  2. Here's your real chance offensive line, try to get everyone in a groove. Jason Pierre-Paul is expected to miss the game with back stiffness. Bears missing safeties Conte and Hardin, Steltz and UDFA Anthony Walters expected to step in at safety. Adam Podlesh, Bears punter, likely to miss game and long term status still undetermined, Rookie Ryan Quigley will get a trial tomorrow night. Urlacher, obviously, still out. First roster cuts, down to 75, due Monday.

I'm not sure where to fit this guy in on a draft board but he's starting to take the same path Haason Reddick did last year with a big rise up draft boards once the process started. Reddick was just 6'1" tall whereas Edmunds is listed at 6'5". That could put Edmunds in play for us at OLB. Like Leonard Floyd he was most often lined up as a LB off the line so in two games and some highlights I didn't see much film of him coming off the edge. When he does he shows some of the skills you want to see. I think he'll need to be stronger in his upper body to play there full time. Watching him play I think he could easily slot into the ILB role for us. If Fangio thi…

Well guys after I visited TC last year,I like the experience and want to continue the trend of being able to try and report what I see to you. So here is the plan I will hit TC on Monday Aug 3 my B-day( The Big 50) depending on practice schedule times. I'll keep you posted and I will wear something that will make me easy to recognize. If you plan on being there that day let me know and we can meet and greet. I would feel very guilty if I didn't invite you guys to my Big Five O celebration at my apartment complex at 724 N Villa ave in Villa Park Ill on Sunday Aug 2nd from 12 noon until the 'Ol Man needs a nap. It will be in the courtyard and I have quite a few B…

I was thinking: if you could add ANY two NFL players (current) to the current Bears team, who would they be? I've thought long and hard about this, and I've decided that 3 months ago, I would've said Fitzgerald and Calvin Johnson. But, the Bears just used a 2nd round pick on Alshon Jeffery and two 3rd's + $9m/year on Brandon Marshall. So, I came up with these two: Joe Thomas, LT, Browns Haloti Ngata, DT, Ravens Thomas and Ngata are both in their primes and both very good. The Bears OL would go from medicore to good in a heartbeat, and their DL would be McClellin-Melton-Ngata-Peppers. Honorable mention: Darelle Revis, Rob Gronkowski, Jared Allen.…

I found this article on nbcsports.com an excellent read. I would have to agree totally with their assessment of our needs in the draft, although I'm also certain many of you would disagree. Ranking the Bears' Draft Needs No. 13 to No. 1

And I'm not one to suggest hiring former Bear players as coaches, but if the Bears were to go down the path of hiring an offensive minded head coach (or for that matter Toub), I would be very interested in bringing Frazier in as our DC. I figure it is a relatively realistic option as well (vs. say Rex Ryan, who clearly would be a dream but probably not happening). Anyone else have particular people in mind for the DC position?

INJURY REPORT AND IMPLICATIONS Green Bay Packers (5-9) at Chicago Bears (8-6) By Michael Nudo An injury at safety has forced Tramon Williams in at cornerback (AP Photo/Morry Gash). BEARS OFFENSE vs. PACKERS DEFENSE The Bears have been without fullback Jason McKie (quadriceps) for close to a month. Jason Davis held down the spot while McKie has been out. Wide receiver Marty Booker (rib) sat out last week’s game and may be ready for action Monday. Running back Matt Forte injured his toe on the opening series against New Orleans but was able to return. Forte hadn’t practiced through Thursday. The Bears may be giving him some extra time off to he…

http://leisureblogs.chicagotribune.com/the...-last-time.html 'Da Bears Movie Dat Wasn't': Da Coach goes to bed early but the Super Fans hit the cheesy curly fries one last time Share | Well, Da Coach, Da Coach whose name was on the tickets, skipped the late-night sausage, the cheese-swamped curly fries and the on-stage kegger in honor of Lord Stanley. But as you'd expect, the Super Fans were forgiving at the end of the show. Their walrus 'taches did not droop at being jilted by their icon. Their aviator glasses concealed no tears. "He's old," said Carl Wollarski, otherwise known as Robert Smigel. "He's gone home." "Keith Van Horne," noted B…

This guy understands it. Call it placation if you wish, but I think this is an honest understanding that he put too much on them, and it nearly derailed the entire season. Martz takes the blame

  11. Apparently, since the Bears practice at Olivet Nazarine University, if the Lockout starts leading to a delay in the start of the season/end of training camp, the Bears may be forced to either break camp early or else find a fully new camp location. The Fall semester starts August 27th.

    * CAUTION - LONG * So the latest trend with Fields after the draft is that he has the worst supporting cast in the NFL. I get that the Bears didn't draft a WR in the 2nd but would drafting Pickens, Pierce, or Moore in the 2nd instead of Jones in the 3rd really change anything? I highly doubt it. Going into this season, the Bears already have 4x players who had over 50 targets from last season (Mooney, Kmet, Pringle, and Montgomery). Why does that matter? Well I am glad you asked. I looked back at two recent 2nd-year QBs that made significant leaps in the 2nd seasons, Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. I am not saying Fields is going to win MVP like Jackson did, but c…

TE Burton-Shaheen-Ben B- Raymond I think Shaheen takes a step forward this season and Raymond ends up being our 3rd TE out the blocks. WR Robinson-Gabriel-Miller-Wims-Patterson-Ridley-Hall also we have on the roster Gentry- M.Hall-Williams-Lambert that may not last long. Ridley -route runner-Hall speed. RB-Cohen-Davis-Nall-Mizzell-Montgomery-Whyte-Patterson Now I hope Mizzell is finally gone for good. Whyte has big speed. Speed we now have. Cohen-Whyte-Gabreil-M Hall-E Hall-Patterson MT is going to have fun this year.

Epic win following Monday's Night's win. Bad 1st half followed by one of the best 2nd half's you will ever see. Defense on all cylinders, Offense coming alive. Great game, and awesome way to go into the Bye. Add that to a GB loss = priceless.

Shanny- keeps a close relationship with Cutler and its says would be interested in coaching Cutler again. 3. Emery has told his staff he may retain his job 4. Harbaugh may be too expensive for the Bears and the control on final say on roster moves would have to shift for Harbaugh to come. Does with have to do with Phillips?????

Jay Cutler should not be the scapegoat, not jays fault, he should be starting. Gould hopes Cutler is back next year to lead this team. Also said this year is not the Bear way, being a Bear for 10 years this year is not the way Lovie had taught them concerning things getting out of the locker room people throwing others under the bus...etc.... Some points I thought you guys may have been interested to hear
