All the guys we've taken at tall. Some similarlity to Seattle's structure of tall vs small. 6'3" for White, 6'4" for "Oscar" Goldman (sorry had to throw in a Six Million Dallar Man reference for us old guys...), and 6'3" for Grasu I'll be curious to see if this possible trend continues.

We have a lot of smart people on here and read on WINDY CITY GRIDIRON that there are looking for some writers and Bear fans to contribute to their site. I dont have any creditable past moments to think I could contribute but have the desire, but will have to wait until I retire from my job to take a shot at anything like that. BUT is there anybody on here that could contribute to that website? It obviously is not a paying job, but would be somebodies hobby. After Wilson and Wagner deals, Seattle has to clear some cap space. McDaniel will probably sign with a 4-3 team, but he would be a decent pickup to fill the hole made by McDonald (and only a few letters to change on uniform). Could he work as a DE in a 3-4? I expect Poles to do some minor restructuring to give him some additional flexibility in his first year as GM. There are several contracts that he can modify without putting too much money into future years. There are some big ones, but I think only one or two will be considered. Mack, Quinn, Whitehair, and Edwards can all safely be restructured to gain around $10M to this year's cap without putting more than $4-5M on any future cap year, if they need to. Looks like Nagy is back in KC as QB coach. Wonder if this is Reid doing him a favor. As I don’t see any team hiring him to work wit their QBs especially not young QBs that need to be developed. Either way, to go from HC to a position coach is quite a step down.

I really like George Pickens. Like everyone else, I have quite a few WRs I like in this draft. Yet in terms of the ability to go get the ball, where ever it is, I don't think there is a more QB friendly receiver in this draft. He has quick hands and despite tight coverage it's usually one touch and done. I know he's got some learning to do on his routes but that's why we pay our coaches a lot of money. He also doesn't have elite athleticism, at least as he ran at the combine which brings him down a notch from other WRs. When Cliff was running the contract negotiations and salary cap I always liked the fact we had our draft picks signed early. This is just 7 of 11 and i realize rookie salaries are tightly bracketed but this is still a good start. IIRC we also had better FA contracts that were more front-loaded and tended to give us more flexibility later in the deal. A few Bears draftees had some nice RAS scores, which is basically all the measurables. To put it in perspective, Urlacher scored a perfect 10.00 on RAS, man that dude was a beast. So some dude on Bleacher Report writes (use the term loosely) on the 6 teams he is betting on to not hit their win total and that are overrated. He thinks the Bears will not hit 6.5 wins, which may be true but he clearly doesn't know who is on this team or their schedule. So Mooney, Kmet, or Johnson are not established starters apparently.
