I've read differing accounts about what Ted Phillips role will be. What is the latest and has anything concrete come out of Halas Hall?

Not that he's probably in consideration but seeing Jim Mora (the younger one - currently UCLA HC) mentioned as a HC possibility for other teams. In keeping with the thought of second (or in his case third) chances, similar to Belichick or Carroll he could make a case for a decent comeback. Would he be someone the Bears should consider? He has clout, experience and a little edge. Although my #1 choice continues to be Shannahan. Then maybe Kubiak.

Im only going to discuss positions of need, not all the guys that are or will be draft eleigible in 2015. Cam Erving: started the year LT, but switched to Center to help the team as that position was an issue. Running game, line protection and offensive efficiency improved. Show how versatile he is and can multiple positions. Keep an eye in him. He came to FSU as Dt and coaches told him his future is at OL, he trusted the coaches, so he's definitely a team player. Redshirt senior, so he's definitely mature and physically ready. Would be a great replacement for Roberto at Center PJ Williams: Guy can cover and play the run as a cb. Who can be cut without detriment to the team? I don't give a damn if it's half the team, to be quite honest. I think Jared Allen is untouchable because of the money, but who else falls into that boat? The only players on defense who I want kept are cheap, good, or financial obligations. But I don't have a real interest in any except Jennings, Peanut, Fuller, Jones, Jennings, Young, and Paea.

I watched the press conference as many others did as well. The comment or line that stuck out the most to me was when someone asked George McCaskey how his mother Virginia has felt during this whole process. George got a bit choked up which was nice to see some emotion and said, "She is in agreement, has been supportive.....She's Pissed Off!" Not sure that still having Ted Philips in any Football Operations position is good thing however, it seems like the family is starting to get it on how we the fan base feels and hopefully it will be the start of a true move in the right direction!
