Bearstalk

With 16 slots, it will be interesting to see how many outside players they sign. The Bears didn't claim anyone on the waiver wire, so all the external signings will technically be free agents.

I'm just gonna throw this out there but I'd love to see Vedvik signed to our practice squad. I'm not so sure it would help Piniero with his confidence but it would help me with my confidence. Others I'd like to see added: 2) Horsted 3) Bunting 4) Fitts...see if he can finally work his way into shape. At some point you'd think the embarrassment of being pushed all over the field by TEs week after week would motivate a guy. OTOH it might not be hard to find a better PS candidate at OLB than Fitts. 5) Nall...keep the clydesdale in the stable just in case. 6) Michael Joseph...he's improved a lot over last year but still has a ways…

http://www.chicagobears.com/news/article-1...84-567390934bab Well now we know who the Bears liked and kept on the p squad. QB Johnson is a wonder,

Fontel Mines, TE CHI News: The Bears announced Sunday which players they signed for their practice squad. The players are as follows: DE Ervin Baldwin, LB Joey LaRocque and TE Fontel Mines. Analysis: The Bears still have three open practice spots. These players will not see the field on Sundays during the regular season and should be avoided in Fantasy.

PS signings (looks like 13 names, but only 12 slots, someone is not making it or changed their minds): OL Caden Barnett OL Kyle Hergel WR Kaden Davis WR Scotty Miller WR J.P Richardson TE Stephen Carlson RB Salvon Ahmed RB Zavier Scott (from MIN) DE Marcus Davenport LB Wayne Matthews DB Deantre Prince DB Marlen Sewell OT Christian Jones (from ARZ) Lynch and Sanborn also resigned and should go back on the 53-man roster.

Looks like all the guys cut, made it back http://www.chicagobears.com/news/article-1...e1-168b9dac6fc5

Hurst is back and on the PS. Bears added Deonte Thompson who looks somewhat intriguing for those who aren't fans of Mariani. 4.31 speed, filled in as kick returnee for Jacoby Jones in Baltimore. Bruce Callahan and Ify Somethingorother are gone.

So I went looking around and I found the Sports Illustrated scouting report on James Marten, the tackle we just signed off the practice squad: And from War Room Report: Also I found some reports from Cowboys beat writers - the consensus seemed to be that Marten looked pretty good at tackle, but he couldn't get on the active roster because Doug Free from NIU was a surprise hit (he's now their starting RT,) and Dallas' other active backup had to be able to play both guard and center, whereas Marten only plays tackle and guard. I imagine there are a lot of tackles in the league who wouldn't have been able to get playing time over Flozell, Colombo, and Fr…

Is this the Jordan Lynch rule??? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300000038...s-to-10-players Peace

Looks like Gabriel, Nichols, and Larsen all practiced today. Trubisky threw and did not have a pitch count, so that's a good sign. Nagy didn't have much on Hicks, so I am assuming he is gone until mid-December at the earliest. Long definitely confirmed to be on IR for the season.

I heard Adam Jahns on Silvy and Waddle today talking about how Ben Johnson has been vocal and exacting on the field with the team. If you didn't hear it, he recounted a story where Caleb got through 5 reads, and finally dumped it off to Roschon Johnson on a swing pass, and he got a first down, maybe closer to 15 years on the play. But Johnson wasn't happy. He watched Caleb go through the progression, and yelled "FASTER" at Caleb in the middle of the rep. He felt one of the earlier reads was open for a better outcome, and Caleb was too slow getting to him, and he ended up covered. Gentlemen, THIS is what we've been waiting for. More than anything else. A coach wh…

Phil Emery's pre combine speech gave a little insight on this draft. He is looking to trade down, he is looking for a young defense, he wants to stop the run, and he wants a defense that can score. He learned his lesson on undersized D-Lineman, he is giving Conte another shot, he wants to resign Garza, Tillman, DJ Williams, and Wootton. Since Phil is looking to trade down, I found a trade partner with Miami at 19. We acquire 1-19, 3-81, and 5-143, which equals out in the trade value chart. 1-19 Kony Ealy DE Missouri 6'-5" 275 A lot of updside, has all the tools to develop into a premier DE in the NFL. 2-51 Jimmy Ward SS Northern IL 5'…

Is Arthur Brown the only one so far that has been reported to have a pre draft visit? I cant remember seeing any other names posted. Anybody have anybody else?

If this doesn’t get you ready, I don’t know what will. Nicely put Mitchell... “Time to go to work”

Denver Washington @ NY Giants @ Cleveland Cool schedule. Peyton Manning and RG3 coming to Chicago, and they'll go to Eli's house and play in Cleveland who will have the 4th overall pick.

Trade our 2010 1st rounder and our 2009 4th rounder to Arizona for Anquan Boldin. We, then, give him a 5 year, $52 million deal. 1. Duke Robinson, OG, Oklahoma 2. Tyson Jackson, DE, LSU 3. Sam Young, OT, Notre Dame 3. (Comp. for Berrian) Patrick Chung, SS, Oregon 5. Drew Willy, QB, Buffalo Thoughts?
