I know our running game was owning, but we can't run on 3rd and 5+ so many times. I was having 2005 QB on a leash flashbacks. When they actually let Kyle throw on crucial plays, he did a nice job and I want to see more of that in the future. I want to see if he can do what he did on those plays consistantly. As of now, I'm not sure he can win a game in which our running game can only sqeak out 65-80 yards. Also, even though it worked, I HATE THE FB DIVE! The only time I want the ball in Mckie's hands is a checkdown in the flats or a fumble recovery. Speaking of fumbles, has Kreutz been the problem this whole time? In closing, I CANNOT WAIT to see Til…

  3. I am surprised the Bears are favored by almost a FG, which implies 5.5 pts on a neutral field. I am assuming they don't think Daniels is playing. The Bears will need to stop the run and take away McLaurin. This is going to be a tight game, probably decided by a turnover or a dumb call by the refs. I am going Bears 24-21.

  4. Strength vs Strength. Minnesota Running Attack vs Chicago Run Defense. If Dalvin Cook goes over 100, we lose. If we can shutdown the run game, we have a great chance at creating turnovers. This is going to be an ugly game. I think it is going to be close and come down to a turnover or big special teams play. Bears 17-13.

  5. This is going to be an extremely interesting matchup. Baltimore has the #1 Rushing Offense in the league, but their leading rusher is Jackson. On the flip side they have the worst passing defense in the league allowing 283 yds per game. Foles or Dalton as the Scout Team QB (playing as Jackson) is really going to prepare our defense well lol. Mack hasn't played in almost a month and was still not practicing on Wednesday. Hicks was out, Jackson was out. Trevathan was out. ARob was out. I am hoping this was more of extended rest to get them closer to 100% than anything else. If the Bears can contain Mark Andrews and limit the huge chunk plays to Brown…

  6. Schefty reporting that some of the rumors out there regarding Roquan and a car accident are false. However, Schefty is reporting that Roquan was not himself at practice this week. Hope whatever Roquan is going with, he gets whatever help he needs / can get things back in order.

We all read mocks and criticize the so called pros who post them. Here's a chance to showcase your thoughts on who teams will draft. I'd like to see your opinions on how the draft will pan out. 8. It's here! 5 days from kickoff. Who's pumped up? This is the most excited I have been for a season to start in a long time. This team has one of the best rosters and coaching staffs in the NFL. We have guys fully healthy (Robinson, Miller, Long, Floyd, Shaheen), with up and coming stars (Smith, RRH, Nichols) and fresh blood (Montgomery) to go with a stacked roster of Pro Bowlers. I can't see the Bears losing this one. GB and Rodgers in a new system while the Bears are in Year#2 with Nagy and Co. Montgomery is going to shine. Bears have too many weapons on offense and beasts on defense. The Bears are only favored by 3, which means Vegas sees these as even teams.…

Well....this is the question that lurks in all of our minds... We have all suffered through defeats and losses...waiting since 1985/1986 for a Super Bowl..... So...what say you, learned friends, about how we will do this year? One can never predict injury....but. I say, if we stay injury free, or relatively, we will definitely be NFC Champs. And...if Cutler steps up and shows his best, we might just be able to hit the big one!

For some time, I have wonder if many of the problems we have on the team center around a simple lack of talent, or inability of the coaching staff. More than in recent past, I seem to be reading articles talking about how we run camp, which just really puts a focus on our coaches. For example, for years I have seen our players exhibit some very questionable tackling. Then I read about how we do not really allow our players to tackle, or to finish tackles, in camp. Its more like we practice flag football in camp. The point was made, how can you work on tackling technique when you are not allowed to tackle? But for this, what I am curious about is the OL. Against…

I've never seen a guy quit on his team like I'm seeing from Jay tonight. Sure, the line is playing poorly but close to half the sacks thus far are purely ON JAY. Probably more. And his body language is totally unacceptable. If I were Lovie I'd bench him. Roll him out, go to shorter drops. Jesus, this isn't rocket science!

I've thought all along round #2 was the perfect spot for a 5 technique. We struck gold their with Goldman last year and the draft is much deeper. On a side note, Atlanta and Oakland both made deep reaches at safety in Neal and Joseph. i don't know what to think of that, but it helps the Bears in solidifying the defensive front.

  17. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,1753860.story Stunning what has happened to this guy. He was on top of the world after beating the Trojans and winning the national title. Than in his rookie season he comes in and finds a way to lead his team to like 6 wins in 7 games. Now he's a complete mess and it looks like psychologically he's all messed up. It makes me wonder what would have happened to Young if he played in Chicago and had to deal with what Rex did. In fact, gives me a bit more of an appreciation for Rex. Rex clearly didn't make it as the QB we thought of, but he always had a good attitude and gave it his all and is again trying h…

  18. TB allowed the fewest rushing yards in Week 1. The Bears had the 6th most. TB's offense was not good, but they still won due to MIN turnovers. The turnover battle is going to be the key to victory. Both teams scored 20 pts, so that seems like a fair number for the winning team. With TB winning in Week 1, and Mayfield not throwing an INT, I think the Bears have a chance to win this one. They almost couldn't have played any worse than they did in Week 1. With KC looming in Week 3 as an auto loss, this really is an early season must win, now more than ever considering what happened on Sunday. If they don't wash that stink off now, I don't know if it…

One of the better Olines in the NFL, and how was it built? LT, Joe Staley- 6 years exp.-28th player chosen. LG,Iupati-3 years exp.-43rd player taken. C, Goodwin-11years exp.-FA from NO RG, Boone-3 years exp.-Undtrafted FA- projected as a RT RT, Anthony Davis-3 years exp.-11th player taken-Drafted as a LT The point to all of this is 2 #1 draft picks, 1 2nd, one UDFA, and a FA. Staley,Iputai, Davis started from day 1. Boones first year starting and Goodwin has started 5 years of his 11 year career You have to have high drafts pick that make it play on your line, SF has 3. Then you can fit in a couple around him. For us, if we drafted right…
