Former Nebraska CB Alonzo Denard got into a fight outside a bar in Lincoln Neb and pushed and punched a cop who was trying break up the fight.He was rated to go between the 2nd and 4th roundby some scouts. That thud you hear is his draft stock hitting the ground. BTW Is it me or does it seem that most of the defensive players that have character issues as prospect usually don't change on the next level ? Pacman Jones,Tank Johnson,Parrish Cox and Aquib Taleb of the top of my head in recent memory.

Benson has been a total waste which ive preached since the day he was drafted. He's slow, a pussy, has poor work ethic and from what we read his teammates hate his ass. I know the draft is a crap shoot but well have to take the chance hes an instant upgrade to the friggin Bass. And from the other post about him losing a step... wow how much slower could he possibly get. Haha. Well have to shore up the Oline with FA, take some guys who fall into the later rounds. They were just talking about the maturity of mat ryan, and showed the last play he had against us. WOW, I haven't seen that clip since it happened and let me tell you that was a whole lot of B.S. the damn clock doesn't start until he drops back I know it's a moot point, but I can not believe the NFL didn't look into that last play because although it was only couple seconds that didn't come off( and it was clearly obvious in the nfl countdown replay), all they had on the clock was 1 second left that screwed us over! I like the hiring, but it seems like they are replacing Shanny with a much younger Shanny. Both are great offensive minded coaches who are great with QB's and connect with their players. Now, I'm thinking Romeo Crennel as their DC.

Odds of us signing a top type LT in FAgency is slim especially, if we try to resign Melton. SO here are our choices:(no particular order) Max Starks- older but maybe a stop gap for a year Wil Svitek- played well last year, older but maybe a stop gap for a year King Dunlap- a little younger and maybe can last 3 years (not great) but I will accept average at this point Jason Smith- a second player overall bust in 2009, maybe Kroner can bring him up to par ( Im reaching with this one) I think due to his age, Dunlap would be an inexpensive choice, and if he WEBB beats him out, I will have to eat some crow.

I use to bowl in a league once. We had a lot of friends come by and drank. The SERIOUS bowlers asked us to leave the league because we didnt take it serious enough. The point is I try to have fun in almost everything I do. I make comments that are meaningful and sometimes someone will say something that annoys me. So I jack with them. I add serious content to this blog all the time, and sometimes make stupid statements. When I do that I get called on the carpet and have no problem with that. Damn, that is exactly the type of offense the Bears should be running. Mixed in with good defense and special teams, it a recipe for success.

This seems like a match made in heaven. A team has... 1. A troubled locker room and needs a disciplinarian. 2. Plenty of talent. 3. An aging, veteran QB. 4. A bad defense that needs to be turned around by a defensive mind. 5. A new GM looking for a head coach. It would not shock me in the least if Fox gets fired, and immediately gets thrown into the mix as the #1 name for the Giants.

After watching some Monty highlights and offseason work, I really like where our RB room is at. Monty is a true RB1 and then you have Damien Williams as a very solid RB2, Tarik Cohen back, and some fresh speed with Khalil Herbert. I was looking around the league, and it was hard for me to find a comparable group. Most die off after 2-3 RBs. Here are the 5 best groups (not individuals): LV has Jacobs, Drake, Riddick CLE has Chubb, Hunt, ? BAL has Dobbins, Edwards, Hill NO has Kamara, Murray, Montgomery LAR has Akers, Henderson, ? None of the players listed had more yards than Monty last year. Thoughts?

With the Draft at end and Virtually all the FA signings done, This time of year is the worst for news and Bears info. It begins the long days of summer till Training camp. I hope it goes quick.

No Hail Mary here: Hanie in position to be the No. 2 quarterback After Orton returned from his injury I was disappointed he did not regain his earlier form. I thought it was reported he was nearing full recovery from his ankle injury. If that was the case why was his play so bad compared to earlier in the season? In this interview I see he was no where near 100% after returning from the injury. Heck, he is only reported to be about 95% now: I am pleased he is indicating Hanie will get a chance to be the #2. I know this upsets many, but quite frankly, it excites me. I also think we will draft a QB prospect on day 2.
