I read where with the money due Lewis this off season, he might be released. Any takers? I think his production wasnt great because of poor QBacking.

The Trib says the Bears are also looking at Bushrod and Cook and might have to choose between the two. I say if the Bears can get out of FA with either Long or Bushrod, I'd consider it a success. I'd even pay a little more for Long, all things being equal. I don't love Cook, and think it might be more prudent to sign a second-tier potential starter at TE (I've always liked Delanie Walker) and spend the extra $ at LT and look at TE and OG in the first round of the draft.

That both linemen that the bears have chosen come from very fast pace offensive teams. In face they come from two of the top five scoring teams. So is this a sign that the bears are picking athletes that can keep up with that fast pace?

Looking at our line we have a lot of battles for positions this year. We have centers that can play Guard we have Guards that can play center, we have guards that can or are projected in the future to play tackle and we have tackles that can play guard. After all of us posting mocks, debating FA pickups and FA departures going forward my focus will be on how the current roster takes to this regime and how many of the veterans of the previous regime will survive this TC. I usually take a vacation and visit 1 day. I'm thinking about making a couple of days out of it when I go. What are any of the rest of you expecting to see.
