http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d8231...o-bowl-wr-lloyd Is this a player that possesses the "talent" many of you describe? I recall him playing in Chicago before. Dude catches just about everything thrown his way.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/...-for-the-bears/ Changes coming for the Bears Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on October 13, 2011, 8:44 AM EDT ReutersIt’s desperation time in Chicago. The Bears were just embarrassed on national television. A loss this week at home to the Vikings would send the season from troubling to nearly hopeless. Expect changes to be made. “We’re not pleased with some of the performances we’ve gotten,” coach Lovie Smith. “I, of course, never talk about changes we’re going to make, especially before we hit the practice field and we talk to the guys.” CSNChicago.com’s John Mullin writes that the Bears will shake up thei…

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/...ain-in-seattle/ No Tim Ruskell first-round picks remain in Seattle Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on October 13, 2011, 11:03 AM EDT ReutersDrafting poorly is the quickest way to sink a franchise. There is little debate over whether Tim Ruskell drafted poorly while he was team president of the Seahawks. Only nine players remain from the 2005-2009 drafts when Ruskell was in charge. The best player among them? Probably Brandon Mebane. Danny O’Neil of the Seattle Times notes that no first-round picks are left from the Ruskell years. Cornerback Kelly Jennings was traded for a roast beef sandwich before the season.…

For the sake of my sanity I'm trying to make lite of this current situation by trying to laugh instead of scream. 1) Frank Omayele to defensive tackle: His anticipating the snap would have him in the opponents backfield on every down. 2) Stephen Paea to offensive guard: Why not he is not playing on defense so try him at guard he may become the next Mark Bortz. 2) Roy Williams to safety: Since he is basically invisible on offense he should help the Bears disguise some of their coverages in the secondary and with his hands he would lead the league inpasses defended. 4)Tyler Clutts to defensive end : He returns to his college position to help spell Pepper…

The Bears have two winable games in the next two weeks with the Vikings and the Bucs. If the Bears win both games, they will have the same record they had last season at week 8. I still don't feel that all hope is lost. When Carimi comes back, Garza and Spencer fill their right positions, something could turn around for this offensive line. Yet, we will still be lacking that #1 WR that we so desperatly need. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4-G1She7Yo

OK, I need to flip the switch a bit and need to vent some positivity. There's a reason we are all Bears fans. Also, there are a lot of things many of us would like to see happen to the current team. I encourage anyone interested to join me in this therapeutic exercise... I'm going to give the five reasons I'm a Bears fan (in no particular order) and give five things that I think the team must do to improve this or next season (that are within the realm of possibility.) Five Reasons I'm a Bears fan: 1. Blood. My family is simply from Chicago. Marquette Park to be exact. 2. The history. There's just too much. From virtually starting professional f…

He needs to sit down with Marinelli and look at these two websites: This is one of the ways in which the Bears' defense gets exposed http://smartfootball.com/passing/how-do-yo...-count-the-ways This is almost exactly how the Lions got their second passing TD: http://www.grantland.com/blog/the-triangle...the-dig-pattern

Well I guess the Lions showed that they have done things right. Crawled out of the slime after 60 years and kicked the Bears ass into it! Not to use a bad cliche but this team got old before our eyes. Anyone who was watching saw the shark get jumperd. OK, I'm done but time to get the draino out and flush everyone, and I mean everyone, down the drain. Starting with the GM and not stopping till you get to, well not stopping. Meaning Cutler and Forte if thats what it takes. They are the only players young enough to maybe keep if after you dump what few player might bring something in return. Sad part is I don't see many players you would get anything for. Other …

1. MadLith- I love your posts, but today is a game that I could make an argument that Hester lost for the Bears. His presence did nothing today. The Bears never got great field position on punts because of him. He would've had a 0 yard catch but instead ran backwards for a loss of 6. He dropped an easy TD. Yes, he made a tough catch, but again, he ran on that kick-off, caught it, and went out at the 6. He's a moron, and if a team wants to give the Bears a 2nd and a 4th for him, be my guest. I'll drive his expensive, wasteful a** to the airport. 2. Is anyone still questioning Cutler now? Dude's a beast. It's a shame his career has come to this. He would've won a Super…

At least Martz did something once upon a time. Tice was the offensive line coach for a Vikings team that never accomplished anything. He was unspectacular as the Vikings head coach and bad as the Jaguars offensive coordinator. The offensive line has, if possible, gotten worse under Tice and Tice has given every indication that this is the group he wanted to go to war with. Part of his job is to prepare the offensive line to perform on game day, and he has shown no ability to do that. Do the players have to perform? Absolutely. But I've seen no indication that he has had any kind of positive impact on this team. Time to clean house, boys. Get rid of Tice…

I honestly feel sorry for him. I wouldn't blame him one bit if he said screw it and walked out on this team.
