The Chicago Bears rookies, report to training camp next week, July 16. Veterans follow on July 19. This is were the pen and paper dreams unfold into reality and the real excitement begins. There is still some offseason business that needs to be finished by next week, like signing Caleb and Rome, so expect that to be the buzzer to welcome the fans of the start. There will be battles for positions won and lost. A player or two will emerge unexpectedly and some new names mixed in as they get looks at the roster. What will you be watching for as this new era begins?

The Bears have a lot of cash left and the choices are dwindling. WR is a huge need. Why aren't the Bears linked to Michael Floyd? I'd love to see him replace Jeffery.

Yea he has been out of the league a few years but I guess he had some great workouts for Andy Reid...wonder if he was ever a thought

Finally people on the field and hopefully it lasts the whole season. It would be easy to be negative in my assessment of a full season but to happy to see its not called off.

I have ever seen. There were plenty of chances to get back into that game. We finally make it into the redzone, two piss poor sacks takes us out of field goal range. Then we get pinned back on the 1 yard liine down 24-3 in the third and they give up a safety. It started out hosed up and just kept getting worse. I hope this game was a wake up call. If they dont come out at home against the Packers with fire shooting out of their asses I'll probably lose it!!!

IMHO we can be the Colts next week if we do two things on offense and one on defense. On offense if we can run the ball and control the clock we stand a great chance of winning .....due to the way the Colts are built. They don't have the massive line up front, they use lighter speed guys similar to what we have so they can be blocked out of plays. So if we pound the ball inside and use the 2 TE set we can run on them to the outside. Secondly their corners and LB are not speed guys so we can get Olsen/Davis underneath open and Bradley/Hester/Lloyd open on deeper routes. Also with their speed up front screens and draws will kill them. Not to mention that Sanders and Freene…

I believe there may be a run on offensive linemen therefore we trade our first to whichever of Ari, Buff, or Jax who I believe will be trading up in the to get either Smith or Glennon. So I was checking out the depth chart and stumbled upon WR Chris Williams...I thought to myself who??? This clearly bled over into this week. I think Lovie was concerned with not have timeouts at the end of the game two weeks in a row and held back on challenging the qb sneak. Also, can anyone tell me why the ball was spotted on the 1 after the Bennett play. It was clear that even if he didn't get in the endzone it should have been on the 1 foot or in line. Thoughts? I have zero faith in George and Ted to make any football decision and that is who Pace looks to for support. It wont change anytime soon unless Pace and the new HC royally freak this up. Ted and George already hosed up the Emery Era, if the Pace era doesn't get better the only thing George can do is fire Ted Phillips and completely restructure the Front office. Ive never disliked a Pro Teams President as much as Ted Phillips. I like George, he seems to really care but freak Ted Phillips.

Who is our KR/PR going into this season? Kind of odd seeing Hester and Weems on Atlanta's stat sheet.
