Bearstalk

I don't like Peter Carroll. So, F Seattle. We will lose handily, but I hope we F em up in some small but very legal way along the way.

Maybe a little bit premature, but the odds are out for week 1. The Bears are ten point favorites. Is that an indication of how good the Bears are going to be, how bad the Colts were, or both?

Looks like the OL change for this week is going to be Rachal in for Spencer. I guess its something...

Right now, with current records, we only have one game vs a prospective playoff team (LAR), and 3 games against potential playoff teams (GB and MIN x2). If we split the division and go 3-2 the rest of the way, beat the teams with 2 or less wins (BUF, SF, NYG) and lose to LAR, that's 6-3 the rest of the way without too much stretching. Week 9 at BUF (2-5) - Bills are coming off a MNF game and a short week. They have scored 81 pts on the season in 7 games. We should and need to dominate this game. I would consider resting Mack and Robinson again if they are not 100%. 5-3. Week 10 vs DET (3-4) - Lions games are always determined by which team or Stafford shows up. Are…

Just read an article that Benson says the Bears blacklisted him with other teams. What an insecure twit! Cincy really is a perfect home for him, bunch of loud mouth, insecure crybabies!

And Tommie is giving roster advice - oh goodie!!!!! http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,2581471.story Peace

Now that McGowan is out for the year what do we do...promote someone from the practice squad to take his place on the 53 man roster or sign someone off the FA wire. What do you think we should do. IMHO we should promote Bowman the CB since he made the 53 man roster in the first place. But do we need a back up at safety or are we happy with Brown,Payne Manning and Steltz

1. Tremain Edmunds LB - VT 6'5 250 Edmunds is too versatile to pass. He can play inside or on the edge. Remember Clay Matthews in his prime moving all along the front and always sacking Cutler. This is how I envision Fangio using Edmunds. This is a disruptive playmaker the D needs to become top 5. This is not about adding a great sound ILB which can be had with Smith, but a guy that is a chess piece offenses try to anticipate. 2a. Sam Hubbard OLB/DE - Ohio St 6'5 270 Drafttek has the Bears selecting him also, like Edmunds and it makes sense. Hubbard is not a flashy player but he will do his job 110%. He is a football player and will probably be a lo…

Christian Hackenberg and Dak Prescott for different reasons draft stock has dropped! Hackenberg who's former college coach has signed Brock Osweiler after many speculated that he and the Texans were the perfect match in the first or second round because of familiarity between the 2. Well not waiting on your former QB who played in your system in college is a red flag to everyone else also! Dak Prescott with sketchy details has allegedly been arrested for a DUI and that in itself has dropped his stock. As a QB and expected leader of the team decisions off the field factor into that evaluation process and this looks bad and drops him in my eyes

Who are some names of players you might see shine in the combine comming up?

What's everyone doing for opening day? Looking for gameday rituals/ drink of choice for Bears games/ food you make for game time. Ill start: Starting Friday ill prepare about 9 slabs of Baby Back with a rub past down from my old man. Saturday ill smoke them for about 6 to 7 hours. Opening day will Entail too much food and too m…

I was very critical of Jay during & after the Giants game but after my rewatch & reading the news since it seems he played most of the game concussed. Not a lot a QB can do when he has no idea whats going on. My only question now is if I could spot it watching on telly why didn't the coaches/doctors not pull him straight away??

The first order of business for the new coaching staff is to evaluate their own players and resign their free agents that they will want to keep or cut players under contract. Bates, because of injury, may not be kept. They know more about his problem and whether he is healed. If healthy he can be a competent backup or even starting center at which they brought him in for. 4 mil would be saved. Gerald Everett never had a role on this team but has a history of a contributing player. Kmet didn't get targets so obviously Gerald didn't either. We will have to see how the new coaches evaluate him. 5 mil would be saved if cut. Tyler Scott never showed up but can …

Watching both Detroit vs cardinals and gb vs. eagles hoping they both lose

Is RB a high need? No. Do we need a complement to Howard? Maybe. Some say yes. If so, what does this complement need? I'd say some of the following: -Elusiveness -Home Run speed -Ability to catch out of the backfield Gents, I present to you, Tarik Cohen, RB, NC A&T. You may not have heard of this guy, but I'm pretty familiar with him. He's undersized, but pretty damn amazing. He'll likely run a low 4.4 forty, runs with power for his size, and makes the right decision over and over. He'd be a great complement to Howard.

Here's to everyone having safe and happy 4th of July. I'd like to take this time to all the men and women who have served and are currently serving their country for the freedoms we enjoy today. May God Bless and keep every one of you.

Steve Wyche on NFL Network keeps repeating that he believes the Bears will now focus on Abraham, Nicks and Winston.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/...h-hit/#comments I disagree with Marshall, but damn if I don't love his desire to stick up for his QB. This is the stuff that bring cohesiveness... Did you all hear the outpour of love and ovation when Cutty returned to the game? I loved that! Don't listen to the national (or local) media Jay. We are 100% with you! I don't care if Jay's surly or jovial. I just want him to play hard and smart and well. And I think he's doing all 3. And there is a lot of room for improvement. I love this team. Let me count the ways... 1. It's the Bears 2. The D is playing their best since the SB campaign. M…
