Not starting a rumor...just wondering if anyone here thinks the Bears could take interest. JJ is a young, good corner with ball hawk skills. Anyone out there think we could make a play?

Damn i was getting nervous, feels pretty good to not worry about the CBA. Who will be the first player targeted by the Bears??? Im thinking a DL. I would love a good WR but think it will be a DL. Tell me who you think they will go after first and who you would want them to go after first. Im thinking Cullen Jenkins= only cause there was a bunch of talk about it. I would want them to go after first= WR or OL....let me think about this player for a while and i will get back to you.

Since the Bears arent going to make much of a big splash in FAgency, here my list to upgrade the roster. Dahl/OG-Atl Nasty attitude bodes well for our OL Light/OT-NE Older but could be a bridge to Carmi or Webb on left side . A two year deal Mebane/DT-Sea Ruskin knows well, has big upside Sims-Walker/WR/Jag bottom end of first tier WRs, could be big upgrade over current crop of wideouts Anderson/LB-Car starting to come into his own and still young Marshall/CB-Car He has good stats and can start on this team None of the above will come cheap but none will cost big money. Light is the only one with age.…

http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...ckout-ends.html Will JA be ready to pull the trigger on some of these guys? It will be interesting to see what the Bears get out of the feeding frenzy of free agency this year.

I still think the Bears will sign one of each, if not both, a notable at WR and/or OL. There are too many to ponder at both positions but something tells me that despite all the talk contrary, the Bears will sign a big bodied WR. And of those I have a feeling one of these will be it: Vincent Jackson, Braylon Edwards, Plaxico Burress or yes..I'll say it Randy Moss. I know the last two are troubling off camera but in both cases I think they are set to redeem themselves. And I have NEVER been a Moss fan but something tells me that he might just work out in Chicago.

I know some of you don't rate these guys but for me enough experts reference them & teams use them for it to be a valid reference point https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2011/...sts-and-worsts/ in order to qualify for the study a player needed to have 75 attempted tackles (including sacks) over the past three seasons Defensive Lineman and the Perfect Score With the qualifying threshold of 75 attempts eliminating several players who have gone without a missed tackle in their few chances, only one perfect score remains in the study, belonging to the Bears’ Israel Idonije.

With the owners having just voted to approve the new collective bargaining agreement I though it would be good to have a single thread to cover the various new rules that will be coming out in the next few days from FA, salary cap, rookie salaries, etc. Item 1: Bears Rams Hall of Fame game is cancelled. All teams will have identical preseason practice time and games

Martz interviewed recently claims that the O could be ready in one day if need be for HOF game.He bases his assessment on the fact that they don't really set up game plans for preseason games and it would be basically looking at personnel and correcting things execution-wise. This contradicts Devin Hester's comments saying it would take about a week and a half and is also contrary to the league and the player's associations sense of urgency to try and get a deal agreed upon by the Owner's meeting in Atlanta on July 21. Mike Martz's comments are one reason why some head coaches don't like assistants talking to the media. I still remember his Jay Cutler "Body Lang…

This is a short blurb linked from Forte's twitter account. They both look good, but notice that Forte appears to be pushing harder (I like). http://www.twitvid.com/XHUGT
