There is always something missing from the glass chicago. I choose to trust it will be filled with something and it might be enough to be satisfied without being full. I choose to look at what we have. -Hester is fast and capable of magnificent things. He scares opponents. Jay can get him the ball... -Olsen may be the biggest secret weapon we have and I am interested to see him show up. -Forte, able to do it all and makes it look good. I think he can keep doin it. -Pace, Williams, Kreutz, and a RT that has done it before. -Marinelli, known to be "the best" D Line coach there is. -Pro bowl players on Defense, where infusion of youth…

Wow was that bad. Was there a snap Cutler wasn't having to run for his life? How many times did Forte have a hole to run through. The left side of our OL was "upgraded" but they were horrible. Pace looked slow and weak. On one play, it was to be a run between up the middle. Omiyale blocks down inside, while Pace is supposed to move/pull to the right and block the guy who was basically lined up in front of Omiyale. Pace is about 3 steps too slow, and (I think) Jolley simply has a clear path to hit Forte in the backfield. Another play, just to point out, Omiyale sort of tried to cheat a bit buy lunging at Jolley off the snap. It looked sad as Jolley…

NFL Network's Charles Davis says Pitt's Tom Savage would be a good fit for the Bears. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap100000034...-groom-young-qb I don't know much about this guy except he couldn't handle the heat here in AZ. I watched the video clip about him and they mentioned him going in Rd 3. CBS draft board has him as a 5th Rd pick. I think we go QB in 4-5th Rd so Savage is a guy who should be on our radar.

Just for fun I thought of it from TD's point of view (seriously, without jest): The Bears absolutely have to get rid of Cutler. Conservatively, I think the Bears can get a 4th for him. Maybe a 3rd. Let's say TN wants him. 1 - Shane Ray, DE, Missouri --or-- Randy Gregory, DE, Nebraska - Whoever they like best and fits the scheme to be run. 2 - Derron Smith, FS, Fresno St. - Best FS in the draft. Great instincts. Good angles. Awesome hands. Predicts passes and jumps routes. 3 - Bryce Petty, QB, Baylor - He's pretty much the antithesis of Cutler at QB. 4 - Deshazor Everett, CB, TX A&M - He already has a history of crushing Green Bay players. 4 - Jake Fish…

According to SI.com former Bears coach Jim Dooley died at age 77. Man, he had Butkus and Sayers on the team and they went 1-13 in 1969. He also was an assistant under Ditka. R:I.P "When Jim was first drafted, he called ... Coach Halas and said, `What's my bonus?"' Elaine Dooley recalled. "Halas said, `Your bonus is you're drafted for the Chicago Bears."'

I’m a softie for stories like this. Seems appropriate for the holiday season. Encouraging to see so many members of the team to help push the positive juju for this boy.

Epic win following Monday's Night's win. Bad 1st half followed by one of the best 2nd half's you will ever see. Defense on all cylinders, Offense coming alive. Great game, and awesome way to go into the Bye. Add that to a GB loss = priceless.

Kevin White was at practice doing some side work. Fox said he's been doing indoor work and has progressed to grass. Really encouraging stuff. Probably still out 4-6 weeks I'd guess but that's a whole lot sooner than I thought (I thought he'd be gone all year). I know playoffs sound crazy, but tread water around .500 till White (and Alshon) comes back, and explode through the last 5-6 weeks and boom, playoffs.

Schefter just reported it. That means we're going for a CB very soon.

I think, as a Bears fan, and feeling slightly petty about things...I want both teams to lose. A - SF, while they have Robbie (and that's about the only reason I don't mind them winning), they are where we want to be. The story of how Lynch fleeced us, how we let Mostert go, etc...will be played over and over again. I kind of don't want to hear it. B - KC, yup...we will forever hear the Bears took Tru over Mahomes. That dead horse will be flogged ad nausea. Then, Tyreek Hill having domestic problems...kind of hard to root for the guy. That said, Reid seems like a likable chap, and I don't mind him finally getting one, thus validating Nagy? And Mahomes p…

Its easy to beat a dead horse, but after watching the Division Championship games, I wanted to draw this comparison Halfway thru the NFC CHampionship game, this popped into my head: The value of a recieving TE today Compiled through 8 quarters of Football yesterday, the TEs produced: Vernon Davis: 6-106-1TD Tony Gonzales: 8-78-1TD Aaron Hernandez: 9-83 Dennis Pitta: 7-55-1TD ------------------------------------ 30 Receptions - 322 Yards - 3TDs 2012---- Kellen Davis: 19-229-2TDs Matt Spaeth: 6-28-1TD 25 Receptions - 257 Yards - 3TDs and neither one of them can block worth shit.... If this isnt a need, I dont know what is.... 4th o…

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/stor...&id=5062971 OK guys, I’m bored. Above is a link to an Albert Haynesworth “on the block” article. Here’s a guy that’s a beast when healthy. I salivate at the thought of having a guy like him line up next to Tommie Harris. Our line could look like a train wreck coming at opposing QB’s. …And he could actually be affordable, as the Redskins already paid him a 21 million roster bonus this year. Thoughts??

  18. Peter King recently released a top 100 players list like the one on NFL Network and Cutler is his #85. I agree here. The Bears only have 3 more on NFL Network's list after Briggs was 93 or 94, so it must be Hester, Peppers, and Urlacher. Cutler isn't liked by many peers, but there's no way Donovan McNabb is better than JC is. Hell, even Greg Jennings was ranked like 73rd or something by NFL Network. Is there really 13 or 14 WR's better?

I'm actually very surprised to see him in this role. Both because I never thought he'd want to be there and because I never thought a broadcaster would want him there. It will be interesting to hear his analysis. "What you're really looking for here is the guy who is in blanket coverage between the FS and CB." http://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/former-...oins-the-media/
