We've seen enough to know this team is a mid level stinker. The question remains as to what to do to right the ship. Here are some my thoughts. Organization: Starting at the top, Teddy needs to go. As stated in another post, I would shed tears of joy if Bill Polian would accept a 3 year post as team president. He would require total autonomy from the McCaskeys. GM: Emery stays another year, as he is evaluated by a president that knows what he is doing. Besides, he was left in a horrible cap, age and talent situation by JA and Lovie. Coaching: The axe has to fall on someone. It immediately needs to be Joey D. While his unit has improved over the co…

We got a taste of our own medicine tonight. Our offense against a legit D and we show how bad we are. Did Tice even realize what the weather was going to be like? Say what you want about the officiating it sucked in general but I would say sucked for both teams. My hats off to the Bears D as they fought all game kept us in this game... We lost 13-6.... We couldn't manage a single friggin TD. What the hell was this chickencrap offense at the and of the game. D got us the ball back almost 3 min left, 1 timeout plus the 2 min warning and you need a TD. We throw a check down on first down that gains maybe one yard, then throw another short pass and get a holding call…

1 - Anthony Adams is much, much better than Dusty. Next yr, he should be starting. 2 - Manning is playing much better at nickle now that he is the kick returner. Maybe he needed some success on the field to give him confidence on defense. 3 - We need an actual free safety. Brown and Payne are both SS. 4 - Lloyd made a nice catch but also made a crucial drop. He needs to go. We need 2 to 3 new wrs in the rotation next yr. 5 - Robbie Gould is worth every penny he is paid. He set a Bears record yesterday with 3 consecutive 100 point seasons. 6 - Keep throwing the deep ball to Hester. Alot more goog can happen than bad. 7 - Alex Brown loves those back …

The Bears' 53-man roster will include a couple of surprises, as it always does, but this is how it could shape up: Quarterbacks (2): The Bears almost always keep three, but they might go with just Kyle Orton and Rex Grossman and stash promising rookie Caleb Hanie on the practice squad, hoping no other team claims him for their active roster, which is probably a safe bet. Running backs (5 or 6): Matt Forte, Kevin Jones, Adrian Peterson and Garrett Wolfe all appear to be roster locks. Jason McKie might be the only fullback who sticks. Odd men out: RB P.J. Pope and FB Lousaka Polite. Wide receivers (6): Devin Hester and Rashied Davis are the only locks, b…

Crazy to think the opening line has the Bears favored, but they do. My assumption is that will slide to DAL being the favorite as the week goes on and DAL gets hammered with money. At this point, it is probably another loss until something happens with the defense. If they can't get pressure, they can't have Stevenson out there trailing WRs by 5 yards on every play. I don't even know what type of coverage he is playing, but he has been one of the worst players on the defense, and teams just start targeting him on every play. Hopefully the offense decides to get the TEs involved because they combined for only 3 targets against DET. 2 for Kmet and 1 for Loveland. …

Remember the big debate about if the Bears should have gone after him in FA? Well since he has yet to play this season and has a torn labrum, this is another dodged bullett.

Okay, enough discussion. Time to make some firm decisions as the date of the draft is fast approaching. In my eyes, we need to keep everything simple, thus why there are only two options. Please, only FF Keeper league owners vote.

saw this on rotoworld : "The Bears are expected to sign free agent CB Roderick Hood to a one-year contract by as soon as Tuesday. The Browns gave up on Hood surprisingly quickly, but he'll be able to help cornerback-needy Chicago. Hood's been on the Bears' radar since late May. Source: Chicago Tribune "

Seriously that has to be one of Turner's best ideas. It kept philly unbalanced and Kyle was running it pretty effectively. Of course they went away from it later in the game, but I was really impressed with how effective it was. I really think this should be a staple of the offense now.

My biggest problem that I have seen while watching the game so far is that I haven't seen our CB's play near the line of scrimmage yet. Every time I look they are between 6-10 yards off. That is why Fitzgerald is even looking good.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/category/rumor-mill Report: Finnegan “recruiting” Vincent Jackson for possible package deal Posted by Evan Silva on March 8, 2012, 5:38 PM EST Getty ImagesJason Cole of Yahoo! Sports reports that free agent cornerback Cortland Finnegan is actively “recruiting” free agent wideout Vincent Jackson to join Finnegan on his next NFL team. Cole suspects that team is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Finnegan has reportedly been text messaging back and forth with Jackson. The Bucs certainly have the salary cap space to land both players, and Finnegan and Jackson play positions of need in Tampa. Bucs incumbent No. 1 receiver Mike …

I previously saw the report from some guy (I think on CNNSI) talking about Nicks, Britt and Harvin slipping out of the 1st round. Honestly, I didn't think much of it. While it may have been on SI, it was still just the opinion of one guy, which seemed to run counter to what most everyone else thought. Now I am starting to wonder a bit more. I read the other day Rick Gosslin's 1st mock draft. I am not saying Gosslin, or anyone out there is so perfect they know for a fact what will happen, but Gosslin does have a pretty damn good record, though he will have more versions after this one. But in his 1st mock, all three of those WRs failed to be drafted in the 1st …

Buried at the end of this article is a line about how Emery wanted SMC moved to LB back when Smith was still in town. ---------------------------------------------- http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post...s-trade-for-suh But I think what a lot of folks don’t know is that, according to sources, Emery actually wanted that transition to take place a lot sooner, but Smith was reluctant to move McClellin to linebacker. ---------------------------------------------- If true it seems to indicate that SMC was somewhat of a Lovie choice although that does not absolve Emery at all for the pick. He had other options on the board at the time in Chandler Jones …
