Ego Ferguson DT LSU will play 2 technique for the Bears. Haven't heard that term used much, but that is lining up in the middle of the G. New defense, different alignments I suppose.

So the jets traded for Darnold. Is Bridgewater too expensive to keep now?. And does that put eight into play? If one of the top five is available at eight should the Bears offer Foles and picks for the pick? Foles would be a good backup for Darnold who should be given the starting job. Unless they are doing a total QB reset and see Darnold as a backup. High price to pay though.

I have a mock draft that I think would be great for the Bears: 1) Chris Williams OT/Vanderbilt We have to get an OL in the first. If Clady and Williams are gone you trade down and take Otah/Cherilus 2) Earl Doucet WR/LSU or Mario Manningham WR/Michigan I think we go with either of these guys in the second. WR is a need for this team. Manningham showed how fast he really is at his pro day. He's fast and that was a speedy exit. Nagy says there was too much competition.
