I'm sorry but this team cannot win with a pedestrian QB. I like Orton but 150 yards per game will not work in the NFL. The D is outstanding but they cannot continually bail out an inept Offense. This going to be a frustrating season.. All u have to do is look around the league at teams scoring a bunch of points.

I'm rooting for Orton to do great, but I laughed my ass off at this. If this trend continues I can not see a QB taken in the first round for a long time. His play is everything so far we hoped for. And Tturner calling the plays the way he has is what I remember from his last stint with the Bears. Maybe.

Orton has the attitude for sure. I really think we are witnessing a QB being born right before eyes., this was taken from the Tribs article on holt signing.

Bears QB Kyle Orton spoke with the media on Wednesday, and made two things very clear — he feels fortunate his right ankle injury wasn’t more severe, and he’s not ruling himself out against the undefeated Titans on Sunday. Orton said he will not practice today as he continues rehab. Beyond that, he considers the injury day to day.

One thought on one play that really stood out to me. Orton drops back to pass, and is engulfed by a wave of attackers. Long beats St. Clair and reaches, pushing Orton up in the pocket, but that pocket in general is collapsing. I seriously could not even see him, but somehow he gets a little shuttle pass off to Forte. Forte takes it, then has one hell of a (I believe) 7 yard run after the catch, as he breaks tackles and pushes his way forward. After watching this play again on replay, a thought hit me which as much as anything, defines the difference this year from last. Kyle Orton announced after practice Friday that he will be probable for Sunday's game at Green Bay, meaning the Bears' quarterback will return to the starting lineup after missing one game with a right ankle injury. Orton worked with the first team again in the short practice at Halas Hall and will test out the ankle again Saturday in a brief walk-through before the team travels by bus to Green Bay.
