I know there are a lot of if's, but if the 2 vets work out, and the rookies play to their potential, could this possibly be the best group of LB's ever? Just seems like I have never seen a team with 5 LB's that could potentially be starters. I am really excited about this bunch.

That both linemen that the bears have chosen come from very fast pace offensive teams. In face they come from two of the top five scoring teams. So is this a sign that the bears are picking athletes that can keep up with that fast pace?

He seems to have taken it upon himself to be a real team leader. He is working out with the receivers on the team and was the first to introduce himself to Long and spend time with him. I'm really impressed with him taking huge steps to put himself out there for the organizations. He's really proved me wrong an any questions i had about his character.

Since we get to look at the draft now here is what I would have did. Round 1: I would have traded down with Atlanta getting an extra 3rd. Emery said we had the chance but trade value wasnt there.Since I still think we needed to go OL. Kyle Long/OG Round 2: I would go with the best rated LB instead of Bostic Arthur Brown/LB Round 3: We got this pick from Atlanta, would fit in as our NB right away and also is a good KR,PR giving us the option to cut Hester. B.W. Webb/CB Round 4: Green was a good value here and would stay with that. K. Green/LB Round 5: Go with another need here. J…

Here is my mock draft scenario, and based on all mock drafts, none of my picks will be correct, however, it would be nice to address these positions: 1. Bears trade #20 to SF for #31, #74 (Rd3), and #157 (Rd5) so SF can draft Kenny Vaccaro at #20. 2. Bears trade #31 and #188 to Philly for #35 (Rd2) and #101 (Rd4) who were looking to move into the late first. 35 (2) - Arthur Brown, LB 50 (2) - Kyle Long, OT (Original Pick: David Amerson, CB) 74 (3) - Brian Schwenke, OC 101 (4) - Marquise Goodwin, WR 117 (4) - Logan Ryan, CB (Original Pick: Brennan Williams, OT) 153 (5) - Zac Dysert, QB 157 (5) - Bennie Logan, DT

1st Round - #20 - Kyle Long, OG, Oregon - Grade: B, I thought this was a little early for Long, but I still love that he is on our team. He is going to bring a little attitude to the line with Slauson. I can see this grade moving up to an A by the end of the season, but right now I will stick with a B because I though a trade down and picking up two players would be better value than just one pick. 2nd Round - #50 - Jon Bostic, LB, Florida - Grade: C+, I felt like this was another reach at #50, but without a 3rd rounder, they didn’t have many other options. I like Bostic, I just felt of all the picks, this one was the biggest reach. For me, it is a C+ as it fills…

Played some LB, but projects as DE. McClellin and Wootton have some competition. From NFLDraftScout.com: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players...lius-washington Projected 2-3rd Round (82nd Overall), we got him at 188.

Opinions on players selected, this draft brings foward something I am not used to see. There were two core groups with gaping needs, OL and LB. The Bears spent the first four picks selecting players for exactly those positions. There is no DE or Safety that were staples of the previous regime, depending on the 7th round to bring youth to the Ol. I like that the team this year saw needs and aggressively attacked the position. While I may or may not be excited about the players selected, Emery gets credit for not ignoring needs like the previous administration. I'm excited to see how this turns out. I think 2 Linemen, 2 LB's, and a half of a Brandon Marshall was …

Nice pick by Emery, surprised he fell that far. Some nice competition and depth at LB this year, and we just got a lot younger and faster.

I like how Emery is filling out this roster. He didn't bite on restructuring veterans to make more cap space. He is following a plan even though us as fans want the right now satisfaction. By this time next year, we will have at least 7 picks to load up and our cap situation should be healthy were we can continue to add or sign our own. LB is a position we were in desperate need of. Williams and Anderson are on one year contracts and Briggs is getting up there in age. I called for Ogletree/Brown in my last mock, we couldve went that route. I am actually more pleased getting Long and two guys that were not much of a dropoff. Here's to hoping Emerys vision has some succe…

Since were taking player projects that are athletic, I see Denard Robinson in our future, probably 5th round.
