Seems like he'll get a new gig. Will be curious to see who Bears replace him with. He was a tremendous hire and will be a big loss (albeit the draft pick compensation for losing him will be nice too). Latest is he is down to the final 2 with Washington. I haven't heard whether he is in the running with Carolina, New England, San Diego, or Oakland. Or am I mistaken and Oakland has a GM? Are there any other teams I'm leaving out? Certainly seems unlikely with that many GM jobs, that the Bears won't lose him.

Sorry fellas, I need to vent a bit... This loss was a big one. It puts us in third in the division. Before I go into more detail, the loss is really on the entire organization top to bottom. GM, coaches and players. 1. What gives with the false starts? Especially Old Man Pace? 4*-1 with the game on the line? Just beyond inexcusable. This team did not look ready to play. Has anyone else noticed that there have been quite a few OBVIOUS pass interference situations on the Bears WRs/TEs, and they have not been called? It seems that there has been many more than normal recently, with replays in more than one game making announcers say, "Yeah, that should have been pass interference." Is this a matter of respect for the passing game, or lack thereof?

Friend of mine recently sat next to Alex Brown on a flight, they talked about the the Bears and SEC football for pretty much the whole flight...... Pace is loved by the McCaskey's. The phrase "Pace walks on water in Halas" was used by Brown. He thinks if there is a fall guy it will be Nagy. This was before the Detroit game tho, so depending how the rest of the season goes that could change.

I respect Fangio and the work he did putting a respectable defense on the field last year despite all the injuries and lack of talent especially for his scheme, was IMO, one of best coaching jobs we've seen in a long time with the Bears. I remember last year his comments about players were usually we'll see, or "we have one good Dlineman and the rest we'll see". This year he's clearly more upbeat about the players while still acknowledging the amount of work that needs to be done to get them up to speed. As long as we have Turner and Babich running the O and the D we will be hurting. It seem that neither can make half time adjustments or change the scheme on the fly. On offense we run the same old plays no matter what the down and distance is. No thought of using all the weapons you have i.e...Olsen Davis and Clark at TE. When was the last time you saw the 3 TE set with Davis and Olsen at receiving TE? Jones and Forte in the backfield together? Hester is the semi-wildcat? On defense we need to start someone that really wants to play and stop going through the motions. does it really matter who we get at DC? Whomever comes in will most likely have no previous DC experience (probably someone from Indy's staff). Unless Lovie can pull a rabbit out of a hat and get Herm Edwards to take the position, he is screwed. Hell, they might as well give Babich the position back. He won't cost them anything extra and they could say that a year away from the position gave him a better perspective. Who cares what the fans think???
