They just aired Lovie's press conference, or at least part of it, on the Score. First thing to note was the tone. Lovie sounded very defensive. Okay, to hell w/ the draft. Instead, how about we: Send Denver our 1st & 3rd, and future 1st/2nd conditional pick for Cutler. Send our 2nd to Az for Boldin. After the draft, send Atlanta our 2010 2nd round pick for Tyson Clabo, a damn good RT w/ size (6'6 330), youth (27 years old) and experience (I think he has started every game the last two years). Sure, we are giving up a boat load of picks, yet at the same time, we get a franchise QB, a franchise WR and a damn good RT (which allows us to move Omiyale back to OG). I'm anxiously awaiting the preseason games to see how our WR situation will settle out. What seems clear is that Hass is again catching everything thrown at him. In some of the highlight videos I see him out there against the #1 defense catching passes all over the field including deep against Vasher. What we appear to know so far is that Hester isn't going anywhere, neither is Bennett or Davis. It seems Lloyd has played well and seems headed for a roster spot although his big question mark has been toughness and that can only be seen in some of these preseason games. With the developing rift between Jeff Fisher and Vince Young heating up in Tennessee, things are starting to look like they both can't return next year. if that's true, given the guarantee'd $ that Young is due, and recent statements from the owner of the Titans supporting Vince Young, you gotta wonder if Jeff Fisher will be looking for a new home. How will this roster shake out once regular season starts? We know what we have in Matt Forte. I expect him to perform as usual and possibly beyond being a contract year. Do the Bears extend him going forward? Do they use his money to extend another player on a contract year like Mason Foster or Shea McClellin if one of those two becomes the leader in the middle? Many questions arise with the RB because behind Matt is completely unknown. Jeremy Langford is a given to survive this season as a Bear, being this regimes draft pick. He has a similiar skill set to Forte, but an extra gear of speed. The problem is, can he bring that into the NFL? I expect some growing p…
