runs his first draft or if it's because the Bears needs are so plentiful but this draft is the one I've been most anxious for in a long time. Probably also has to do with us having such an early pick and the bad damn taste last season left in my mouth. But whatever it is... I CAN'T WAIT!

We addressed our line here and in FA , I think we will be much better for it. Trestman must have liked Fales a lot or I dont think drafing a QB was on Emerys radar. I think we almost did as good with UDFA as what we did in the draft. Jones and Lynch willl make the final roster and Groy will make the practice squad. I think we got two really good DTs in the second and third round. They replace Ratliff and Paea in the future years. Rotational guys as of now. Fuller is going to be a star. Leno makes the roster . As the season closes, the Bears will be looking at these names and others to add to the 2018 roster. I targeted what should be the the focal point of OLB, OT, and WR at the 7,8, or 9 slot. They may surprise us with a CB, S, G or another position, feel free to throw more names. Is there a player that we cannot pass if a trade down offer arises? The Bears need to hit a homerun once again with 3 to 4 additions. Do they trade down for quantity or take the quality.

I think I've mentioned this in the past too. The NFL has really screwed up. Making this a prime time event may draw them extra cash but I seriously doubt it's made their fans happier. What do you guys think? I used to have a Saturday party with multiple buddies coming over, shrimp on the BBQ, ribs, beer... It was an all day affair! A real tradition to kick off the start of spring. The more and more mocks I do, the more I believe the value in the draft is in the second and third rounds. I think the talent really falls after the 3rd round overall. There may be some winners here and there, but the 2nd round will be loaded, and the 3rd will still be pretty nice. Would you be willing to wheel and deal a ton to get multiple second and/or third rounders but end up with less picks in total? Looks like the Bears could be one of the first teams to sign their draft picks again It's official, #Bears ink draft picks, LB JT Thomas and QB Nathan Enderle to four-year deals.

Wanted to start a thread for updates on our draft pick signings. In past years we were quick to get all our picks signed. So far it seems we only have two of the 5 under contract. RB Tarik Cohen, and OL Jordan Morgan. That leaves Trubisky, Shaheen, and Jackson unsigned yet. Still time before camp and hoping these guys get signed soon. They've been at the offseason programs thus far so I'm not to concerned about them being under contract by training camp.

Finances, free agency, everything else? Probably not. But definitely drafting.

Unless the absolute second-coming of Walter Payton is available when the Bears draft at 3.26, they should trade the pick. Or some similar combination.

With today's win, the Bears cannot draft higher than the 9th pick. Now the scary part is there are a ton of teams at 7-8. That means if the Bears beat NO next week, there is a chance they could plummet in the draft. Looking at Strength of Schedule which is the 2nd factor in draft position, the Bears could slide all the way to 17. Now realistically, some of the 7-8 teams will win, so the Bears will probably do no worse than 14 with a win next week. With a loss, the Bears will be guaranteed something in the range of 9-12. I thought he would have been a real good fit for the Bears in the later part of round 3 as someone who can compete at RT/RG. Sadly, he has died. RIP and condolences to his family. Hopefully he died of some sort of natural cause, because you never want to see a guy ruin his name by dying from drugs and/or alcohol.
