I think the McCaskeys need to contact Ted Thompson, Scott Pioli, Bill Polian, or even Bill Parcells to be President and run football operations. Ted Philllips can stay as VP and head of accounting. I would hate to see George McCaskey and Ted Phillips make irrational decisions and put this franchise in a deeper hole. This starts at the top, from allowing the Angelo/Lovie era to leave this team with no youth. To forcing the next head coach to keep Maranneli (who left anyways) or running his defensive scheme. It has been a circus of clowns going back to nearly 1985 with a team that has not prioritized the important keys to being competitive (QB, LOT, DE, CB). When was t…

  5. It only shows that upper management needs changing. Im not sure how the management system is structured. I would hope it goes something like this Players answer to Asst Coaches Asst Coaches answer to Trestman Trestman answers to Emery Emery answers to Phillips and Phillips answers to The McCaskey clan. From years of following the Bears I would not be surprised if there is really no one in charge. How could George McCaskey not walk into Halas Hall so pissed off that he himself takes Tucker into a room and fire him? After 2 of the worst losses in Bears history, how is the response that we need to continue to work hard. That's it, …

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/...-bears-defense/ Ditka sees no talent, no pride on Bears’ defense Posted by Michael David Smith on November 12, 2014, 12:57 PM EST Ditka Getty Images Mike Ditka, the man who coached perhaps the greatest defense in NFL history with the 1985 Bears, does not like the defense he sees in Chicago this year. Ditka told the Chicago Sun-Times that he thinks both the effort and the talent level are lacking on the Bears’ defense after the debacle in Green Bay on Sunday night. “The defense is not good,” Ditka said. “I don’t see a lot of leadership out of certain players. I think they have a problem. Marc [Trestman]…

So I am catching wind of a first quarter boycott... fans not in the stadium for the first quarter, and instead tailgating for the first quarter and not buying concessions or memorabilia.. that would be great but I doubt anything like that taked place cause some people are okay with the way the team is playing... I hope if the boycott isn't done that boo birds are out and very loud... a message needs to be sent to the owners that something better be done!

    1. The Bears defense has allowed as many 50-point games in the past 11 games as it did in the previous 759. 2. Chicago joined the 1923 Rochester Jeffersons as the only teams in NFL history to allow 50 points in back-to-back games. 3. Chicago’s 42-0 halftime deficit was the second biggest in NFL history. 4. Chicago has allowed more points in the first half of games (179) than the Cleveland Browns have allowed all season (172). 5. Overall, the Bears are 31st in the NFL in opposing quarterback’s rating (107.0), ahead of only the Jets (108.8). Only two teams have been worse in that category in the last 10 years. 6. Cutler’s 10 interceptions this seas…

    It looks like the top 3 picks are locked up. Then it gets interesting from 4-13. Based on our current record and SoS, we would draft 8th with the worst position being 13th and best probably 4th. 1. OAK 0-9 2. JAX 1-9 3. TB 1-8 4. NYJ 2-8 (5) 5. TEN 2-7 (9) 6. ATL 3-6 (31) 7. WAS 3-6 (13) 8. CHI 3-6 (12) 9. STL 3-6 (3) 10. NYG 3-6 (2) 11. CAR 3-6-1 (8) 12. HOU 4-5 (22) 13. MIN 4-5 (21) Top Prospects: DT/DE - L. Williams, USC QB - Mariota, ORE; Winston, FSU RB - Gurley, GA WR - Cooper, ALA OT - Peat, STAN; Scherff, IA; Ogbuehi, TXAM DE/OLB - Gregory, NEB; Ray, MIZ, Floyd, GA LB - Thompson, WAS; Beasley, CLEM CB - Williams…

They are already running 15 minutes late. Wonder what is going on? Emery and Trestman don't look like guys that would run late for anything. Is there something significant coming?

  14. Please call or write the Chicago Bears organization and let them know we are too proud of a fan base to put up with this garbage. Chicago Bears, 1920 Football Dr, Lake Forest, IL 60045 (847) 295-6600 Emery & Company, please do not disrespect us by running Mark Trestman out there for another lame duck press conference when you should have been there to fire your head coach and defensive coordinator. Complete waste of time. If I were a Hyundai executive, I would not want my brand associated with this poor excuse of an organization! The Bears product is inferior and management and coaching is even worse. This team clearly has quit on Trestman &amp…

IS by far and away the worst team in the NFL. Complete lack of heart and no will to win

  16. Started by 'TD',

Other than Fuller, there is not starting level talent on this team in 5 years. On Offense, you have Jeffery and Long in 5 years starting. Fire Phillips and Emery. Bring in a HUGE NAME for the front office to rebuild this team. A president with a direction and a GM with a history. Trade/Cut Cutler. I know it will be a massive cap hit, but next year will be bad too. You will have a crapload of capspace the year after. Trestman can stay, only because he is already paid and whoever is coaching the next year or two doesn't matter and we are looking for high draft picks for the new GM to develop. It's a total rebuild. Think Cubs, but NFL.

I've been a bears fan for 29 yrs and this is the FIRST time ever in those years when I have no desire to even watch anymore games... That says a lot... even during the jauron and wandstat (spelling?) I still wanted to watch the games... but this yr I seriously have no enjoyment on Sundays.. if the coaching staff stays after this I will not be watching any games next yr... asskicking like this deserve massive pinkslips... embarrassed to root for this team and that goes from the joke of a qb we have all the way to the conditioning coach!

Jim Miller noted that Cutler has 192 turnovers in 112 games. Here's his quote: "You have no chance to win if your quarterback coughs it up like a Pez dispenser every game." Peace

  19. Started by adam,

We won the 2nd half 14-13. Our defense only allowed 6 which was less than our offense let up (7 on Pick-6). We had a Special Teams TD, and no one got injured on a sack celebration (because we had no sacks). We won the penalty battle 11-5 and had more penalty yards than GB 163-50. Williams had 288 Return Yards on a whopping 10 KO's. Our defensive players did not record a single Pass Defended, INT, Forced Fumble, or Sack. They kept a clean box score with tackles only. We let up 4 more pts than our last game and increased the margin of loss by 13. For our last 3 games, we have a point differential of -82.

  20. Started by adam,

That is what needs to happen this week at a minimum. If there are not changes made this week, we need to seriously boycott. Do not attend anymore home games, leave Soldier Field empty and see how that goes over.
