Since we get to look at the draft now here is what I would have did. Round 1: I would have traded down with Atlanta getting an extra 3rd. Emery said we had the chance but trade value wasnt there.Since I still think we needed to go OL. Kyle Long/OG Round 2: I would go with the best rated LB instead of Bostic Arthur Brown/LB Round 3: We got this pick from Atlanta, would fit in as our NB right away and also is a good KR,PR giving us the option to cut Hester. B.W. Webb/CB Round 4: Green was a good value here and would stay with that. K. Green/LB Round 5: Go with another need here. J…

/www.first-pick.com/NFL/DraftGame.aspx Since we pretty well have done all of our damage in FAgency, lets fill the roster. In this draft site, you can trade. For sake of being realistic, lets use only up to 2 trades. I started out trying to fill BPA scenario and this is what I ended up with. I traded back with ARI for the 15th, round 2 and 3 picks I then traded back to 18 with SEA for a coupld extra picks in the 4th and 5th. My first 3 picks were BPA IMO, after that I tried to fill with needs also. I figure we have 4 starters out of this draft. I think Fitz takes Princes job I think Carter starts early I think Crosby replaces Massie I think Que…

Fit speed is Brandon Marshalls training facility...We all know Jeffery was going to be training with Marshall but I just wanted to point out that E-Rod and Armando Allen are also training there as well. (Didn't really know where to put this so why not a new thread?) It was noted that Marshall went from a 4.7 to a 4.4 40 in 8 weeks while training at Fit Speed. A boost in speed to all of those guys would be fantastic.

After the week that has been, ... the score the Bears have (and with the win I might add) is 34. Madlith: What do you think about that as a tribute? I say well done Bears.

  6. I keep trying to figure out what kind of strategy we are likely to see with this upcoming draft from the Bears, but I'm stuck because I have no idea how the new coaches and Poles see some of the current players. In my mind, I think it's mostly their evaluation of these five players that will be most crucial: -Kiran Amegadjie - He was obviously drafted to be the future LT. He was rushed into service last year when they had no intention of getting him in a game last year, even before he was hurt in the preseason and missed valuable experience, and as a result had some very bad reps but also had plenty of good ones. He probably has some flexibility as a swing tackle …

How well the Bears answer five key questions will determine how many games they win in 2008: 1.Can they create turnovers the way Lovie Smith teams typically do? Defensive coordinator Bob Babich calls it the " AT&T'' approach -- attack, tackle and takeaway. But lately the Bears cannot find a good connection with the way they like to play defense. Their defense created only 13 of their 33 takeaways in the first half of last season and by then it was too late to recover. Overall, that was 11 fewer takeaways than 2007. Smith's teams need turnovers to win; he is 21-5 when winning the turnover battle since taking over in 2004. When the Bears have fewer takeaw…

I'm going to get straight to it. This team lacks discipline. It is a direct sign that the head coach needs to simplify things 1) The Chicago Bears lead the league in penalties and yards of penalties. Smart teams that know they need every break they can get buckle down on these mental lapses. It shows that it's not being drilled in. 2) Can not run the football. The easiest thing to do in all of sports is running the football. You line up against the other team and impose your will as a unit. Our OL continues to blow assignments, lack effort and generally suck. Running the football is about effort and desire. Sometimes yes, mostly no. All about discipli…

OK, I need to flip the switch a bit and need to vent some positivity. There's a reason we are all Bears fans. Also, there are a lot of things many of us would like to see happen to the current team. I encourage anyone interested to join me in this therapeutic exercise... I'm going to give the five reasons I'm a Bears fan (in no particular order) and give five things that I think the team must do to improve this or next season (that are within the realm of possibility.) Five Reasons I'm a Bears fan: 1. Blood. My family is simply from Chicago. Marquette Park to be exact. 2. The history. There's just too much. From virtually starting professional f…

The media has said it, we have said it and other players have said it and so on... The Bears OL is not what it used to be. My flat out opinion is this. Fix the OL 1st and the rest will follow. I believe the Sinclair move to OG is a start, as he is more athletic than Metcalf and Beekman is obviously useless. I don't want hear the rookie blah blah either. OG is the easiest offensive position to learn and play. For off season plans, I would start with telling Tait to tailor his workouts and film study for the right side. IMO - it was a great move placing him at LT when they did, but on the other hand a bonehead move leaving him there for three years with noone el…

Here is a good article on fixing that weakness. https://sportsmockery.com/2018/05/five-ways-chicago-can-fix-their-edge-rusher-problem/ I do not think we are in as bad as shape as it may look. We finished 7th in the league last year with Floyd hurt most of the year. McPhee beat up, Young on the DL. We have more production coming from Floyd this year.10-12 ? Aaron Lynch will make some kind of contribution 4-6? Kwiat is going to backup outside and I see him contributing 3-4. R. Smith will be figured in the pass rushing aspect 3-4. Patrick Willis first year with Fangio stats. 174 tks and 4 sacks, he had a high of 6 sacks in his third ye…

Since we now have another body to add to the mix. I think we should still resign St Clair and still draft a OT in the first round. We need as many bodies as possibe since we arent even sure Williams can play yet. So could this be our ofensive line? Williams, St. Clair, Keuntz, Buening, Oher with Omiyale, Beekman, and Garza backing them up. We cut Metcalfs ass.

http://blogs.nfl.com/2010/03/18/watson-los...-and-quickness/ Dekoda watson----------------- While players’ weight may fluctuate from the NFL Scouting Combine to their pro day, it is rare that it changes significantly. Florida State’s Dekoda Watson, however, defies the norm. He checked in at 240 pounds at the combine, but dropped all the way to 226 pounds Florida State’s pro day. The weight loss resulted in a much faster time in the 40-yard dash. He ran the 40 in 4.46 and 4.40 seconds at the pro day, after posting a mark of 4.56 seconds at the combine. He also flashed impressive quickness, completing the three-cone drill in 6.84 seconds. Wow, are u kidd…

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/...for-jay-cutler/ Let’s hear it for Jay Cutler Posted by Mike Florio on January 14, 2011, 5:04 PM EST Rick Reilly has done the impossible. No, he hasn’t written a new version of Leatherheads that doesn’t, you know, completely suck. Reilly has made Bears quarterback Jay Cutler into a sympathetic — and thus likable — figure. Cutler had given us not much to feel good about in five NFL seasons. Apart from playing much of the 2007 season with undiagnosed Type I diabetes (we’d hate to see how long it would have taken to catch the disease if he didn’t work for a company that has a team of doctors available at any gi…
