I say we draft a LT in first round and CB in second. MLB to groove for Urlackers replacement in the third Defensively we get Avril/DE/Lions Offense Ben Grubbs/OG/Ravens-will have to pay Fred Davis/TE/Redskins-better qb for better option Stevie Johnson/WR/Bills- Buffalo sucks Kyle Orton/backup QB Offense LT-new guy LG-Grubbs OC-Garza RG-Spencer RT- Carimi TE- Fred Davis WR-Johnson-Bennett

I know this won't be a popular thought, but I would rather see the Bears bring back Martz as OC than to put Cutler and the offense through another learning curve. I see no reason to install another offense when Lovie only has 2 years left on contract. We have an good defense & special teams, but a defecient offense. No matter what/who's system we run, it will always be defecient unless we invest more into it (and many have said this even back in the Grossman/Benson days) Martz's offense can actually be the missing piece to improve Lovies D if we can just get the right personal in it. Lovies D is made to excel when playing with a lead, which he mentions 17pt…

  9. Started by jason,

When I watched the game against the Raiders I noted that Roy Williams looked faster than just about every other WR out of breaks in the pregame. And during the game he was open several times and just didn't see the ball. Why that happened is anyone's guess, but I'm 99% sure it's because he wasn't the first read and there wasn't enough time to get to the second read consistently. With Knox out, it appears that Williams is the #1 read and target...and was open. 6 catches for 81 yards could have easily been 7 for close to 100 if one other pass wasn't chucked at his feet. So it brings me to the question in the header, for those who have seen more games in person this…

They must re-sign Toub. He should be our highest paid assistant and we shouldn't let him go unless it is for a head coaching position. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,6004952.story Peace

  11. Well I suppose its time to get this going. For starters we need to confirm who is returning and if anyone from last season doesnt wish to join this year we need to find a replacement. I will also send reminders through yahoo. So for the time being if you were in the league last season just let us know what you plan to do and we can also discuss any rule changes anyone wants to propose. A few people also have a $5 credit towards this season which we will straighten out when we get all our owners. Also, anyone new and interested in a free league let me know and we can organize that, or potentially another pay league with enough interest.

He made two critical mental mistakes (KC and Denver). I'll take Bell over him as a backup. Peace

Congrats to Forte, Urlacher, Briggs, Tillman, and Graham! http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=Am01...pro_bowl_roster Hester the closest snub.

    1. Thank god this travesty of a season is 7 days from being over. 2. Is anyone going to begin to listen to me now when I say it's not even funny to make fun of JA always drafting DE's and DT's? They clearly need help there. Melton and Peppers are the only good players, and even they were MIA today. Toeaina and Idonije suck. 3. McCown was decent enough, I guess. Bell is a keeper IMO. 4. Williams played good today, but he'll be gone next year. I'm still on the fence with Sanzenbacher. Hester is a ST player who has looked like s*** lately (yes, I know he's hurt). 5. Bowman is horrible. For everyone who wanted Jennings out...happy now? Bowman stinks. Oh, a…

  16. Started by jason,

I got to thinking about the draft today, and what the team needs. I figured, the starters have to be determined, don't they? Obvious starters at their current positions are Cutler and Forte. After that, is there one?! The mere fact the question is feasible is serious cause for concern. FWIW, this is how I hope it plays out: LT - Gabe Carimi (comes back from injury and proves he is a stud) LG - Carl Nicks (a massive FA addition for the Bears) C - Roberto Garza (has to do it for one more year) RG - Lance Louis (gets rewarded for effort, moved back to where he is better suited and showed more promise) RT - Chris Williams (finally stays healthy - r…

  17. Started by Connorbear,

If Cutler is not injured, the Bears have already qualified for the playoffs. Clearly, he is the most important part of the offense. No matter how much I like Forte, he is not the center of the offense and can be replaced. The Bears have run the ball very well without him the last 3 games. My point is I would not pay Forte what he is asking for. I would tell him the previous offer is on the table. He can sign that or we will franchise him the next two years. Bottom line, they have to improve the OL and WR core on this team. Someone said in another post that RBs are a dime a dozen. Forte is a very good RB but not an elite RB ala Chris Johnson or Adrian Peterso…

  18. Started by Connorbear,

I would assume not. I would like to see Forte come in for a couple of plays just to get 1000 yards but I don't see any reason to play either of them other than that. Peace
