So let's say we're sold on Trubisky. I'm not completely 100%, but I see potential. Nonetheless, this class is LOADED. At what point do you consider drafting a guy if he slips? I've seen mocks where guys like Josh Allen slips to the third, and Baker Mayfield slips to the fourth, which would be unbelievable to me. I'd say the third or fourth round is when the Bears should start considering the QB position. Regardless of depth, the QB position needs to be considered every year until a stud backup is acquired.

It looks like a dislocated patella, which may also mean a torn ligament (depending on severity). If the ligament is torn, it will require surgery as the knee cap will move around and be very unstable. If he has surgery, he will be out for 8-10 weeks at a minimum. If no torn ligament, he can come back with a brace in a few weeks. He was hurt on a simple QB sneak too, but he couldn't bend his leg. The Madden Curse is for real. You hate to see injuries to any player, but this actually hurts the Bears as KC plays GB next week, then MIN the following week. I had my fantasy draft in my 15 year old 12 team league. Needless to say, my buds are experienced and ruthless competitors. Anyway, they dogged my draft strategy this year, while I thought I was ahead of the curve. Here are my starters: QB_CUTLER WR_MEGATRON, FITZGERALD FLEX_DWAYNE BOWE RB_GORE, ISAAC REDMAN TE_JIMMY GRAHAM K_WHO CARES D/ST_BEARS, BILLS I'm weak at running back, but loaded at the receiving, flex, tight end, d/st and qb. After some of the initial signings came in, it was clear that the Bears had a hard stance on overpaying and were not going to budge on value, regardless of the player or need. I assumed we would pay whatever it took to bring in some of the top FA's, but after each signing, it was clear what that the Bears were not going to give out long term deals that would hurt the club in the long-term. We are currently in full rebuild mode. Any free agent now is just a gap filler as we replenish through the draft, but we have to understand we are still 2-3 years away from competing realistically. So Gordon got completely shredded last night on multiple plays (no help from Jackson on one of them), but the alternative in the 2nd Round was a WR. There were 6 WRs selected after Gordon in the 2nd Round (and before Velus Jones).
