If we win these last two games and get some help (Vikings loss,Redskins loss and Giants loss) we can be in the playoffs playing again against teams that beat us this year (Packers, Seahawks, 49ers) and get some sweet revenge!!!!

Kenyan Drake - 4.45, 4.44. He looked smooth. Good scat-back Ezekiel Elliot - 4.46 on his first try. Pretty good for his size. His calves are monstrous. Tyler Ervin - 4.40 on 1st effort. He looked pretty effortless too. Real light on his feet. Derrick Henry - 4.54, 4.52 at 247lbs. He had a real shaky start on the first run, but looked scary at the end of each. He had a big vertical and broad jump as well. Glenn Gronkowski - (listed as a RB ?) - 4.70, 4.74 at 239lbs, looked slow. He was very disappointed and looked like he wanted to cry. Andy Janovich - Who? 4.79, 4.84. Pure lead-blocker. Daniel Lasco - 4.44. He's destroying the combine. Also had a…

Maybe this isn't that big of a deal. We seem to beat everything in sight but the NFC South. We will obviously now lose to NO despite how much we may be up by in the 4th. Let's hope that's it. And that we don't face to face any of them in the playoffs! How's that for Kool-aid?

Based on Spotrac.com here's the list of Bears who are FA this offseason and their last salary. We have $19.6mil in cap space plus the certain $6.3mil we'll get when we cut Sims gives us $26mil to spend. The only other cut that I think could happen would be Acho giving us another $2.375mil in cap space. Spotrac forecasts Callahan's market value to be 4yr $28mil. I think coming off a broken foot and surgery lowers that. If nothing else, stacked up against all his other missed games in recent years, he'll have difficulty finding a GM willing to commit 4yrs with a big bonus. With $26mil to spend who do you want back, or do you cut Acho and spend $28mil. I…

I've never heard of this guy, just stumbled across his account, so I have no idea if he has any credentials at all (welcome to the internet!), but figured I'd pass them along anyway: Ty Youngfelt@TyYoungfelt·7 hrs Player I hear most connected to Bears today: Terrence Brooks Ty Youngfelt@TyYoungfelt·4h Bears entertaining idea of dealing next year's 1st to acquire additional 2 this year - have 5 players w/1st rd grade still avail, 1 top 15

So maybe it's slow and I'm looking for something, anything Bears related. Saw this speculative report (below) about the Bears looking at FA Evan Mathis (I'm for the 'no thanks' category). But what caught my attention was that the Bears are $8.1 million BELOW the cap at this point. That is with something like 90 players currently on the roster right? Seems pretty incredible. Of course I k is there are a few that need contract upgrades but still, seems pretty impressive. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0623-story.html

So I think we can safely say that some of the preseason can be correlated to the regular season. Special Teams was an issue in the preseason, and it was also in Week 1. On punts, MIN's PR Price averaged 17.0 on his returns (which is crazy). Duvernay averaged 9.3. The Bears lost 31 net yards in punt coverage. Wright was 7-333 on punts averaging 47.6. Taylor was 6-266 for only 44.3 per punt. So the Bears lost another 20 net yards in just punts. That is 51 lost yards without the offense or defense on the field, which basically equates to at least 3 pts. I don't know how a punter loses 10 yards off his punts from college to the pros. Then our glorious Capt…

Personnel changes I would like to see: I should first point out that for many of these changes, there is no chance, while others have already been announced. Still, this is a list of moves I think should be considered or done. Also, while scheme and playcalling could add to this list, I am just looking at personnel changes. Offense: - Flip flop Pace and Williams. Williams was expected to play LT this year until we brought in a former pro bowler, and Williams was moved to RT w/ the belief that we added a player too good not to start at LT. Well, that is far from the case. To me, there is no reason to continue wasting potential developmental time for Wil…

He ran a 4.52 forty at the combine and it shows on the field where he is quick to get open and can threaten defenses deep down field. He is an aggressive inline blocker, not the strongest and often gets himself overextended. That's correctable and at least his heart is in it. I think there should be more talk about drafting him and I think he'd be a good fit in the role Miller plays in our offense. https://www.landof10.com/iowa/iowa-tight-en...inating-blocker

Unfortunately, I've already started my mock drafts this year. Here's a few for Yalls review. For the most part, I am a trade down whore.

Reports are he, along with Dawson are interviewing today. Adam Jahns indicating that one source suggests that Ernie Accorsi's top recommendation is Gaine. I think a lot of what is being reported is pure crap. This is someone saying oh hey, Ernie worked with Bill Parcells, he clearly would want a Parcells guy.

Great leadership on the part of Peppers. These guys will be playing as a unified team when they return. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...ers-mother.html Source: Majority of Bears defense to attend funeral for Brian Urlacher’s mother NEIL HAYES September 17, 2011 11:52AM Reprints 9 Updated: September 17, 2011 11:56AM Virtually every member of the Bears defense will travel to Lovington, N.M., today to attend funeral services for Brian Urlacher’s mother, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. If I were running the show I'd want to do two main things, and one supplementary thing: -Shore up the OL by picking a LT that can start day-one. -Pick long, rangy, athletic defensive players to infuse the team with some burst. *Use late picks on risks with great reward. Here's how I'd do it. 1. Ronnie Stanley, LT, ND (Bookend for a decade) 2. Artie Burns, CB, Miami (Shutdown corner. Perfect fit with great potential.) 3. Carl Nassib, DE, PSU (Love his drive, determination, length. Perfect 5T for the Bears.) 4. Dak Prescott, QB, MSU (The more I watch of him, the more underrated I think he is. He has great potential.) 4. Jerell Adams, TE, SC (Big…

I’m putting a positive spin on how most of us feel about our offense at the moment with this; Eli Manning was benched for rookie Daniel Jones, Drew Brees is out six weeks after surgery on his throwing thumb, Roethlisberger is out the remainder of the season after surgery on his throwing elbow, Nick Foles is out indefinitely after breaking his non-throwing clavicle/collarbone and the Jets were down to their third seat QB after their starter was lost to mono for several weeks and their #1 backup to an injury last night. And Miami is a plain hot mess. So things could be much worse. On the lighter side; Pinero is ranked number one (and only) when kicking FGs beyond 50…
