The 49ers are putting ILB Michael Wilhoite on the trading block, reportedly looking for a 6th or 7th round pick. He beat out Chris Borland last year to win the starting ILB job for Fangio. His stats weren't eye popping or anything, but he did start a whole season for a top 5 defense. At the very least you typically won't get a guy in the 6th or 7th round that could come in and compete for an ILB spot right out of the box. If Fangio likes this guy, getting a starting ILB for a 6th round pick would be huge.

Was anyone else surprised by the consistency with which Martz had Cutler go back into deep drops the entire game? It seemed that a change should have been made considering the beating Cutler was taking and the frequency with which the Packers were blitzing, but it never really came like in the Cowboys game. I understand why the run game didn't get more love - especially considering the horrendous run blocking - but I don't get why there weren't more short passes in the flats, a screen or three, and a couple quick slants.

First of all Merry Christmas to everyone ! If our Bears continue to win and go into playoffs and play well. ( and who knows the super bowl ) Many teams will look at the bears during this time and just maybe consider they like who we have on our coaching staff. It seems every year winning teams not only lose players but coaches. Martz (head coach ) , Tice ( head coach or Off. cord ) and Toub who deserves to upgraded to DEF. or Off. cord. (somewhere ) job come to mind. You know all three will jump at the chance if offered. My question is how will this affect our Bears ?

Patriots RB Kevin Faulk was reportedly arrested for misdemeanor marijuana possession Friday night when was caught with four joints at a Lil' Wayne concert in the Cajundome. The drought of Patriot arrests has ended with Faulk and DB Willie Andrews getting caught this month. While going to the Cajundome is usually asking for trouble, Faulk might be the first person in history to get caught by a concert security check. If he wasn't in the league's confidential drug program, Faulk's playing status shouldn't be affected

Well, after being a lurker here for a long, long time I must say it's time to say hello and ask a question. As a life long Bear fan of over 50 years I never expected the Bears to be in this position this year, and least of all to have the once in a multitude of lifetime chances to eliminate my most hated team! Not only in the playoffs, but the NFC Champianship game at home! I will be physically sick if the Packers win the Halas Trophey next weekend. I'm already "forever" sick that the Superbowl Trophey is called the Lombardi Trophey!!!!! Am I sutpid or do others feel the same way?

Forte: 1,150 rushing yards - 11 TDs - 56 catchs - 480 receiving yards - 2 TDs. Olsen - 60-900-6 (I think he is on the verge of taking over as a lead receiver) Clark - 45-525-2 Lloyd - 60-750-4 Davis - 50-660-3 I think our run game is going to continue to struggle. So I just got this game yesterday and have been playing it for a while. There is a drastic difference between this year's game and last year's. They have changed the pace of the game to slow it down to make it seem realistic. It takes a while to get used to but I think it did the game well. They also changed the default quarter lengths to 7 min due to this change. - As far as the graphics go, this is the best looking madden game ever. Lots of little details in the game that I love. Former players rave about Bears line coach Rod Marinelli I've read posts before from former players who were taught by Marinelli, but this one expands on it with even a quote from Ron Rivera. I can't wait to see how our D Line plays this year. If they produce like I think they are going to, Lovie's defense is going to be a top 5 defense and our team will rock and roll!

Tribune is reporting it is a knee sprain. Bears will know more in another day or two. My personal feeling is he doesn't miss anymore than a week. I wouldn't even be shocked if he could play as early as next week. Sounds like there isn't any ligament damage but until they do the full medical exam after swelling goes down you just never know.

The Bears have signed practice squad RB Armando Allen to their active roster. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. they also placed RB Lorenzo Booker on IR and waived LB Patrick Trahan.

I'd have rather had an AFC team beat them, but a loss on the Packers just plain makes me smile. Seattle looked damn good beating them. But, like every team...they have a weakness. We just need to find it. Or when we play them in the NFC championship, we need to just get lucky!

He ran a 4.52 forty at the combine and it shows on the field where he is quick to get open and can threaten defenses deep down field. He is an aggressive inline blocker, not the strongest and often gets himself overextended. That's correctable and at least his heart is in it.
