Bearstalk

Ok.. not Bears related, but we had a discussion at work about college bye weeks. Do the conferences determine the bye weeks for each team? We noticed some teams always have a bye week before facing each other, and some are just random.

Cutler is a moron. Has almost 12yards of open field in front of him. Coulda just run for a a few or even score. No, whip it at Johnny Knox who has 3 guys in front of him...

Bears rumoured to be being lined up for the HOF game if it goes ahead. Gives us an extra week of camp to make up for whats being lost

So far: Jager Burton/ center Kayden McDonald/ NT Zion Young/ edge De'Zfaun Stribling/WR Jimmy Rolder/ LB Seth McGowan/RB Antererio Washington/DT Max Iheanachor/RT Brian Parker/OL/C Dan Villari/TE James Brockermeyer/center Jimmy Rolder/LB This is all I can find so far. Anyone know of anyone else? It has been reported that they only bring in players that they have questions about. Then decide if they don't or do want them. It has been reported that every pick we took last year came in for a visit. Also they are not required to report all visits and tell some agents not to talk about it. Local school and Chicago people get to come in that don't get applied to the 3…

Alright - lets this be a draft we look back on as one that built upon the initial foundation to send this franchise to sustained excellence! Lets go!

Here's my view for the day. Sitting with the Michigan parents. And got to talk to coach. I told him I wished he was our coach. "They didn't want me"

A couple interesting things from last nights practice. 1) Lance Louis got the start at RT. While Tice said he just "wanted to give him some more work" this is a a pretty good sign he's standing out in practice and the coaches wanted to see how he'd handle a little more pressure (Soldier Field, night lights, 26k fans). 2) Garza started at LG for us. 3) Olsen continues making plays downfield in this offense. 4) Peppers is just dominating our OTs. By all accounts he's working hard and I'm beginning to think we're going to see a really strong season from him. 5) Tommie Harris practiced and it didn't make the news. Very nice (in the se…

The interesting thing is the trades we made Trade: #12 pick, 2nd in ’15 and 7th in ’15 for Bears #7 pick Trade: #18 pick, 3rd in ’15 and 5th in ’16 for Bears #12 pick and 6th in ’15 with the picks: #18- #18 – Chicago Bears (f/KC) – Alvin Dupree – DE – Kentucky This team has the look of entering a rebuilding phase. For that they need draft picks, which is why they traded back. The Chicago Bears stop to scoop up Alvin Dupree who is a gifted pass rusher that can become a complete defensive end if he gets stronger. #39 – Chicago Bears – Denzel Perryman – ILB – Miami (Fl.) Undersized but good range with keen instincts, hitting ability an…

I think the three signing w have so far are going to bring a new attitude to the team...with McPhee saying he is violent and Rolle and Royal being hitters (Rolle) and playmakers (Royal) things are looking up!! Now do we sign the Chiefs Parker...as he has played CB as well as safety and could be that nickelback we need with his 4.3 speed

It is impossible to know how he'll perform once the pads go on but looking at the practice photos of Cornelius Washington he has bulked up quite a bit for his new role at DE. He made some noise last year in pass rushing drills early in camp before his injury. http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/pho...72-3dcb23fcef47

No one knows how the Bears view the top players, there are so many so called draft experts that it can be confusing to actually figure out the actual value. If we go by Paces own words , we have to assume he goes with BPA. top ten big board: 1- Myles Garrett-no brainier here 2-Soloman Thomas- has been moving up and would be our Justin Smith if we could get him 3-Johnathan Allen- He was considered the consensus #2 going into the Combine but even with the concern over future arthritic shoulders, he will not slip much 4-Jamal Adams- a future all pro 5-Marshon Lattimore- the highest rated CB in the draft 6-Malik Hooker- He would be tow…

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=161747 http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/...player?id=12297 Still wish it woulda been later and id also rather have had Kevin Smith. Also, i hate to see the injury prone shit, then again Benson never missed a snap at Texas. Check out the fumbles column as well.

"dude, do not let that RB or TE out of your sight"

I would assume that the old adage applies here; "no news is good news" but just wanted to see if any of you "locals" had heard anything more on Urlacher's status and his calf. Would figure that it shouldn't affect him too much but these days, who knows? I say keep him out for the rest of Preseason, regardless. Let Roach get some more reps in.

Ok for those of you who have been to games at Soldier Field recently I have some questions. Dad and I are still planning on going, and I picked up a regulation clear plastic bag that meets the 12x6x12 size limit. The items I'm considering bringing: 1 small Sony camera with extra batteries and memory cards 1 larger Sony camera with a telephoto lens that is under 6" so it meets the guidelines. Several AA batteries and memory cards 1 backup battery for my cell phone. 2 ponchos (if it looks like rain in the forecast) 1 small blanket (possibly) Since your not allowed to bring a camera case, can the cameras, batteries, and cards be stored in the cle…

Haha jk.... but I love that guy

Despite the horrible Cutler news, the recent news that Mannelly has a torn ACL isn't much better. per everyone

I expect the Bears to make a huge turnaround this year. Worse to first? Probably not. But they are going to be a first class contender. BETCHA! With that in mind, Poles' asst. GM, Ian Cunningham, will have a lot of suitors as a GM. Young, Great Resume, Checks all of the boxes teams will be looking for in a progressive GM. This leads me to bring up the new NFL incentive launched last year. So if I'm correct that would give us 2 additional 3rd round picks for Poles to use in his rebuild.
