If the Bears are going to take a OL in the 1st I was wondering what type of Lineman do the people on this board want to get. Take in mind im figuring Ryan Clady and Long are gone before we pick. So the next highest rated prospects are: Chris Williams great foot work and technique excellent pass blocker can handle speed rushers very agile and athletic. or Jeff Otah monster of a man who is extremely strong and powerful knock you out your socks kinda a guy but raw with alot of upside. Basically are we going to be a pass crazy team or a "start running off the bus" type of team.

The Bears seem to be looking at or vistiting or working out just about every 2nd/3rd round RB there is: Jamaal Charles, Kevin Smith, Felix Jones, Matt Forte. But I haven't heard anything about them looking at either Ray Rice (though the Bears went to Rutgers pro day, all sources I have seen said they were looking at Jeremy Zuttah) or Chris Johnson. Are we really not interested in them, or is this more smokescreen fun? I'm thinkint particularly of 2001, when every report leading up the draft said the Bears were focusing on Lamont Jordan in the 2nd, then he's there for them to take, and they select A-Train.

As it stands we are the third pick. Philly has two first rounders. Jefferey is healthy now. Are the bears willing to pay 14+ million/year for a receiver that has history of injuries. These are all decent reasons to consider it.

What would you be willing to give up for Kirk Cousins? Would you give up our first round pick and Jeffery? How about our first round pick this year and next year? Peace

At work today, I couldn't help but to sit back and think about the Bears future. Here's the way I see it. While our defense is aging, we do have some young, starting, good players: Briggs is 27. A. Brown is 29. Dvoracek is 25. Harris is 25. Idonije is 27. Vasher is 26. Tillman is 27. Payne is 24. Harrison is 24. Graham is 23. Our defensive back-ups have looked good for what they've done, too. I didn't record the game, and I surely wasn't there, but I was wondering why the Bears couldn't throw the same way as the Patriots yesterday. What I mean is, I know Cutler is not Brady, but why wouldn't the 7-15 yard pass patterns be just as effective for the Bears as they were for the Patriots? Would not the Pats' defensive players slip just as the Bears' did? Don't they have to react just as much as the Bears' defense did? Leading up to the game I heard two coaching strategies: 1) Bill Cowher said teams should blitz. 2) Multiple people said the short passing game had an advantage in the snow because reacting to a route is harder than executing a route. …

With FA's galore on the Bears, who do your resign? I mean can you let Acho or MAcMannis go? Or Jeffery, who would you keep?

Okay, so here is the question. Which is worse. Which is the lesser of evils. Wasted salary cap space or overpaying for FAs. Normally, I am not a big fan of overpaying for FAs, but I view this year as being different. In the past, we had plenty of our own to re-sign. That isn't the case today. In the past, we didn't seem to have nearly as much cap to work w/. This year we had anywhere from $30-34m, depending on what numbers you use. In the past, if you didn't love what you saw, you could use LTBEs and whatever other fun tricks the accountants use to eat cap today in order to epand it tomorrow, when pickings may be better. That both linemen that the bears have chosen come from very fast pace offensive teams. In face they come from two of the top five scoring teams. So is this a sign that the bears are picking athletes that can keep up with that fast pace?
