I couldn't believe he was with us that long. But he played 10 years with the Bears and averaged just over $1M per season with the Bears. Was a fantastic value player, missed a grand total of 6 games during that tenure and gave up an average of 3 sacks per year. He was getting older and wasn't the player he once was, but he did a good job in Chicago and wore the uniform with pride.

So George Whitfield, the QB coach, has said that he'd like to work with Cutler, going so far as to call him "arguably the most naturally gifted quarterback on the planet, maybe the most gifted since Elway." I know this has been talked about many times however, I am so freakin pissed off right now with this defense. I know it is only the 2nd game as well however, it is the freakin cheese heads we are playing. This so called defense continues to give up huge yardage and does not seem to be doing anything positively right now. How else do you explain that last Sunday we make a rookie QB look like a freakin All-Pro and tonight the "D" is getting even more exploited by the QB who has been one of the best in recent memory in the NFL. Yes I did just see Julius Peppers get another sack however, the huge plays will continue to hurt us and we are lucky to be only down 3 with 2:09 …

In the article the suggestion was the bears trade for mo wilk. and what it recommended we offer: wait for it.... the 11th pick AND alshon Jeffrey!!! 1. The defense was borderline dominant, led by Hicks, Fuller, and Amos. Jackson, Trevathan, and Callahan also had great games. Literally, the only knock on the defense was Jones, who seemed lost for a bunch of plays (which is somewhat understandable considering his play time). Defense looked much better with Trevathan back. Amos' play is going to make us forget we have Demps. If he can keep it up, we all of a sudden have a great Safety duo in Amos and Jackson. There is not much more you can say about Hicks other than the dude comes to play and earns his check every game. Love it. Floyd was not as visible this game, but does seem to get held on every play.
