Be Passionate, post your feelings and have a few laughs in the process of enjoying what we all should love talking football and about the Bears.None of the people who have administrator next to their names wants to censor anything that anyone says but, if some of the personal stuff continues we will be forced to in the beginning to edit a few posts ( whether its clean up the language or delete personal attacks) or take more drastic measures. Incidently I am not a fan of anything that reduces freedom of speech, but forums have the right to govern what is being transmitted on its site. I like eveyrone's posts whether I agree or not but I respond to the posts most freque…

This O-line debate has me thinking back to the days of when I first started following the Bears and the draft(yes they did have face masks lol) and my earliest memories date back to 1966 and with that being said the Bears have only had one GM since that time who was hell bent on developing the o-line. That was Jim Finks who was considered one of the best GMs in NFL history. Under his watch the Bears drafted 4 OTs number one(Lick, Albrecht,Van Horne and Covert) in a span of about 8 years. After he invested a number 4 overall pick in a little known RB out of Jackson State his first O-line looked like a rag tag bunch with at least 2 castoffs from the defunct World Football …

espn.com's Jeff Dickerson is reporting that Sam Hurd hurt his lower leg in the protion of practice at Bradley-Bourbonnais HS. He tried to continue but it was determined that he should call it a day and spent the remander of practice on a cart with his lower leg wrapped in ice. Of course Lovie downplayed the injury, saying "We have a few guys banged up this time of year, but nothing serious".

Free agent WR from TCU Jimmy Young continued the tradition of carrying a veteran's shoulder pads after practice by performing the task for Roy Williams who was rebuffed by Dez Bryant last year when he asked the then Dallas rookie to do the same thing. To Jimmy Young's credit he felt that it was his duty as a sign of respect and tradition. Since I have basically deemed Sazenmacher(sp?) the underdog of TC I have to give Jimmy Young an honarable mention because that kind of attitude is rare in a WR nowadays and is quite refreshing. He is a real long shot to make the roster but here's hoping he can make the practice squad.

Dan Pompei On the NFL 9:26 p.m. CDT, August 8, 2011 Chicago Tribune - http://www.chicagotribune.com/site/newspap...,6161371.column this is why our GM should have been fired 4-5 years ago and we are in the position we are in now in regards to this 'offensive' line. by neglecting the draft for quality offensive linemen over the last 10 years he has put this club behind the 8-ball with this mind-set. every player he mentions, except tait (who in their collective wisdom they played a very good player out of position nearly his entire time in chicago and wasted his career), was a stop-gap short term player who you bring in when you do have GOOD young linemen …

I just saw on the opening story of PTI that our old QB Kyle Orton doesn't care what the fans think of him and is glad that the fans don't make the decisions. He went on to add that the last thing he is trying to do is to win over the fans on the football field. He is, potentially, the starting QB of an NFL franchise there most likely is said face of the franchise. Do you think he crossed the line here? Thoughts?

First they list the draft and their grades, then the readers' comments, and then FA under all of that. http://walterfootball.com/offseason2011chi.php Thoughts?

If you look at the roster as is I think our DL is going to be a major upgrade over last year. DE- Peppers- dont need to say anything about him DE-Idonije- journeyman-not going to hurt you DE-Wooten- suppose to look much better than last year- good upside DE- Gohlsten- could be that speed rusher were missing DT- Adams- good player DT-Okoye- could be our best FA signing and inside pressure guy DT-Melton- the Bears think he is ready to be the man inside(came in at 262 and is now 295 ) DT-Paea- strongman brute that could be up to speed quickly DT-Toeina- good rotation guy LBs- second on the team with a lack of depth

Looks as though Forte is now considering sitting out some if not all the Preseason games. Can't say as I blame him for the ideas listed (wear and tear and field conditions). The team needs to pull their head out and pay him. He is long term not a short fill. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,2405064.story And if you noticed as a side story, Knox is not happy with losing his "starting" job to Roy Williams. Oh boo hoo cry me a river. If you ran your routes and caught the ball....most times... you wouldn't be having to worry about it. I'm even more happy that they brought in the likes of Williams and Hurd to light a fire under Knox and any oth…

Official Petition to Stop Roy Williams From Doing the First Down Dance | We're bringing attention to a great cause...getting Roy to stop doing that damn 1st down dance, all the while helping charity! I've donated $1.11 in honor of Roy. Good cause, good premise, hopefully the dance is reserved for just touchdowns.

Listening to M&M this morning, the conversation turned to which playoff teams from last year would not make it this year. With that blowhard sitting in for Golic it was one screamer and one pansy with Chicago roots talking about the issue. Both agreed that Chicago will miss the playoffs. Is it because everyone's drinking the Detroit koolaid? Is it because they always overvalue Minnesota? Is it because of the slobbering BJ the media seems to give Green Bay? Or is it simply another notch in the long belt of disrespect the national media seems to have for Chicago sports? Personally, I think it's a little of all of the above, and the fact, FACT, that m…

Rosenbloom has a nice take http://www.chicagotribune.com/site/newspap...0,5420889.story I've been to Family Night (it sucks, but that's besides the point) I'm pissed. How is this possible? The field hasn't been used since July 22 for the stupid soccer game. But it's not ready . . . The Bears have to be accountable in all this. This didn't get cancelled until 5:30. We had nobody there? What an embarrassment. The only silver lining is that people will be pissed off enough to see a change.

http://www.chicitysports.com/2011/08/06/to...-return-duties/ Fantasy wise, this is sick. His offensive production + KR yards/TD's should he have any increase his stock a lot. Knox went to the pro bowl as a rookie for his returns, had a pretty high average.

http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/cate...1-training-camp Joshua Moore in mix to start at corner August, 7, 2011 AUG 7 5:14 PM CT EmailPrintComments 5 By Jeff Dickerson BOURBONNAIS, Ill. -- Don't rule Joshua Moore out as candidate for the Chicago Bears starting cornerback job opposite Charles Tillman. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is pretty surprising, it's the first I've heard that he's even playing well. To be fair they don't even state that he's playing well, only that he's bigger, stronger, quicker, and faster. Definitely one to watch in the preseason games.

http://thexlog.com/201108012214/xtra-point...ng-camp-report/ Interesting comments on Carimi and his run blocking. Conte seems to be playing FS well. Hester is looking good as WR.
