Tommie has a huge bonus due (6.67 million) at the beginning of the NFL yr (I think that is March 1st). Going to be interesting to see what they do. I imagine they pay it this time but if he doesn't show improvement next yr he is probably gone. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...earnt30.article Peace

"We are thrilled to announce we are expecting our first child together," the couple told People. "It's an amazing time in our life and we can't wait to meet the new addition to our growing family." IF we draft Caleb Williams, odds are the Bears bring in a veteran backup QB. Bagent was okay in 4 games but Getsy babied him with 250 WR screens in those games. All quick throw routes so he didn't have to hold the ball to long. I think they bring in a vet to backup Williams, so who? Here's a article giving the top 10 FA QBs. I think it will be Drew Lock who played under Waldron in Seattle last year. What say you? https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/best-free-agent-quarterbacks-in-2024-ranking-the-top-10-projected-value-team-fits/ar-BB1iBagE

I think there will be a run on OL in the first part of the draft, and a few QBs. SO I think these will be our choices for our pick; Te'o/LB overall ratings on two sites; 10th and 16th Ogletree/LB overall ratings on two sites; 12th and 29th Etrz/TE overall ratings on two sites; 24th and 32nd Cooper/OG overall ratings on two sites; 20th and 23rd so who do you take with that first pick? It we take the best player available it (I hate to say it) would have to be Te'o, if we go by greatest need Cooper/OG a starter caliber from day one. or the best TE in the draft(also a need) I would still take Cooper because the talent at OLi…

Haven't seen this discussed anywhere but PFT, but what is the sense in Chicago? Was Urlacher just joking that he didn't want the Bears to win this year without him? http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/...owl-without-me/

ABOUT LAST NIGHT: Cutty had his Jimmy Mac moment lowering his shoulder into the DB! Loved it! Hated it! But it all ended well. OVERALL POSITIVES: 1. We still have an opportunistic D. We are generally bending, but not breaking. Other than the odd big play, we seem to do fairly well keeping folks out of the end zone. 2. I'm thrilled with the OL! We went from awful to good. That's huge. Super huge. Ultra-mega huge. 3. Forte, Marshall, Jeffrey, and trhe Bennetts are getting the job done, and done well. The Unicorn has been a big big plus. I expected the WR's and RB's to look good, but wasn't sure about the Unicorn. I'm very pleased. 4. Cut…

From https://overthecap.com/compensatory-draft-picks-cancellation-chart/ it looks like we'll be earning three 6th Rd, and one 7th Rd comp picks next year. We signed KPL and Nick Williams last year as player nobody expected anything from yet both played well enough for their new deals to earn us comp picks. Chicago Bears Compensatory Free Agents Lost: 5 Compensatory Free Agents Gained: 1 Name Rd. APY Rank Name Rd. APY Rank Nick Kwiatkoski 6 $7,000,000 320 …

So, as I start cooking our goodies for the game today wondering who everyone is pulling for ? I’m rooting for the Chiefs, I really like Mahomes and can’t wait to witness what his future holds. I’m obviously jealous of all these teams with such talent at QB. Hope you all enjoy the game, I know I will.

If anybody has watched GB, I think we can sympathize with their o line woes. Rodgers has been sacked more than twice as many times as Cutler yet GBs offense is ranked 11th while we're at 21. Rodgers is enjoying another great year stats wise Why? Because the guys in GB knopw how to maximize the talent they have. They are making that offense go by playing to the strengths of their players. What are we doing? Trying to make all our guys fit into Turners little box. Look, we can't fire our o line and we can't kill them but we can start using our other personnel better. Instead of having Cutler move around in a closing pocket, MOVE the damn thing. Let him roll out and thro…

Watching the game highlights cuz I worked through the whole game, Inoticed the right side of the line was ravaging the Bengals. In every pass they showed on NFL network, Long handled atkins no problem and Mills was a beast with Malalugua . I think this tandem could be start of lots of time Cutler. Am I wrong?

I'm surprised to know that Steve Smith is a UFA. Did anyone here know this? Granted, he suffered a bad leg injury in December, but s***, he can play.

http://www.chicagobears.com/news/article-1...ea-216894c57228 I am liking what I have been hearing about him in camp. He might have a good solidifying effect on the younger Defensive line players.

Forgive me, but what you about to read is purely conjecture. I am concerned about Mooney. Over the course of the off season, we read on numerous accounts how much time he and Justin spent together running routes. Fast forward to training camp and we have a rash of reciever injuries. Mooney never was on the report, but he did have to pick up the slack. While many 4, 5, 6 and 7th receivers are used for their camp legs, we did not have that luxury. We had to use our #1, giving Mooney a lot of extra reps in practice and all three exhibition games. Also, what role did Eberflus' "always hustle" mantra play into this? You know where I'm going. His legs look tire…

On looking at our current roster, who are the blue chip players? Here's my list.... Wright, Jenkins, Kmet, Moore, Allen, Williams, Sweat, Dexter, Stevenson, Johnson, Gordon and Brisker. I'm counting twelve. Polian says 14. We are getting close. If we hit at nine, it's 13 possibly. Maybe 14 will develop under the radar. IMO, 13 is a shock. Very cool future for our team...
