So I've taken enough potshots at other people's mocks (all constructive criticism, I promise) - I figured it was time to let you guys tee off on two of mine. As a caveat, I used Draft Tek's big board as a reference. Their mocks are suspect sometimes, but their big board is usually pretty good. Each one of my choices is a guy who Draft Tek has projected to be available somewhere around that pick. Williams is clearly the LT of the future, but after a injury-plagued first year, it makes some sense to have him at RT, learning and watching one of the best in recent years man the left side until he's ready to take over. Sounds like the Bears are making a real push.

I thought that this might be interesting. The score today during my lunch had a poll wanting to know if you would give Denver all draft picks to get him. Just so everyone is clear, we have a total of 9 draft picks however the 3 comp picks can not be traded therefore the reason I said the 6 eligible draft picks.

Washington Post I don't want to start any rumors but it could be us if JA is unsure about getting Cutler. I'd love Campbell. He can dink and doink but has a laser. He hasn't been all that great in his career but in his 1st 3 years he's had 3 different coaches. That is tough.

Just wanted to throw out an update I read about Nicks. Parcells and Sporano went to NC to hold a private workout w/ Nicks. That alone is somewhat newsworthy as Parcells rarely travels for such visits. Thus, if you believe Parcells is a good talent evaluator, this may mean something. At the workout, Nicks weight 216, which is 10 lbs less than what he weighed at the schools pro day and w/ in 2 lbs of his combine weight. It was said all along that his injury caused his weight increase, and once healthy, hit again hit the weight room and got his weight back to expectation. I just think it's way too much for me to absorb in one day. It's ridiculous to think that the Bears could feasibly have one franchise QB for the next 8-10 years. Cutler AND Pace?! Wow. Crazy.

I'm soooo looking forward to Game 3 of the preseason. How ironic that we now have Cutler and we play Denver in game three of the preseason, which if I'm not mistaken the game where the starters play into the second half. I bet Jay's got that one circled in fat red sharpe on his callendar.
