1. Cutler was great. Aside from his pick-6 and first 10 throws, he finished 20-25 with 320 yards and 2 TD's. 2. Maybe I'm over-reacting but I think Alshon Jeffery will get to 1,000 yards this year. 3. Marshall is a beast. Bennett is a nice compliment to everything the offense has. 4. Putting the first few plays to the side, the OL wasn't too bad. Freeney going out helped too, I'm sure. Spencer is clearly the worst OL they have, however. Maybe it's already time to give Williams a try there? 5. Tim Jennings was awesome today. Peppers and Melton were forces. Briggs was fun to watch.

[uPDATE] Looks like they expect him to be out a couple of weeks, so as to not have portions of his salary count against the cap (the weeks he is out), they terminated him before Week 1. If they bring him back, he will be paid on a week to week basis. So in the end seems to be a smart fiscal move on the Bears part.

For the sake of my sanity I'm trying to make lite of this current situation by trying to laugh instead of scream. 1) Frank Omayele to defensive tackle: His anticipating the snap would have him in the opponents backfield on every down. 2) Stephen Paea to offensive guard: Why not he is not playing on defense so try him at guard he may become the next Mark Bortz. 2) Roy Williams to safety: Since he is basically invisible on offense he should help the Bears disguise some of their coverages in the secondary and with his hands he would lead the league inpasses defended. 4)Tyler Clutts to defensive end : He returns to his college position to help spell Pepper…

This draft seems realistic to me as far as the Bears view players and needs. 2-Johnson/DE/Georgia Tech 3-Beckwith/LB/LSU 4-Barden/WR/Cal Poly 5a-Turner/WR/USC 5b-Hamlin/FS/Clem 6-Brewster/OT/Ball State 7a-Fletcher/CB/Iowa 7b-McCall/FB/Ala They view defense a priority, they think they can get DBs in later rounds, and draft a couple of WRs.

It is amazing the money the Bears have shelled out for what has been considered a complete lack of effort and discipline with regression and disappointment throughout the roster. We have a QUARTERBACK. Yes, it is hard to believe. We have upgraded our OL to protect this excellent MOBILE Quarterback. Forte average ypc will benefit immensely as teams will not be able to stack the "Box" Forte is an excellent receiver as well. Greg Olsen will be HUGE as a target for Cutler, Clark & K Davis will also contribute. Cutler's buddy E Bennett should have an excellent year. Cutler to Hester connection should be very exciting, Cutler can hit him on those deep routes. Then I read this from FootBallGuys.com: Then you add in our sleeper WR from the 7th Rd. This could be very interesting!!!!!!

Has there ever, EVER, been a HC more ignorantly stubborn, more ridiculously incompetent, more hilariously overmatched and bewildered by the ability to challenge via instant replay?! This guy constantly challenges the wrong plays, and looks baffled with that Zombie Lovie look when the call doesn't go his way.
