The Bears Site is saying Bruce will arrive Wednesday and remain in camp for the entire preseason sessions to help the Bears receivers learning the new offense. Good stuff!

With no pads, it's damn near impossible to grade the lines & defense since they went through the motions. Here's my thoughts on QB's, WR's, and the TE's: 1. The radio guys talked about the all great catches but the secondary was avoiding contact. If you hear the media say, "He made a dazzling one-handed grab" there was typically a safety boring down on the receiver. In live action there'd have been no catch. Our QB's completed like 50 consecutive passes. 2. DA was constantly targeted by Cutler. He made some nice catches where he had to adjust his body and he'd go up and get it. He looks like Andre the Giant next to our other WR's cause they're so short…

Let's hope this type of luck stays in other teams camps " Ravens starting CB Domonique Foxworth suffered a torn ACL in practice and will miss the season.

Chicago has tired of Lovie Smith's happy talk Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on July 30, 2010 10:20 AM ET Bears coach Lovie Smith is unfailingly, unflappably, nice. Much like his mentor Tony Dungy, he rarely has a negative public word about his team. Bears scribes that have watched the team deteriorate into mediocrity the last few years have had about enough of the happy talk after another sunny speech from Smith to open training camp. Melissa Isaacson of ESPNChicago wrote Friday that "Tony Robbins doesn't have a thing on Lovie Smith." Smith was asked what lessons he learned from the last three years. He's trying to forget. "Those years you talked ab…

Just one more day of waiting until we start getting feedback on this years team looks. Who will be this years "surprise" and who will take the disappointment trophy away from Marcus Harrison (if anyone)? Surprise: I'm stuck choosing between the two Corey's (Wooten and Graham) but I'm going to go with Corey Graham. By all accounts he's had an excellent offseason and the speed work he did is paying off on the field. After being cast aside last year he returns this year as a viable CB option for us and gives us some desperately needed depth at this position. Disappointment: Jarron Gilbert. A 3rd Rd pick just a year ago he wasn't ready to see the field. Afte…

Its almost that time of year again so I figured I would start gauging interest for fantasy football. We have our Talkbears keeper league with I believe 9 returning and 1 spot available. I want to get confirmation from everyone in the league before we let new people join. We will also have free leagues for anyone wishing to play. So if you are interested in playing this year please post in this thread and we will see what kind of interest we have and how many leagues we will need.

Damn the Bears are getting hammered in the preseason rankings, not that they mean much, but what are these "experts" seeing that we are not? All indications point to at least some improvement from last year. I was figuring 9-7 or 10-6 was completely reasonable. Don Banks from SI.com has us at #26, behind the likes of Washington, Seattle, and Oakland. He is basically saying we are a 5-6 win team. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writ...mp.3/index.html ESPN has us at #21 which is a little better, but that is basically saying we are the same team as last year. Don't they realize we essentially upgraded 3 spots on the Defense with potential Pro Bowle…

Source: Bears add QB Teel By Jeff Dickerson ESPNChicago.com Archive CHICAGO -- Working with only three quarterbacks for most of the offseason, the Bears opted to add another arm before reporting to training camp next week, agreeing to terms on a deal with free agent Mike Teel, a league source confirmed Tuesday night. The news was first reported by the Bergen Record. After a productive collegiate career at Rutgers, Teel was drafted in the sixth round by Seattle in 2009, and spent last season as the Seahawks' No. 3 quarterback. Teel, who did not play last year, was cut by Seattle in May and claimed off waivers by New England. The quarterback lasted only thr…

In the last couple seasons Hester has focused on weight lifting to get stronger, and IMO it showed on the field as he lost some of his quickness and burst. This offseason he's changing things up a bit and I hope we see that lightning burst that made him so dangerous. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2010/07/he..._ex-rams_g.html "The thing I really did this summer is I cut back on weight training and focused more on conditioning to really get myself an overtime workout," Hester said. "I've got to be able to play six quarters a game. I want to be able to go …

I love how his main point about Cutler was that the team lost 2 more than it did without him. Wow thanks for that deep analysis. Then he compares Peppers to Haynesworth? Seriously? Wow what a comparison. Most posters on here would be better suited to provide some detailed insight about the upcoming season than he does.
