I made a comment on a twitter account that claimed Bear fans have anxiety over the speak talk that Amos is better than HaHa. I put out the stats that clearly show HaHa as a splash player. That HaHa was a cheap acquisition 3.5 compared to 9. That HaHa only has to be the 10th best player on a good defense where Amos has to be a savior for a poor defense. I have never had so much attention on twitter. It totally brought out the homeless people living in Wisconsin. Over 60 responses to my statements. They are dumber than I thought. I have always thought Amos was a good player and would have like to kept him, but a cheaper HaHa is more desirable than an expensive Amos. I get H…

We are in the process of buying a house in La Quinta and I wondered where fellow Bear fans go for games in the La Quinta, Indian Wells, Palm Desert CA area. Let me know.

These games do not have me optimistic about our season going forward. Our offense looks even worse compared to some of these other teams. Jacksonville brought in a rookie (Minshew) after Foles went out and is slinging it all over the place. If you didn't know who the players were, you would say without a doubt that Minshew was a veteran compared to Trubisky (if you only watched the GB game). Lamar Jackson? 200+ yards and 4 TDs in first half (Baltimore w/ 42 pts in a half). Mahomes has a 300 yard game (in the first half) with Hill out with injury. Also, in regards to Nagy and the playcalling, it is clear that he is a huge part of the problem. All the successful plays…

Yea it's an overreaction but after all the talking heads saying the Bears D was going to a drop off. Maybe it's the players and not the coach. Maybe he's the one that's going to take a step back.

After three games, it is clear to me that the OL unit rested on the laurels of last year. I'm not concerned because there has been steady improvement from week to week. Daniels will be fine at center once he gets his calls right. Leno looks he didn't work at all in camp, but is battling. Long looks very rusty, hopefully not washed up. My main thought is that Nagy had the entire offensive side of the team not ready for the start of the season. Looks like he's righting the ship weekly.

Oh boy, this was seen as a positive before the season and now looks like a boat anchor on the Titanic. 1. Leno, signed through the 2021 season with cap hits of $3.3M this year, $10.3M in 2020, and $11.3M in 2021. Dead money of over $5M a year makes him borderline uncuttable. Based on what he was earning before this contract, you have to think some of the performance downturn has to do with him getting all this money and getting lazy. His first full contract total earned him just over $2M and he got 7 times that in a signing bonus in his new contract. Feels like a huge overpay now. 2. Massie. For some reason Pace thought it was a good idea to lock him up until he…

A great article, a lot to digest. The Bears didn't bring in any QBs for private workouts. https://t.co/0UtH9OnYKG?amp=1

This sucks. One of the loopholes to the Practice Squads. As long as players are signed to 53-man rosters, you can lose your PS players. We just lost Whyte. Surprised we didn't put Trevathan on IR immediately and brought Whyte up. He was a 7th Round Pick.

Ok, I am not in this camp, but I thought it was at least an interesting discussion. I saw this brought up before. Just seeing the effort from the O-Line and then the receivers on the scramble drills (or lack of effort), is it possible that some of these guys are purposely half-assing it to undermine Trubisky? The O-Line (at least everyone except Whitehair who is Mitch's friend) are getting run over to the extent that it's almost purposeful. They can't be this bad. Leno has never played worse. Massie is huge and can't move a guy 50 lbs lighter than him? Daniels who was a promising interior lineman is literally whiffing at dudes a the LOS. When have you seen all recei…

We're all thinking it, trying to figure out how to fix the team going forward. There are a few obvious plans. One possibility is that they'll fire Pace and let the new GM clean house in every way. This isn't a bad idea at all, and it's probably the most likely one. If you think there is nothing redeemable here, then you're starting over from scratch. It'll take a few years to put it together, especially since we don't have a first round pick this year. So Mack won't be around and in his prime when you finally get it back together, and suddenly you understand what Gruden was thinking and you trade Mack for a couple of firsts to get it going. Except you can't. He …

Ok, so I took a look at the trade values for both of the Bears 2nd round picks and which teams had compatible trade value options based on the picks they had. The options are based on the total value the team would get back, the options are in order of value the Bears would get back, so Option 1 has the most value. For the 43rd pick, it has a value of 470. These were the combination of picks I could see for that pick plus or minus giving up a 7th to make it work: Option 1 - Atlanta (2nd and 4th) 47 ATL - 430 119 ATL - 56 Option 2 - Baltimore (2nd and 3rd) - This one is nice, getting a 2nd and a 3rd. This team is competitive and may want to move up to…

Clearly from our first two picks Pace is drafting to win now. The reason I wanted to draft an OT high is for the same reason. For starters, teams that draft OL early and often generally have a good to great OL. We simply don't find enough time in that slot. Bobby Massie is reaching the age and attrition where he is going to miss games and/or fall off on production. (IE: last year) Then, we move to Charles Leno. Some say it was the wedding. Some say it's the baby. Fact is, he didn't put in the work and basically stole his paycheck last year. He is a marginal athlete which makes his dedication in the weight room essential. You can tell from many of his breakdo…

He was an undrafted free agent that signed with the bears this year. I can't find any articles that show his age. Anyone know is age? Interesting prospect, 6-4 310 LG from Yale. Was an Olympic weightlifter from South Africa and started all 4 years at Yale. Also an all star rugby player. Watched some tape on him and every play he put someone on his back. He is addicted to watching film which should allow him to assimilate to the NFL quicker. He loves football, smart ( Yale degree) and hard worker. Sounds like player that could stick.

Average of $45M a year, $140M in guarantees. I get it, but man. Once this new money hits, how do they field a team worth a damn? Once Wilson's new money hit, he had one WR, no RBs, no TEs, and half a defense. This works out for the team on the 2nd half of the deal, but I would assume the contract is renegotiated year after year until another deal is locked in. A good problem to have, but has this ever worked out before? It seems once a QB gets paid big money, they never win it all again.
