http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post...admires-jeffery The Marshal Jeffrey combo could be deadly. There are not many teams with two shut down corners that can hang with these two when it comes to height.

Eagles get #2 and a 2017 4th. Browns get Eagles' 1st, 3rd, 4th, 2017 1st and 2018 2nd. I don't get all this movement so far in advance. I didn't get why the Rams would trade up to #1 and not announce who they were taking right away because they have to know if they are trading up there. I don't get the Eagles giving up so much to move up unless they know for sure which QB (I assume) they are going to be left with after the Rams draft. And I really don't get why this year seemed to start out as a relatively down year for QBs and now everyone is trading whole drafts to get Carson Wentz and Jared Goff. Maybe the Eagles are targeting someone else (Ramsey?), but every…

What if we signed Michael Floyd from the Patriots as a free agent to a low end contract at WR and draft Evan Engram as a TE. How much better would this make our offense?

Since the Bears moved up and invested everything for the Trubisky pick, that signals to me a few things: 1. Pace is staking his job on this pick. 2. Trubisky will be given every possible chance to win the job. 3. Trubisky absolutely will be starting next year, regardless of how well Glennon does. 4. The Bears are embracing the new era approach to the passing game. With all of that said, I don't care who is there with the second pick. If Cam Robinson is available, that's a slam dunk. He was widely considered the #1 OT in the draft just a month or so ago, and there was talk of him going top 15. If he's there in round two, that's incredible value. Remember, Pa…

Any news on the severity of Miller's shoulder injury? I'm a little worried since he missed his 2014 college season due to a similar injury. Very curious why he was back on the field if he actually had separated it. That play where he re-injured it looked very innocent. I hope the Bears and Miller didn't take a 1-2 week injury and make it a season ending injury. If they did, we better hope that Wims / White have some game in them because I haven't seen a ton of out this receiving corps yet.

Here is what one draft guru had to say about who we pick C.J. Mosley Alabama LB He is one of the most underrated players in the draft, and could be the successor to Lance Briggs or Brian Urlacher. The Bears need to take the best available defensive player. The ideal pick would be Donald, but there is virtually no way he is available at 14. Mosley is every bit the player Donald is. The difference in his draft stock is there are questions about his ability to stay healthy. If the Bears' doctors don't sign off on Mosley or if Mosely is off the board, they could go for Kyle Fuller. Others in the mix are safeties Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and Calvin Pryor.

This is the 10th year I've been to training camp and I enjoyed it as usual, although it was limited with no pads. 1. D.J. Moore was the first guy out and shook hands with people for 20 minutes. Good guy. 2. When practice was starting, I saw JA & Lovie having a serious discussion between the fields. Lovie then went to Tice. I figured then it was about Kreutz. 3. I saw Roy Williams and said, "holy shit." Damn he looks impressive. He's tall, lean, chiseled. While he didn't practice, he passes "the look" test. 4. Matt Spaeth is built like Greg Olsen. I don't see how he can be a great blocker. Manu was 6-0 300. Spaeth is 6-7 260. 5. There was no p…

McBride can feel like a 5th-round pick now Trumaine McBride figured all along he would be a fifth-round draft pick. At least he’s been compensated like one. The cornerback was the Bears’ biggest winner in the NFL’s performance-based pay system that rewards players for being on the field. The system adopted in 2002 provides the highest payouts to players who play the most and earn the least. As a seventh-round draft pick, 221st overall, McBride received a signing bonus of $55,250 for his four-year contract with a base salary of $285,000 last season. The payout received in performance-based pay? In excess of $200,000 according to two league sources, meaning McBr…

if what we are seeing is truly in the works then we really may see a change in how this franchise operates and is perceived. the rumors are out there that from the top down they have used the phoenix effect. burn this franchise to the ground and let it rise from the ashes. if so, then there is finally real hope for this team and it's fans. it seems it is starting from the very top: virginia mccaskey (a very good read)... http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2014/12/29/ber...d-bears-action/ moving ted phillips out of football operations and really hire a team president in that respect. these things are way more important than just hiring and firing a new c…

CB Janoris Jenkinsis an extremely talented CB, a Pro Bowl Man-to-Man cover guy who will undoubtedly be a great player, IF IF IF IF he can stay off of drugs IF he can keep his "weenie" under control IF he can find an NFL club gutsy enough to give him a shot 4 kids with 3 different women? Bounced from the Gators, winds up in a Div 2 school and still doesn't "get it" I just read a piece on NFL.com saying many have taken him completely off the draft boards and others would only take him in the 2nd or later. I am curious what you think. Certainly, the Bears, running the cover 2, would have no reason to gamble on this guy. If he were this great …

I took the time to watch the game again and I'll start my thoughts with the QB. I was a bit harsh on Trubisky in my other post where I said this was his worst game. He had the two picks and early on looked like he was trying to be too perfect or over-analyzing things. Announcers were critical of him for over throwing Jordan Howard in the flat in the first quarter but didn't acknowledge the hand of a defender that he had to throw over to top of. I don't regret at all the chance he took with Robinson when it was a foot short. In time he'll have a better feel for that throw. For the second game in a row he led the offense right down the field for a TD to open the …

So I'm sitting here watching Darren Sproles rip Denver a new A-hole, and I wonder aloud to myself, "Why don't the Bears give Garrett Wolfe a chance? He's essentially the same type of player as Darren Sproles. Yet, they worked Forte to the ground this year and gave the left over carries to Adrian Peterson for some reason." Wolfe 5'7" 177lbs 5136 rushing yards in college (three years) 4.39 forty at his pro-day Sproles 5'6" 181lbs 4979 rushing yards in college (three years and change) 4.47 forty at the combine I sure hope Turner can get even the slightest bit creative next year and figure a way to get Wolfe into the game. Watching Sproles destr…

The defense has been faultering lately but over all in the season it is still in the upper end of the league. Considering the lack of offense in many games, they showed fatige at the end of the game. Begining the yr Pickens was injured and just starting getting snaps the last few games. Sweat and Darrell Taylor have been fighting injuries most of the yr. Terrell Smith missed most of the season and Jacob Martin started the season on IR. Injuries are part of the game but only being 2 and a1/2 seasons into a complete rebuild, the roster in not up to speed yet. Kyler Gordon was out several games also. We have missed Brisker 7 games now and Billings is gone for the yr sta…

Just heard the newest spin on the NFL draft from "sources" close to the Bears. Supposedly Pace was told to get a QB no matter what with the first pick. He is not the man in charge when ownership is making the football decisions. Why does everything have to be a conspiracy. From Fox didnt know to this now. The Chiefs (edit:had -Cardinals) were praised for trading away their future for Mahomes and they said you do that for a QB that can be your franchis for 10 years. Bears do it and the world collapses.
