According to Mike Lombardi, during the 2nd round, the Bears and Cards were in trade talks regarding Boldin, but the Cards backed out. This really shows how committed JA and Lovie are to winning now, and makes me think that they were both given notice that this year is their last shot and if they fail to make the playoffs, their asses would be gone. I wonder if Q and the Cards are still butting heads near the time training camps begin, could we see us send some future draft picks their way for Q? Most likely not gonna happen, but one can only hope.

Just a total bummer. Urlacher had the better peak in the recent Bears era but Tillman was my favorite Bear of the last 10+ years and one of my favorite Bears all time. He was both a stud on the football field and a person who did a lot of good off the football field. For his season and potentially career to end this way stinks but I want to thank him for all of the fantastic memories and the fact that he represented our franchise so proudly both on and off the field. I do think if you brought in a GM like the Ravens guy (who is the top candidate in the league) and the Bears loved him and he was in with the exception that he needed to have a shot to bring in his coach, than I'd probably do it. However, when I look down the list of NFL head coaches, I only see 5 coaches better than Lovie in this league: 1. Bellicheck 2. Sean Payton 3. McCarthy 4. Tomlin 5. Reid I think anyone else and you can make an argument Lovie is better.
