With all the Fox talk I didn't see this talked about. I hope Pace interviews every possible guy out there, helps get a better feel. Don't want Marrone at all.

It was frustrating watching Kwiatkoski chasing helplessly after Packers' receivers play after play. Seattle's Oline has issues and we should be able to get pressure early and often on Wilson which means he'll be scrambling. Smith's speed is a must have.

So we traded Howard (making $2M) to then sign Davis for $3M a year. However, due to that signing, we lost a 4th round comp pick for the loss of Amos. If we cut Davis by Saturday, the Bears would recoup the 4th rounder and still have the 6th rounder for Howard next April. If Pace is not a complete idiot (jury is still out), then he has to make this move. We could've kept Howard, saved $1M and had a backfield of Howard, Montgomery, and Cohen this year. I like Robert Schmitz' work. Listen to the end when he talks about how important having the right safety to pair with Jackson is. He said rule of 3, and that's true but we also have guys like RRH and Nichols who are capable of some good pass rushes at times as well, just enough to potentially cause havoc.

Some here are hanging their hats on the statement Pace made talking about building through the draft. This has lead me to wanting to re watch it and digest it again after the initial excitement of a new GM wore off. The statement was made about building in the draft for sustained success, and it's certainly understandable to take that quote and run with it, but there's more to it. Looking at the roster this morning. This team is in dire need of talent at S. Then at RG, CB, WR. These are first concerns IMO. S- we have Eddie Jackson, that is it. Deon Bush, Jordan, Lucas, DHC, and Kentrell Brice behind him. RG-This may have been shored up with German "the tank" Ifedi (made that up) and Cowerd. LG we have Daniel's and Corey Levin.
