Kinda of slow now but I think June will bring some minicamps that will get the ball rolling. Seen an article on BearsWire on changing of the guard. Old starters:( end of year) new starters Floyd---------Quinn Prince -----Johnson HaHa---------- Gibson Coward----- IFEDI, Bars Burton------ Graham- Komet Kwit--------- Trevathan MT----------- Foles Williams ----- Hicks Gabriel ( 3rd wr)---------- ? Ridley, Ginn, Wims Lynch ( 3rd edge) Gibson If you look at the old and new starters, you would have to say the new group is a great deal better. Also take in consideration of breakout players like Daniels,…

http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/vid...78-17680b4c6f88 The Bears are saying this is Pace's show. I believe that to be true. I have zero faith in George and Ted to make any football decision and that is who Pace looks to for support. It wont change anytime soon unless Pace and the new HC royally freak this up. Ted and George already hosed up the Emery Era, if the Pace era doesn't get better the only thing George can do is fire Ted Phillips and completely restructure the Front office. Ive never disliked a Pro Teams President as much as Ted Phillips. I like George, he seems to really care but freak Ted Phillips.

No one knows how the Bears view the top players, there are so many so called draft experts that it can be confusing to actually figure out the actual value. If we go by Paces own words , we have to assume he goes with BPA. top ten big board: 1- Myles Garrett-no brainier here 2-Soloman Thomas- has been moving up and would be our Justin Smith if we could get him 3-Johnathan Allen- He was considered the consensus #2 going into the Combine but even with the concern over future arthritic shoulders, he will not slip much 4-Jamal Adams- a future all pro 5-Marshon Lattimore- the highest rated CB in the draft 6-Malik Hooker- He would be tow…

With the unexpected retirement of Dalman, the Bears lost 5 of their top 9 players in snap count, and 6 out of the top 11. Those 6 were all starters. Then they also lost what I would call 4 key contributors, players with a significant number of snaps. Here is a quick rundown of the losses and gains so far and how I think they will address them: ADD/SUB LIST STARTERS: 1. C Drew Dalman (1154+15) >>> C Garrett Bradbury. On paper, a downgrade, but it may actually be a pass pro upgrade and run block downgrade) 2. S Jaquan Brisker (1072+90) >>> With the biggest contract put into Bryant, I assume they draft a Safety in the first 3 rounds and sign a vet or two …

Below I've posted the blog from profootballtalk.com that says Dante Stallworth is getting no interest. That's awesome. It means that either: a) FA WR's like Berrian won't command HUGE $$$'s, and If Berrian walks, it's one more guy the Bears could get to replace him. NO MARKET FOR STALLWORTH A league source tells us that there's little or no interest on the open market for receiver Donte' Stallworth, whose tenure with the Patriots is ending after only one season. A year ago, Stallworth was believed to be one of the hottest free-agent receivers on the market. After languishing on the shelf while the big money flowed, Stallworth signed a long-term …

Bears | Tillman's status for Week 1 uncertain Comment (0) Thu, 10 Sep 2009 07:18:55 -0700 Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports it is not known if Chicago Bears CB Charles Tillman (back) will be allowed to play in the team's Week 1 game. CB Zackary Bowman is expected to take his place in the starting lineup if Tillman can't play.

  10. This clearly bled over into this week. I think Lovie was concerned with not have timeouts at the end of the game two weeks in a row and held back on challenging the qb sneak. Also, can anyone tell me why the ball was spotted on the 1 after the Bennett play. It was clear that even if he didn't get in the endzone it should have been on the 1 foot or in line. Thoughts? Peace

The ESPN jock ask's Angelo about the ongoing dispute with Brian Urlacher "Is Brian Urlacher holding a gun to your head?" Angelo's response is, "if he is, it's filled with water." Sounds like Urlacher will just have to make do with what he's got!!

Surprised no one said anything about this. I know it's fun to play monday morning GM, and for many years (decades!) it's actually been possible that we knew better than the actual guys at Halas Hall making the decisions. And for a professional sports franchise, that is actually insane. I am glad to say that we are now many levels below the decision makers for the Bears, and the entire league sees what a great job he's done. https://www.chicagobears.com/news/pace-receives-nfl-executive-of-year-award

  14. This weekend, I played GM for the Bears in an online 7 round mock draft. Here's what we ended up with: 2) Rashad Johnson, S, Alabama - With Robiskie gone, this was a pretty easy decision, as I didn't want to reach for Iglesias or Massaquoi. 3) Brandon Tate, WR, North Carolina - A bit of an injury risk, but the best potential of any WR left, although I considered Jarret Dillard as well. 4) Henry Melton, DE, Texas - A guy the Bears appear to like a lot with the speed they are looking for off the end. 5a) Gerald McRath, LB, Southern Miss - Not on my radar really, but the highest rated player on the board for me with the versatility and speed at LB the Be…

DE- Houston, Bass DT- Paea, Collins, NT- Ratliff, DE- Young, Lane, Scott OLB- Briggs, Greene OLB- Shea, MLB- Williams, Bostic, CB- Jennings, Frey CB- Hayden, S- Conte, S- Mundy Fill in with what ever guys Im missing. I put in Bold the guys that I think are at least proven vets. When I look at this depth chart it still looks really weak. We are short handed on all three levels, Line, Backers and DB's.

Reportedly needs surgery on his hamstring. Given our lack of depth at the CB position, this is a big blow. On the bright side, Frey apparently has been having a great training camp. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...,0,324278.story
