I know I have said this before. If one can't be positive at the start of training camp I think it will only go down hill as the season goes on. But I don't understand why this team has not gotten a true LT no matter the quality just as a camp body. They have a bunch at almost every position but not one LT that has played a game or even taken a snap in the reg. season at the position. What am I missing? OK you'r going to wait till camp cuts and then pay more for those who get cut, They should of signed someone long ago. Before they signed Butt, Hardy etc.

  3. Our OLine was one of our strong groups last year, injuries prevented it from being achieving top credits. What we have: Leno is rated by most accounts as average for a LT. Considering he has a fair contract value it makes him doable going forward. IMO: A upgrade would be nice but I think the Bears live with him a few more years and draft a replacement somewhere in the draft. Sitton is a quality OG top rated by most. He is 31 turning 32 next year and has missed 6 games in the last 2 years. IMO: He will get 8 mil this year which I think could come into play with a player starting the…

I seldom believe all that is reported in practice sessions by the coaching staff. You never hear negatives. Everything is superlative adjectives. Every player sounds like a future hall of famer. A G.O.A.T. That is until it is time to cut the roster down. However, on occasion you hear something that is factual and not subjective. I find this quote from ChicagoBears.com very encouraging in regards to J Fields progress: To me, on his first day working with the team, that's amazing!

Found this highlight reel on Youtube. Great compilation and awesome song. A good inspirational show going into the offseason. Proof that Angelo sometimes knows what he is doing. Also, besides Hester, there is evidence of Brendan Ayanbadejo needing to be kept as long as Hester is in Chicago. In almost every clip he (B.A. #94) is near Hester and helping him break it big. Both deserving of Special Teams Pro Bowlers. http://youtube.com/watch?v=Ro5NlgD3h7A

Just saw on NFL network that the Chargers released OT Shane Olivea. He isn't that old and OT is a huge need, what are your guys thoughts on this, I for one would shell the dough to get a proven vet on this line like shane. Chargers OL has been pretty darn good the last few years.

  10. From the list below what are your top four moves that the Bears have made this year? January 3rd: The Bears let go long long time general manager Jerry Angelo. I don't know how I missed this, but there have been multiple reports about Cohen not looking very good: June 16th and July 9th. Both reports say he was walking stiff, etc. He tore his ACL in late September, so we are 9 months post injury/surgery. From reading articles, that is about the time most athletes come back from the injury. With less than 2 months until the season, there is a chance he may not be ready Week 1. Something to monitor, because Cohen's entire game revolves around his ability to change direction and his lateral quickness. If he can't do that as well, his value drops to almost zero.

    2. Brian Robiskie, WR, Ohio State ---Either him, Nicks, or Britt will fall to us. I'll guess it's Robo. 3. Darcel McBath, FS, Texas Tech ---Smart player and a leader. We were at TT's pro day (along with the other 31 teams). 4. Henry Melton, DE, Texas ---6'3 260. Not a bad starting point for Marinelli. 5. Tony Fiammetta, FB, Syracuse ---Best FB in the draft and a definite upgrade over McKie 5. Louis Vazquez, OG, Texas Tech ---Strong OG who can compete for a starting job right away. Also, see 3rd round pick. 6. Mike Teel, QB, Rutgers ---I don't like going into the year with Hanie as our 2nd string. I haven't heard anything about veteran QB's coming her…

Also, I doubt the Giants go 4-1, and both NO and GB both win out. That would be 9 straight for NO. Its amazing how they talk about the Bears easy schedule. I believe NO's only win vs a winning team was vs PIT at home. We have beat the P…

Last night while he was on the field Mark Anderson drew quite a few false start penalties which might be overstating what he really did since he seemed to be the one pointing out the offenders. Regardless of what he did production-wise if he can be disruptive to the timing of the O-line that is a positive. I can't tell you of any other plays that he made so his contribution last night were 2 or 3 false start penalties by the Chargers.

I just read where there are 58 players at rookie mini camp. The more bodies the better, that is how you find diamonds in the rough. With that many I would say they sign a couple of try out players to regular camp.
