RT @PSchrags: One logical name I've heard for Chicago OC job--Jedd Fisch. Both Cutler and Marshall were very fond of him while in Denver. Good fit in Chi.

The Browns are supposedly shopping him for whatever reason. I understood dealing Richardson for a draft pick because of the position he plays, but Gordon is your star 22 year old WR who's probably going to be better than anything you get for him in return. They're asking for a 2nd round draft pick, but likely will only get a 3rd. You already know I'm going to ask it. Would you give up a 3rd round pick for someone like Gordon? Yeah, the likelihood of the Bears being interested is about slim and none. If they are going to make deals, you'd sooner guess it's for a position of greater need like DT, but the question at hand is would YOU do it? I haven't made up my mind ye…

Profootball focus did a study of the top rated WRs and there catch rate. He tops the list for the last 3 years with a .0315 drop rate. The worst was Roy Williams(thank god he is gone) with .1435 % drop rate. Marshall finished with (in three year span)a .1155%drop rate. He did have shitty QBs in Miami,so I guess we can look for improvement.

I have been watching Bears games for 46 years. The last few years the Press conferences I have watched or read with Lovie were always like watching a valium commercial. But this preseason has been quite different. It appears to me Lovie has taken turn since taking the Defensive play calling. His demeanor has changed, He actually looks to be exited, (at least for Lovie Smith). It also seems that the answers to the question he is asked by reporters are a heap more involved answers and not the same ole "its a process" or "we shall over come" talk. He actually appears to be opening up a bit more and its really nice to see. I dont know if you guys noticed it but I thought I wo…

Round 1. WR-Micheal Floyd: Displayed himself as the best all around WR at the combine. Enough said Round 2. CB-Stephen Gilmore: Great size, speed, and stength Round 3a. TE- Mike Egnew: all the skills we need Round 3b: OG/OT - Kenechi Osemele: 6'6 330lbs. May be long gone. But is very raw and athletic Round 4: LB - Tank Carder: hope he lasts this long Round 5: OG/DT Round 6: OG/DT

So, because of the other thread, here's the official/unofficial offensive line rankings. Simple stuff. Rank the five Bears offensive linemen 1-5 throughout the year. Consider effectiveness, consistency, penalties, sacks, huge plays, leadership, dominance, responsibility, etc. For my money it's probably: 1) Bushrod - Huge problems before this year. Nearly no problems this year. Called on to man the most difficult position, and for the most part dominated. 2) Slauson - Rarely heard anything about him. That's good. An anchor for the OL. 3) Long - Had some rookie blunders, but more than made up for it with crushing blocks and attacks of the second level. 4…

  11. So the Bears have 6 2025 starters that are in the last year of their contracts. Additionally, I believe there are two players under contract for 2026 that will be likely cap casualties. That makes 8 holes for 2026. You can't fix everything in FA, and in one draft, so knowing Poles, he is looking at this now. First are the cut candidates, I think Swift and Edmunds will be gone, that would save $22.5M against the cap for 2026 with limited dead cap. RB - Swift - cut candidate, $7.5M cap savings, $1.3M Dead LB - Edmunds - cut candidate, $15M cap savings, $2.4M Dead The other 6 are listed here: DB - Gordon? DT - Billings? LB - Edwards? OT - Jones? S …

http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/vid...78-17680b4c6f88 The Bears are saying this is Pace's show. I believe that to be true. I have zero faith in George and Ted to make any football decision and that is who Pace looks to for support. It wont change anytime soon unless Pace and the new HC royally freak this up. Ted and George already hosed up the Emery Era, if the Pace era doesn't get better the only thing George can do is fire Ted Phillips and completely restructure the Front office. Ive never disliked a Pro Teams President as much as Ted Phillips. I like George, he seems to really care but freak Ted Phillips.

Just taking a quick run through in a draft sim (thedraftnetwork) and I run into this scenario at 37. Safety is a need and Battle at this spot is a consideration but I'm not crazy about that option because I think there will be good safeties available later in the draft. Emerson I like as a CB but if Graham plays well then this need drops a bit and then we're looking more for an inside NB talent versus someone who can play outside. You can find that type of CB later in the draft. I don't like Bell and think he'll drop after the combine because everyone catches him in all of his highlights. He's quick and shifty and I think he'll be a productive slot WR but ide…

Football is an entertainment business. Judging by the empty seats it is not entertaining and not a very good business. I heard estimates of 11k empty seats. Soldier field is the 5th most expensive stadium that has a fan index rate of $557.18 (4 tickets ((avg price)) two small beers, four hot dogs, program, and two adult caps). That means that there is roughly 2750 units that can be associated with that index. So with that loss last night the bears potentially lost over 1 million in ticket sales and revenue from vendors. Now I know a lot of those empty seats are from ticket holders. But this is a trend you don't want starting. Vendors feel it, restaurants and bars …
