We've beat the #1 pick talk to death. Assuming we stay where we are at with no trades, who are you hoping for in round #2?

IMO, a free agent WR is out #1 priority. I think this because a). I don’t think we can draft a WR #1 after missing on Kevin White. . We want to help Mitch NOW, and rookie WR’s take time. C). We failed miserably at acquiring mid-level WRs. D). Last year we had what was arguably the worst WR group in the league. The good thing is we have $$$ and there are good WR available. Who do you want? All these guys have issues and concerns and this will cost. 1. Allen Robinson 2. Jarvis Landry 3. Sammy Watkins 4. Marquise Lee 5. Paul Richardson On a final thought, for those of you who like Albert Wilson, at best, he’s a 5’8 #4 WR.

WR Vincent Jackson - instantly becomes best threat in passing game, hurt alot and disappears Pierre Garcon - seems like a headcase.Isnt a #1 but certainly seems to think he is. Head and shoulders above our current scrubs Marques Colston - definitely available and becomes best threat in passing game, always hurt Stevie Johnson - I still think he wont sign or get tagged OL Levi Brown - 28, instant upgrade (not saying much tho) Ben Grubbs - 28, instantly best OG Carl Nicks - not interested for that cash (can anyone find the post where i kept saying just draft this guy cuz he was enormous) I think given the list above and…

With the NFL meetings come access to coaches and GMs. Rich Campbell put together some things to know about our new offense. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/ct-spt-bears-matt-nagy-bears-offense-20180327-story.html Some of the standout items: We'll be running 13 personnel quite often with 3 TEs on the field. This should answer the question as to why we kept Sims. Of course we'd all like to pay him less for what will be a more limited role. As is typical in KC, we'll be seeing lots of screens. Cadence... we may fail on offense but it will be done quickly. Some of those plays will be deep and maybe even on 4th down as it appear…

Here we go: 1. If Fields makes it to #4, the Bears move up to get him in a package that includes Miller (with the news of ATL wanting to move Julio) and obviously a bunch of picks. 2. If the Bears can't move up, Pace will trade down and take Mond in the late first. 3. A QB will be drafted for the first time since Trubisky. 4. Pace will trade up at least once in the draft. 5. Pace will draft at least one D2 player. 6. Pace will have conviction on all his picks. 7. Pace will mention the amount of collaboration the team had on all their picks. 8. At least 2x UDFA's will make the roster.

I'm not a big PFF guy, but these are interesting to note: Kevin White, WR, West Virginia Brandon Marshall is gone but fear not Bears fans because Kevin White is in town. A beast of a receiver, his physicality and ability to win downfield scared many a college defensive back and promise to do the same in the NFL. Only Amari Cooper forced more missed tackles, and only Devin Smith had more deep touchdowns (7) than the talented wideout. A truly explosive player, the tandem of him and Alshon Jeffery is one that rightly has the Bears fans in attendance sitting very pretty. This fit makes all kinds of sense. Detroit lost both starting tackles, there best pass rusher, there other DE and there starting safety. They added Jones/DE. Quin/FS and Bush. Bush is an upgrade but lost in the exchange of other players. Stafford does not play well under pressure.

Regarding the Rams pick at 22... "The Rams sat at 22. They wanted Ogletree and were reasonably confident he'd be there. But they'd been talking with Houston at 27 and Atlanta at 30 about moving down to recoup some of what they'd give up to acquire Austin. Their fallback guy was UCLA defensive end Datone Jones, but if he and Ogletree were gone, they'd take Kentucky guard Larry Warford." If there is discussion about Warford at 22, even though it's later stated in the article that they'd be slightly disappointed about all their other guys being taken earlier, then Long at 20 doesn't seem too out of this world.

With Charles Tillman retiring, I wanted to share my favorite Peanut story. On Nov 25, 2007, the Bears hosted the Broncos. Most people remember this game because Devin Hester had a kickoff and punt return for touchdowns. I remember it for another reason. The Bears were down by 7 points with under a minute left. The Broncos were set to punt and pin the Bears deep in their end of the field. As I used to do I when parked south of the stadium, I had walked down with my brother and friends to the main concourse to watch the end of the game so we could beat the crowd out of the building. We happened to be standing right behind the Bears bench before the punt All of a sudden…

We had early 16-6 lead, 16-9 at half (amazing right?), then got shutout in 2nd half and lost 22-16 with multiple possessions to tie/win the game near the end. In those possessions, Cutler got sacked, strip-sacked, and threw game ending INT. The defense played doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde all game long. One drive, look dominant and next drive, look completely lost. The offense looked good in the first half and looked like a high school team in the 2nd half. Sitton and Miller got hurt, and Floyd got hurt so bad he was carted off on a backboard with an apparent neck injury. So Floyd completes the Quad-fecta, and joins fellow 1st rounders (White, Fuller, and a …
