http://sportsmockery.com/2014/11/report-ja...nearly-benched/ Interesting. Again, if this is the case, it really makes you wonder who okayed the Cutler deal. Did Emery basically tell Trestman this is what we are going to do and you will like it? If any coach would accept that, it would probably be Trestman who is very passive as a whole.

With the play calling the score guys said it looks like Trestman doesn't trust Cutler so his play calling is the short dink and dunk variety. I only saw the first half but in the first half I don't remember the Bears throwing down field at all. Could this be the reason the Bears offense looks soooo out of whack???? Trestman is calling a conservative game plan to limit the INT and turnovers? That could explain the lack luster performance by the offense. IF the players are not happy with the play call there could be problems. Im all for trying to limit the Bears exposure to turn overs but playing it conservative will only hold this offense back.

I havent been on here much during the season, am caught up i FF and Draftkings betting. Instead of going through all these threads to catch up, will just share my thoughts here. The Bears are just bad, all the optimist of last year and the offseason has took a nosedive. They still could make the playoffs if they win out, but odds are that are slim to none. Trestman has lost his team and the great offensive mind is coaching scared. Cutler is just a turnover prone QB with a great arm and questionable decisions. The one bright spot is Matt Forte, enough said there. Were no longer playing downfield, now in to the dink and dunk formation with a 25 million dollar…

First, I don't fall into the category of apologizing for any wins in the NFL. I don't think the Packers are apologizing for beating the Vikings by 3pts and only scoring 24pts. I not saying we beat the Patriots or Broncos either. From a few weeks back I wanted to see progress and I see it. Not everywhere but there is some fight in this team. Offense: Cutler…stayed patient even through several drops, 3 and outs, early on. That's not his MO but he did this earlier in the season and we won against San Fran so he needs to bookmark these two games and remember this is how to play the game and stop trying to be the hero on every play or series. Good things I mentio…

I think it's time. I wore a Butkus jersey yesterday and felt embarrassed that the team on the field was wearing the same uniform. I can't do it. I cannot tarnish the greats and the memory of Papa Bear by supporting this nonsense. This team..I will say it. ...IS NOT THE BEARS. There is nothing Bear-ish about them. They are a disgrace to the uniform. With that said, here's how I (if anyone's morbidly interested in knowing) will be handling my support... 1. I will not attend a Bears game until we have a new HC, GM and QB. No more of my money to line the coffers of the McCaskeys. And note, the HC, GM and QB must not be jokes. They must be legit…

Just looking at the next 8 games...now 3-5 @GB - loss, they have our number 0-1 MIN - win, we should be able to beat Minny at home in Chicago 1-1 TB - win, we should be able to beat TB in Chicago 2-1 @DET - loss, DET on the road especially will be tough 2-2 DAL - loss, Dallas has proven to be a strong team and will run all over us 2-3 NO - loss, NO will probably have their act together. Even though they struggle on the road...we struggle at home. 2-4 DET - loss, I'd love to say we win this and split, but I think DET is a better team than us. At least right now. 2-5 @MIN - win. I think we can have Minny's number. However, we could lose this one and …

Lovie is back in town with Josh at the helm. One team is going to leave with a 2-game winning streak (and worse draft pick). Both teams are 2-5 in their last 7 games, so this is going to be a closer game than most believe. TB is better on the road 2-3 than we are at home 1-3. If we can't beat another bottom feeder, the franchise needs to just fold. Bears 27-17

how the mccaskey family has failed to learn ANYTHING in regards to running an NFL franchise after 35 years, since mugs halas died in 1979, is truly unbelievable. they put the boy genius mikey in charge and he personally drove this franchise into the ground for over 30 years with bad decisions. after 20 years it became so bad and he was taking so much heat from fans and the media that they moved their financier and vice president ted phillips (supposedly) into mikey's spot as president and GM to take the spotlight off their golden boy genius son and demoted him to gardener. off to mowing the grass at halas hall huh mikey? right! meanwhile the 'family' gave us the…

I know bagging on him became popular, but I thought this was a very good read. I also will caveat it by saying I always was a fan of Lovie so I am inherently biased but I felt that he was the time of guy you could be proud your organization had and there is something to be said about that and how he handled the lockeroom, etc. We sorely miss that sort of leadership qualities from the top. I don't think anyone in our front office, Emery or Trestman, have the types of intangible leadership top of the totum pole skills necessary to excel in their current positions. http://chicagosuntimes.com/sports/revered-...bears-listened/

Thought this was a good summary of him. What I liked is how he worked as a UDA to make it. Then worked in personell and got some scouting perspective until moving into the coach ranks. Love the aggressive D and aggressive mind-set and the results have been very encouraging. Big question to me is how does he lead and does he have a big picture vision that is necessary to be a head coach.

On the move: Moving Cutler via designed rollouts was a key factor in last Sunday’s win over the Vikings and something that the quarterback hopes will remain in the game plan. “It was great,” Cutler said. “We’ve got to keep doing it. We’ve got to keep doing it in different ways, showing different looks; get off the spot as much as we possibly can because it helps with everything. It helps the pass rush, get some easy balls out to the flat, out on the outside lets the guys run. It’s got to be something in our offense that we do more of.” For as long as Cutler has been in the league his mobility has always been something those in the "know" have touted as one of hi…

http://espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/story/_/id/...ons-fan-twitter This team really is something else right now.

  13. So we beat the Vikings.... Cutler put up 300+ and 3 TD's. That's all fine and dandy but we all know that he is a GOOD QB(being paid like a GREAT qb). The 2 INT's, totally ruin the victory. Trestmans coaching again left me shaking my head. I thought they should have run more in the first half and the last drive of the 1st half was a horrible display of time management. The Vikings are not a good team, even tho any win in the NFL is earned each sunday. I think the Bears should have Dominated the Vikings, which did not happen. As of now I think the only way I will change my view of Trestman is if the Offense starts putting up 30 every game. I think…

I know he laid a big turd in Denver but so did Bellichick in Cleveland. I want an offensive minded coach. I am willing to give this guy a shot. And he doesn't like Cutler so either Jay straightens out his crap (unlikely) or is moved. Peace

Winner gets worse draft pick and 3rd place bragging rights, loser takes the NFC North cellar and almost locks in a top 10 pick. I am torn, I really want a win and for us to go on a 7 game run and totally redeem ourselves, but the other half says this season is toast and the only way to get change is to tank even further. If we lose to Minny at home with AP, we need to fire someone within an hour of the game ending.
