Veteran C Olin Kreutz is walking away from the Saints because "he no longer feels passion and doesn't want to just collect paycheck," according to his agent.

I view Kromer as a straightforward guy who won't spin things. It was nice to hear him discuss the talent level of the offense and the improvement from last year to this year. He's not discussing the starters rather the depth on the roster specifically the Oline depth and TE options we have on the roster. http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/vid...27-f4c0766bf86e

Why was he longsnapping to Cutler's shoes all night long? I'm convinced it was the cause of one of the turnovers... He is a shell of his former self.

Impressive accomplishment: Smith registered his 50th victory in his 88th game as Bears coach Sunday (including playoffs), reaching the milestone quicker than Bill Parcells (89th game), Bill Walsh (91st), Chuck Noll (94th), Bill Belichick (111th) and Tom Landry (119th). http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=6177

http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=5548 NORTHBROOK, Ill. – Thanks in part to two Bears players, U.S. soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan will enjoy a special meal while watching the Super Bowl a week from Sunday. Punter Brad Maynard and running back Adrian Peterson helped load 2,000 Lou Malnati’s pizzas onto trucks Friday at Lou Malnati’s corporate office in Northbrook. The pizzas will be shipped by DHL to troops in the Middle East through the Pizzas 4 Patriots organization. Brad Maynard and Adrian Peterson pose with soldier Jeff Palenske and retired Air Force Sgt. Kurt Warner should be high on Chicago Bears' shopping list Bears would be wise to show interest in 37-year-old potential Hall of Fame QB David Haugh | On the Bears January 6, 2009 An NFL general manager who establishes finding a quarterback as his team's top off-season priority, as Jerry Angelo has for the Bears, is like an astronaut who says he is ready to soar into space. Conceptually, there can be no limits to the possibilities, or what's the use? That thought left the deepest impression when considering how the Bears viewed the first round of the NFL playoffs, a weekend that included 37-year-old free-agent-to-be Kurt Warner taking the Arizona Cardi…

REPORT: WARNER LOOKING FOR $9M PER YEAR Posted by Sheil Kapadia on February 1, 2009, 3:27 p.m. With Kurt Warner a little more than three hours away from starting his third Super Bowl, details about what he could be looking for in free agency continue to emerge. According to NFL Network’s Adam Schefter, Warner wants a two-year deal worth about $9 million per year. ESPN’s Chris Mortensen also reported today that Warner wants two years. Of course, as Aaron Wilson pointed out earlier, Warner hasn’t even decided whether he wants to play anywhere next season. Meanwhile, rumors that Warner’s offensive coordinator Todd Haley is heading to Kansas City cont…

With the recent contract updates both Howard and Kwiatkoski have earned pay raises and now have $2mil/yr salaries based on playing time. Both have earned it, especially Howard. However, we are tight on cap space and depending on how things go with Iggy, Kwit might be the 4th ILB on this roster. That's not a spot we can afford to spend $2mil to fill. Nor is he the ideal fit inside due to his lack of speed. I don't know for sure what Pagano wants in his ILBs I can't imagine it's much different from Fangio. Kwit is a good ILB and could easily fit well into someone's 4-3 scheme. I think the Bears should try to trade him for a day 3 pick. We can likely sign a vet…

A little more insight on our rookie ILB. These guys do a good job breaking down Kwiatkoski's skills defending the run. I still like this draft pick and agree with the decision to move up to take him. He's got at least one year to sit behind Trev and Freeman and learn, more likely two or three. If he gets on the field sooner I think he's already better at diagnosing plays between the tackles than any of the ILBs who took the field for us last year. The outside the tackle stuff like pass coverage will take longer. http://bearswire.usatoday.com/2016/06/02/b...opping-the-run/

Day 6 looks like kyle is back even if not ahead of rex now. Kyle and Rex both had pics in today's camp, but rex also fumbled 2 (yeah I said it 2) frickin snaps! Kyle's pic was pretty close to the same as Rex's ,as they were both going for the long bomb, but you will also notice on the video, that rex should have had at least one more pic when either vasher or mcbride batted the ball away down the left side of the field. Rex looked like the qb of old as he had his fumblitis with the snaps, throws into double coverage, and numerous batted down passes at the line. The commentator said the kyle is even if not slightly ahead after today, and I'd have to say that it appear…
